If you have a Google Pixel phone, don't bother downloading this app. It only shows you previously searched items, and does not act as an extension for chrome. Like many other users, the ability, on an Android at least, to use this app to add external items to your universal wish list seems to be the primary reason for downloading. If that's the case, do yourself a favor and do it from a computer instead

Never used this app, it was a pre-installed app. And yet... It CONTINOUSLY keeps popping up on my screen, middle of the screen at that... Doesn't matter what you are doing online. From watching videos, listening to music...sending txt msgs! It just will not stop. I do not want to update the app. I do not want the app yet I cannot uninstalled the app! The only option I get is update or open!!! Looks like I'm being forced to keep a pre-installed app in order to keep my equipment running correctly.

Installed this thinking I would be able to add items from other sites to my wishlist like the desktop browser does. You can't. It does not show up at all in my browser. In addition when I open the app there is absolutely nothing to enter, no menu or buttons, except some generic settings which several seem to lead just to my own cell's settings. Sg9plus using chrome by the way. So it literally does nothing. Oh, except when I open it sometimes it shows a purse with a price saying I last looked at this.. I have never seen that purse in my life and have no idea where this comes from. This really needs an overhaul stat considering a great deal of people shop on their phones and it seems widely disappointing across all phone models and browsers. Get with it, please.

As many others have said, the app does not work the way it should on Android. I downloaded it as a way to add items to my wishlist from external sites, but it never gave me any options to do so on any site I visited. When I opened the app, itself, it just gave the examples of what I should see - none of the products I was browsing or even related products from Amazon. Pretty useless, overall.

Hugely irritating! It constantly appears whether you want it to or not. It might be useful if you could control it more easily but it's either enabled and gets in your way (even when you're looking at its own suggestions!) or you have to keep it disabled so it's not there at all. As I said, it could be useful but not in its current format so I've uninstalled it.

It only shows up some of the time, and trying to manually open the app doesn't give the option to add something external to my Amazon wish list, which was the real reason I downloaded the app. It barely even works when I try to use it to add something that was found on Amazon to my wishlist, I had to try it several times to get it to work.

I think Amazon is a great app. . Gives consumers a chance to cross reference it's products, and has a place to review a product, or get a preliminary review before you buy or make a decision. I base some decisions on reviews, but a consumer knows what they want. I'm old enough to know the difference between brand and then the teared downfall. Most generally, I buy brand, extra warranty. The app however, easy navigation, designed well on the outside, and the index and setting aren't that hard.

not so impressed, I really do like the idea & it does work in a way. The problem is, for example I'm online shopping for a item. The notification bubble does it show up on the screen, usually with the phrase "found this on Amazon". 95% of the time it is the wrong item and description with a price increase of of like 3000%.

Jen. G. Jul 3, 2020

I thought this app was supposed to help you find the cheapest price for whatever item you are googling to buy? The one time it did pop up, it just showed me a more expensive price on Amazon. I mean, I get that it's "Amazon" assistant, but it would be nice to have an app that will scour the internet for the cheapest price. Even nicer if it would find cheapest price AND best quality for your money! 😆

Sometimes annoying when I am just looking up something for a description but otherwise it is a great reminder when in an online store that there may be a better price on Amazon. If you are an Amazon Prime member (I am), it might remind you that you can get the same item with free shipping and maybe today or next day delivery. I would have given it a 5 star rating except for those times when it appears unrelated to what I am searching for; which is most often lookup other than shopping.

Doesn't work the way it should. Doesn't recognise any browser I'm using on my android, so there is no way to add to wishlist from external sites. Shame. Edit: a year on from my last review and with a new phone too, this is still not working. Everything is enabled, but nothing shows up. I want this app to work but it is just a waste of time.

All searches for adding products to you Amazon wishlist from external websites imply this is the answer. Amazon's old links about doing that on Android all appear to now redirect to a page about Amazon Assistant, passively implying it's the new solution. After installing it I did see on their page that the wishlist functionally is only specifically called out as a feature for the desktop version. Furthermore, I didn't seem to be able to get the basic price comparison to work on my phone, and I see no basic guides of how it should work on Android. Lastly, the invasive nature of this is problematic... I think I'll be looking at some of the alternative wishlist services after this Christmas is done.

I'm not even sure what this app could do because it wouldn't let me passed the first set up requirement! It said I needed to turn on accessibility so I did, then I clicked the next tap/button and then it told me I had to turn off accessibility! After several failed attempts I gave up. Anything that finicky isn't going to be user friendly or enjoyable to use.

Lots of problems with the app not allowing the option of adding items to my wishlist that are not Amazon. Uninstalling as we interact immediately to stop the crashes from my android device. When I get an iPhone maybe I will have the chance to try it again and be successful with using the app for its intended purpose. For now I am going to have to say farewell.

Garbage. Doesn't do anything! I downloaded the app to add items from non Amazon sites to my Amazon baby registry. Allowed the permissions (although it doesn't say what it actually needs on or off), but it doesn't work. No real support to get it working and no good resources to troubleshoot. Opened up several different websites and this app does nothing. I will try out on a PC but this is unacceptable in an age of mobile browsing/shopping.

Installed this so I could add items to my wish list from non-Amazon sites (that's what Amazon help pages say to do). I had to disable various android security features to get it to run. Then, instead of letting me add items from other sites it just finds them on Amazon (in one case at twice the price). If it can't find the item on Amazon it remains silent with no option to add to list. Full of promise but delivers nothing. What a let down.

Awful. Once it was downloaded, it basically took over my samsung tablet. You had to double click every letter or number. It doesn't allow you to swipe right to access your other apps. In essence, if I could have given it zero stars I would have. There are two voices constantly talking over each other, it was like having two wives, when one nagging is enough.

This app has permanently screwed up my phone. I turned it off because it kept interrupting when I was using the pinch feature. I put it to sleep for 30 minutes but it still kept happening. Even after turning it off and force stopping it kept interrupting. I uninstalled it because I was so frustrated and now it still interrupts when pinching to tell me that the app is uninstalled and the feature is not available. I've gone through all of my settings and I can't seem to disable it. I'm pissed off.

This app doesn't actually work with the two browsers on their "supported" list I have installed. Chrome (yes, I set the permissions it asks for) didn't load it at all, and Samsung Internet shows it as an add-on, but won't let me enable it. I don't have dolphin and have no desire to install yet another browser on my phone. Since the only purpose the app has that can't be fulfilled by the regular Amazon app is to add items from 3rd party Web sites to your wishlist, this app is completely useless to me. This is doubly disappointing as I use this add-on in Windows for the Edge browser with almost no problems. If this app worked with any of the browsers it's supposed to, and/or worked with Edge, I'd keep it. As is, I Uninstalled it and just added the one thing I was wanting to from my windows computer where this app works.

There used to be a way to add non amazon items to an amazon wish list in the days of computers. This app is supposedly the new way, in the age of the mobile device. I allowed it all the permissions it requested to function. I went to a website out side of amazon to add a non amazon product and there was no way to add to the wishlist. Went back to the app, nothing... It did not seem to really do anything. I read the reviews and found out that I was not alone in this experience. UNINSTALLED!

Easy to use the app in all departments. All what we need find easly. The buying goods reach at appropriate time. No problem to find what we need. The prices for different items more suitable. The quality of different products are very good. The given discounts more suitable. Delivering charge more suitable. The taxes on goods not high. The variety for choosing our needs very easily. The Delivering time is more suitable. We can exchange the broken items easly. All departments are in goo

Terrible. Only supports chrome but then didn't even do anything with that browser. Oh, and they are stealing all your browsing data all the time on that browser, not just when you're using the app. In short, doesn't work but does steal your data - score!

Vik. M. Oct 25, 2018

This app does absolutely nothing. It's supposed to be the mobile version of the desk top application and it doesn't do that. Only downloaded so I could add things to my wish list. It doesn't have that capability. I think this app needs to be withdrawn and an overhaul done to improve it.

Sar. Nov 5, 2018

Absolutely useless. Doesn't do anything. Thought adding items to my wish list from other sites, was a great idea but it doesn't work. The icon is supposed to appear when you're on other websites, which you click to add an item to your Amazon list but the icon never appears, no matter what site you're on and the app has no information in it at all. No help section, no information on how to use the app and the settings section just takes you to your phones settings.

Rey. H. Aug 4, 2020

Unless permissions are granted for Amazon's assistant you will not be able to use this app at all. I 've tried to give the permissions and I reached a deaf end where there are no buttons to give the access. This was too much time wasted, so much time I forgot what I wanted to purchase. Not a friendly, not easy to open, use of it is conditioned by Amazon assistant and if you don't mind the assistant it is just not possible to give the permission, feels like you must know where to click 2 advance

Jas. T. '. Jun 23, 2020

I dont understand this apps purpose. I've done everything it says to have it properly run including activating the special permissions needed for it to work. But again, it's useless. Every now and then, there will be a few recommended products that are similar to what I e browsed but as I said, every now and then. Literally I've got 3 recommended products for over 100 I've searched for and the 3 recommended by Amazon assistant were garbage. So as I said, I don't understand its purpose.

Afa. P. Oct 21, 2020

It is not my phone's fault it has the most up to date OS with Android 10, but it won't show how to make it compatible for Chrome and doesn't open up exactly where the settings are. It is still a very formidable idea, but needs a streamlined set-up. No use to me.

Bra. B. May 21, 2021

There is no tutorial on what is supposed to happen, I gave the app all of the permissions and turned it on. Nothing ever looked up using chrome even after making sure to allow the permissions. People are saying the computer app works better. I'll try that. Just trying to link another registry to my Amazon one...
