The app is OK at best. The interface feels like its lacking a modern touch, feels very "highschool IT student". The actual product is good but... I cannot find a control for the lateral movement of the vanes on my air con, only vertical swing to the louver. I really hope for an update to fix all this or I'd recommend sticking to the more popular "sensibo" product. I'm even regretting the 3 stars if it werent for the actual product.
When their server is down, you can't use the app to control your air-con (turn off, change mode, change temperature, etc). Basically the hardware become a home decoration without any functionality. Also, their customer service will delete your conversation if it is not favourable to them.
Well made app. Product is well executed as well. What surprised me was the excellent customer support and openness to feedback. Not only does the support team respond quickly and resolve issues, they also follow up extensively on suggestions/feedback. Keep it up.
Been working reliably for most part in the last 3yrs, so generally pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone living under a subtropical climate. Would be been more effective if it can be integrated with my infrared remote fan and if geolocation trigger can be conditional on outdoor/indoor temp.
Server down again, today all my ambi says the wifi is on different network, but my phone works fine on the same wifi. Ambi ceo julian if you're reading this, you need to start deploying custom firmware / function with offline mode for customers with more than 3 ambi's. Imagine having 20 ambi's and have to check internet on each one them, not practical at all. Will change this review once this is fixed.
It worked for 2 summers and then it stop 'conditoning' my AC units, and my profile had 1947 feedback in it. Contact their people, email them screencap and other then the usual email template bs, no response ... now it gets hot and I want my AC cold and comfortable!!! NOPE ITS NOT !!!
It was working fine until about two weeks ago. Now it keeps losing connection and I cannot power on my A/Cs halt of the time.
works grear with my gree, i mean cooper hunter mini split. Timer function is easy to use. Voice controlled is great, cold, chilly, comfortable.
Super dumb. Constantly disconnected which requires you to forget device and re registered which could take centurieeeeeees to get done. And many times causing us getting hootttttttttt in handling the stupid system instead of getting us chill down.
Suddenly I cannot log into the app. "Failed to log in. (E1102)" and I have no clues what the error is.
Does not measure temperature in Fahrenheit even with my locality set correctly.
App could be better, but product is amazing!
Is this work with any type of ac as long as the remote have lcd ?

Turning on or off my LG TV causes the Ambi to go to manual mode, I talked to support and they fixed it, another complaint is that the IR range isn't great, other than that it's a very good device.

Very useful device. The analytics are detailed and the app is smooth to use. CONS: other remotes interferes with the ambi when used in the same room (a fan in my case). Also I'm not sure it actually reduced electricity bills compared to the month prior when we did not have the ambi.
Not a bad device, it does exactly what it says. However, i'm just not able to give it 5 stars because 1) Comfort mode doesn't turn off the AC when it gets too cold so you're going to have a HUGE electric bill if you dont baby sit it. 2) Ambi doesn't work with Google Assistant and other AI. Nice start, needs to turn off the AC to earn 5 stars.
The app tries to be overly clever and is hard to use. The main display doesn't clearly indicate: 1. whether the AC is on or off. 2. what time the AC turned on or off in relation to the temperature in the space. these are two of the most basic pieces of information that a user needs to use Ambi effectively! why are they so obscured? the app also doesn't put any time markers on the history that it shows which makes it basically useless. just because "spark lines" are hip doesn't mean they work for this use case.
Highly appreciate the continuous improvement, the high availability of support personnel. Hoping that you guys consider a black themed interface 👍
I am not sure what happened but the App keeps crashing now since July 25th. it's been working fine with Android P Preview 4 since June 28th.
I hoped if they'd add an official Google assistant compatibility instead of using it through IFTTT.
Crashes with Android P developer preview 2, please update.
This is a revolutionary device. Now I can sleep like a baby.
Bought a few Ambi Climate units for the house over the past few years. Service goes down abruptly from time to time (like today) without any email notification nor status updates available anywhere. There is no way to operate your air conditioning without a remote. Downtime is getting increasingly common and frustrating to be kept in the dark on when it will be up. Unless something is improved, I'm done with Ambi Climate.
