Amazon Prime Video

The videos that are available are of good quality and some features are great like saving a watchlist and having each episode in a series running onto the next automatically. But I have to say that I find it frustrating that as I live in a non English speaking country, Amazon hasn't put the Original audio on some of the English speaking films. And the selection of videos is less than in other countries like the UK for example. Would be nice if they could look into that.

Sick of complaining about video replay issues & nothing being done. Random titles are being classed as unavailable, even though they are free to view. You get 'This video is currently unavailable' underneath the film or TV show. One film which currently states this is 'Who Dares Wins' starring Lewis Collins. I have logged out of the app several times & logged back in, but this isn't a fix. I've emailed the address listed here, but it pings back saying you aren't accepting emails!!! SORT IT OUT!

Great app. Not perfect, but you don't need a subscription. It saves money bc your not paying for movies and tv shows you don't wanna watch. But tv shows get expensive when you have to pay for every episode. Also, one question. Are the pictures on the app preview screenshots.slecificaly Samsung.

The English description is set as the default to everything I watch. It is easy enough to go through captions to correct it but aggravates me this is even necessary, when it only recently began doing it. There are a lot of easy things to do (i.e.going to the bathroom, blowing your nose,taking off your shoes and putting them right back on) but do want to do that easy thing unnecessarily every 42 minutes or so every night for the rest of your life. I don't.

Everytime I'm watching the movie blacks out with the sound still going. Even when I close the app. and restart screen stays black. It's not my internet connection cause my other streaming services work fine this last few updates have been terrible. Why am I paying all this money to be with Amazon and not get good quality. Have already gave up on your music and about to give up on your movie streaming.

So many free movies! And 90% of the movies I own are through Amazon Prime. I love how I can access them from any computer, anywhere. It's so much easier than lugging DVDs to friends' homes! And my "watch list" is jam-packed full of movies that I want to see when I have the time ... and a huge amount of them are free Prime movies. I love this app, & I highly recommend it!!

Not so amazing anymore. Was very convenient and was able to see new movies and shows for rent or purchase. Now feels like they have removed 30% of functionality. Have to specifically surch for new film and then cannot buy through the app. You need to go to a website! I cannot even do it through my other prime app...very frustrating..will be buying less shows and movies. Better to get blue ray discs.

Always works. Dislike ads when I am already paying for the service! Also dont like that some are free and some are to pay for. Also dont like that it says 'buy' but you're just paying for a temporary license so it is a bit dishonest. But it does work. I have a student account so it is only £4 per month for all the prime features. Great overall.

Up until recently, you have been my favourite streaming app, have been for a long time. But you've changed the way a movie/TV show is purchased, and it's way more complicated than it needs to be. It's super frustrating. This will mean you lose out on me buying the show/movie. It would be better if you could click a link & automatically open up into wherever you need to be, but there's nothing. This system is ridiculous. Maybe I should try Netflix now instead. Sort it out amazon, please!

Really liked the app prior to this most recent update. Have no idea why they make you come out of the app into the site on your browser to search for a movie title all over again just to rent/buy when the previous setup right in the app was so convenient. I'm sure it's going to lead to alot less rentals and purchases just from the unnecessary hassle. Definitely went from better to worse.

They completely disabled the ability to purchase and rent movies in this app. What is the point of showing movies that aren't prime videos stating they are available for rent or purchase when they really aren't at all? Bad business move. No point to buying or renting movies now through Amazon. The Amazon Shop app even does not allow you to purchase or rent, they are making you go to the browser to do so. So what's the point of the app, if you have to go to the browser? Inconvenient...

Certainly enough free movies to make it worthwhile & those that cost $ are reasonably priced for the most part. What I don't like is the fact that once you start watching a film you paid for, you have 48 hours in which to watch, whilst before you start viewing you have 30 days in which to access it. They should just allow you to watch it anytime over the full month period instead of all the different time constraints which are an annoyance. Otherwise in general I have no problems.

App use to be great and I would check the deals every few days and there was some good deals on all the time. Big issue now is for the past few days Amazon have taken away the function to buy movies/shows away on the app. You can still browse what's on offer but no price is shown, instead you have to go to the website to purchase them only to come back to the app to watch. Was so simple before but now it's not, probably won't bother with the mobile app anymore until they change it back.

Application was decent prior to most recent update. Interface was always mediocre as in it wasnt the most intuitive and user friendly. I could get past that as I was able to still navigate and overlook some nuisances. HOWEVER now yoy cant see the price of the video even base rent/buy. A simple 'How do I watch this?' appears and when clicked on it refers you to the Amazon App. So backwards it was fine prior.

Was already annoyed when they took away the option to buy via the app. Now apparently you can't buy things using the Amazon site on your phone. All I have is my phone. I should get a refund for the last month's of my subscription. They charged me a year subscription without my permission and I only kept it to try out everything, thinking I would have it all year. Then the programs ended or you don't get as much access without paying more. Now I can't buy what I want anymore. Bs!

Phone loses control of cast if you navigate away from app, when you leave it up the phone screen stays active whilst casting. Difficult to skip forwards or backwards without going way too far. The 10 second skips probably take about 10 seconds to buffer. Often unable to resume a live stream when casting, it'll just go to live. Even when you find the right point on the device being cast from, and then cast, it'll jump to live. Often drops in & out of a clear HD picture.

All recent releases are all of a sudden not being offered in the menu. Too bad. Your loss. I will purchase them in another app. Way to go Amazon Technical staff on missing this extremely important feature. Bet your wondering why your revenue is down on renting and buying recent releases in the Amazon Prime Video app. It's because it's not there anymore. 🤦🏼‍♀️

This app is garbage. It is constantly freezing and crashing. When it does work the screen will go black but sound keeps playing. I used to have uninstall then re-install the app, but now it still has no sound and black screen. This has been happening for months now. I obviously have the latest update since I constantly have to uninstall and re-install. Please fix this issue or at least provide a work around.

App was fine before, not the best streaming app but not the worst. Well after the update they did May 2022 it no longer saves your place if you stop mid episode or movie, making you have to go back and find both the episode you were watching, but also where you left off because it will not save your progress. It also makes absolutely no sense at all that they would take away the ability to rent/buy from the app, what on earth were your developers thinking.

This app is so amazing, it has a lot of really great shows/movies and the option to add other apps to it (ex. HayU, StackTV, AMC+, and much more) and for really affordable prices. It can be watched on my TV, computer, and phone, it's always with me. Amazon Prime Video will leave you with no regrets.

Worst streaming service out there. Every, and I mean every, movie or show is out of sync. Same issue on every device. I can watch any of the other streaming apps without issue, ever. Prime and its pet project Freevee cannot provide a single uninterrupted show. Engineered failure right here! They try to imply it's due to my internet connection. If that were true, the issue would not be isolated to this one failing service. They offer no solution, just deal with it, or stop using their service.

10x Better, faster and less glitchy than the Amazon shopping app! I can watch any episode from a few of my favorite shows for only a few bucks a month, whenever I'd like to. Not a bad selection of movies either!! The prices for rentals and purchasing shows or movies that aren't free on Prime are very pricey, however the Prime app provides discounted deals and freebies for trying out specific channels. That's pretty cool.

I have been using this app for a few weeks now and I have really enjoyed it so far. The movies and various titles Are very different than other networks. I can always find something to watch. And love seeing old and new titles. I could do without the loading time when paused during movie. But all n all it's been very refreshing and I so look forward to watching. Thank you Prime Video.

Streaming service is good. I do hate that the app will randomly resize the screen, cutting off large portions of the movie/show to "make it fit the screen better." And that when it does this, sometimes the option to resize it yourself disappears completely. That's pretty irritating. Would be 5 stars otherwise

They've taken away the ability to buy or rent films within the app. It now directs you to the website instead, and worse still, doesn't even provide a hyperlink. Never heard of a streaming service making it way more difficult to buy or rent movies before? Talk about shooting yourself in both feet!

Best thing about this is that it's great for the kids because of all the kid shows. Other than that, it's ehh. I'd rather not watch anything that watch the free stuff on here. Have to rent or subscribe to watch anything good. Also, the sound when connected to bluetooth is way lower than EVERY other app I have.

Prime has become a waste of money. I've always put up with the terrible UX, lack of decent offerings and unreliable service because at least streaming services are worth the money because of the lack of ads. But now that you get stuck with multiple unskippable ads every episode/film I have to wonder what the hell we're paying for? TV shows and films from 2001? and ads about things I couldn't give a damn about? Might as well give up the membership and just PAYG if you can't find it elsewhere.

I dislike the new app update. I liked having the store option to where I could tap it and look through all the available rentals before renting on my TV. My phone is easier to navigate when searching for rentals. Now that option is gone and it's become very difficult to do this.
