Like this cloud service very much. Good speeds for uploading and downloading. Overall a better app than Google Drive. I would like if Amazon would have given the free users at least 10 GB storage. It would be nice if there was dark mode. A simpler interface could be more attractive. Otherwise a good app. It could have been the best cloud service better than Google if you all made those updates. Keep on developing this more often.

works great, does what I want and need. amazon is a name you can trust to a certain degree for a product that will do what it states. I would like an option to cancel an upload so it doesn't get stuck in the que... a common error complained about by many with page after countless page of forum complaints online. but otherwise great cloud storage with generous free portion.

I mainly use it to view photos stored o amazon cloud drive, and its viewer is rather bad, especially its gray background instead of black, and the fact it doesn't switch to full screen when vieweing a photo. Also, there is no way to temporarily rotate a miss-oriented photo. Also, no dark theme. Also, a search could be a bit more advanced, for example, would be nice to specify (include, exclude) file extensions, timestamp ranges, etc. Maybe even EXIF fields on pics.

Unreliable behavior (or reliably bad). I rename a folder on one device and when I go to my drive on another device it is duplicated and shows differently depending on device regardless of refreshes. If experience was as seamless as Google drive I would switch for the unlimited photo storage.

The App works well. I like the fact I can create folders and sub-folders to organize my stuff. Dislike the fact that Amazon restricts online viewing of videos to those 20 minutes or less. Anything larger must be downloaded. I find that a ridiculous restriction as it takes no more of their bandwidth to push play the video than it does for them to upload the entire video to me. That restriction even exists on the PC Amazon Drive website, and not just mobile app.

I had started having trouble with one of my hard drives and needed somewhere "cloudy" to back up my stuff. Having been a keen amateur photographer since 2007ish, I've around 30k images, many of them over 10mb each. This app enables you to make an exact copy of your hard drive. Very, very good.... and it's free for Prime members. Even better.

It does allow you to upload files, create folders and that is it. Search does only seem to search file names, no meta data, no file content. Sorting is either name or upload date. No filtering. I do upload pictures and videos to my storage (which are not automatically imported by Amazon Photos...). Browsing through a huge list of photos is super laying lagging and slow. Previous of PDFs, pictures are also rather slow and off has quality. There seems not to be an API to access the storage.

Not very good. Looks like a app from Android 4, no modern design and a bad UI. If you look at Google Drive or One Drive then look at this, it's horrible. It also looks like the app doesn't fit my screen size (S20U) and looks nothing like the images on this page and has a big black header and footer that is more than 2 inchs wide.

It works fine and better than google drive but I emailed the developer earlier and got reply that the email adres wasnt found by gmail!!! 2 functions need to be put in, when busy uploading a file and you click on the 3 dots next to it, it just shows 'uploading'! There needs to be a pause function to the upload and also a cancel function to the uploaded file. And what is your email adres mr developer? Please respond and leave it for us, thank you!!!!!!

Shut off automatic upload to Amazon Photos. Photos downloaded will upload copies to Amazon photos app dumbasses If The app is not optimized don't list it on Play store Amazon. Also just to download 2000 photos they won't group them They said it's too much photos for download to do it on your desktop which is ridiculous because most tablets have more RAM than my old laptop that I never use from 2008 that will work on that. Here it is 5 days later and it's still downloading w/ gigibite speed.

This cloud is a pleasantly fast way to organise photos the way you like them, if you are a prime member unlimited storage for photos, 5 GB VIDEOS at least that's how A I understood it but it's a great app love Amazon 😊 I accidently deleted some of my pictures and Amazon is very nice and gets back to you fast like this app. It's awesome and fast once you learn to use it correctly, I haven't had much luck with Google photos or Google drive, Google Photos steels your pictures and GoogleDrive SLOW.

Very poor functionality, tried to upload 5 audio files, it has uploaded 1 and has stuck for hours on the rest 4. It doesn't even let me cancel. On the same internet connection at the same time Dropbox happily uploaded all 5 in no time. It's a pity because storage here is cheaper than dropbox, so if it was working properly I would definitely buy space here.

Based on my experience with this app, it should be renamed the "Something went wrong" app. Most of the time when I am attempting to move files between folders, I will get the "Something went wrong" message. It definitely causes challenges and frustration.

I love how Prime members get unlimited photo and files storage. Wish the video limit was more but that's okay. The search feature needs some work and it'd be great to organize files by size and type. Also not sure how to find my trash bin...but all in all a greatly improved app that I now enjoy using. Keep up the good work guys and plz don't change the Prime members benefits (that's why i use this app lol).

In desperate need of a design refresh, to match the design of the Alexa app and some others. Other than that, the fact that this comes bundled in with your prime membership is a godsend for users who don't wanna pay an absurd amount of money for cloud storage. I love that your ecosystem is all based around a Prime membership and that makes it very easy for users. Thank you guys.

Good cloud service, but so primitive app with limited functionality. Not possible to upload folders, not possible to upload many files (> 300) or big files (tried on video 3.5gb), there is no option to cancel the upload, very long annoying upload preparing... When re-uploading the same files, app does not ask to skip or overwrite, just creates files copy (!).

Useless for digital file storage. This & the dedicated photo app seem not to have heard of folders or structured storage. Files & photos must be stored as individual files in a huge dustbin!! Not my files, I have an average of 10 folders a month holding my stuff in a hierarchy of nested storage. These apps appear to have no place in 'storage!'

Confusing to use when you try to send/share a video file with someone. Especially when the other person doesn't have Android. What good is it to receive an email saying a video has been shared, but then not have it load because I apparently haven't granted permission? It's either shared or not, shouldn't be a two step process.

Great 4 storing Everything as long as I have Prime . It also plays back Ur pic library on Ur TV or Amazon device . I suggest NOT syncing because I have had so many of my oldest stored files from Google Cloud & my old hard drive wiped . And some wound up here & some on another hosting service. Organization is the key when I have 10K or more photos.

I'm from Ukraine. Few days ago my Photos plan, which I was purchasing for several last years, has expired. It has happened accidentally - I didn't want this to happen, just missed. Now I want to re-purchase the plan again, however neither web-browser version nor the app allows me to do this - it doesn't show me any plans at all. In addition, there's no way for me to contact the support (at least, I can't find any way to do it). Everything this is more than ridiculous!

The storage option in the app describes that I can get unlimited photos and videos storage if I'm a prime customer. When I click the option is asking for a prime membership at 12.99$/month. I'm already a prime customer in India and surprised to see such an app experience. If i get this option, i may completely swith over to Amazon for my storage needs.

I'm not sure what the point of this app is. I uninstalled it as quickly as installed it. My document folder contained two documents. I have 1,200 I can access through the Kindle app. It had a brief fraction of the photos I can access through Amazon Photos. Really...what's the point?

Mic. C. Jun 18, 2019

It's a basic application that allows users to view, download, and share content from their Amazon drives. It works well for that, but it doesn't include a capability to broadcast photos or videos to an external device such as a roku streaming stick.

Jas. R. Apr 11, 2020

It is ok but it will not play videos through the app. It continually says something wrong. So you have to download them onto your phone to watch them. There hasn't been an update to the app for 2 years! You would think amazon could spend some time and money to improve things.

After I discovered that Amazon provides this cloud service I thought I would try it out. I am glad I did, it's very easy to use, and some types of files are unlimited and free of charge, while Google Drive and other cloud storage options charge a low price.

Jac. R. Oct 20, 2019

Doesnt upload my photos. I installed it and created a folder in the cloud and then selected all my files in my pictures father on my phone, more than 3,000 files, and when I clicked to upload selecting 'open' and the application simply closes out of sight and the files don't get uploaded! Waste of time. Please fix this lousy app.

Just noticed that my pictures haven't been backed up by this app despite the settings. For me this is a failed version of onedrive and google. Looked very promising but nah! Not even meh! Just bleh. Expected better from Amazon but after watching a GREAT DOC ON CBC about what they knowingly do to their sellers. Shameful and Shocking and not in keeping with the brand they promote. Need an item, read reviews and learn what exactly you want and find it LOCALLY at anything other than amazon. Thx
