Ambience - Nature sounds: relax and sleep

Just trying it out . Can't move for ads (often literally, my screen is frozen, and no, it's not my phone ...). That's a pity, because it's a very promising little app and I can't even figure out how much I'd like it otherwise. Some lovely sounds. I normally don't mind ads, they make freebies possible. Might be my region...

I bought the app because I really liked the design of the app and moreover the quality of some ambient sounds I like. I would give it a 5 star rating if the app hooked into the media player part of my phone. For example right now I can't pause using my Bluetooth headset or control the media on my desktop (kde plasma connect).

Absolutely the best for sleep and meditation sounds. It has a large selection of quality ambience sounds, perfect for mixing. Also, it is the only app that will let you import your own custom sounds to mix with it's already impressive list of sounds. It also has a timer to automatically shut off, so as not to kill the battery. This app helps me to relax and prepare for sleep. I set the timer for 20 minutes, and most nights, I am asleep before the timer shuts off.

This app is great! I have Sensory Processig Disorder,anxiety and adhd. I use it everyday and night. It makes moments tolerable that otherwise wouldn't be bearable. Thanks! 💙 Just to reiterate, I use this app 24/7 basically. To sleep, to go outside, just to hang out, etc. Also for the people complaining about ads the full version has no ads and is very worth it.

I loved this, and used to go to sleep with it every night, but it started doing this weird volume thing, where the sound will drop real low for a few seconds then back to normal..distracting and not helpful when trying to concentrate on the sounds to fall asleep..I jus tried it again last night, and it's still doing it, with a new phone this time

ZENTASTIC! I've run this app for many months and I find it totally relaxing. Great selection of categorised sounds with individual full volume controls. It runs parallel with other apps so for example, I was listening to Adam Buxton's book with the crackle of fire, an owl and some distant thunder. Great enhanced experience. 10/10😁

Trying to set up my sounds for sleep, I received an advertisement each time I selected an option. You can not click away from the app, or the sounds will stop. I didn't get a chance, but I didn't see a way to save my sounds, and at that point I was frustrated enough that I don't want this app on my phone anymore. If you want to reset your options each night, aren't bothered by constant ads while setting up, and don't plan on clicking away from the app, it works great!

The best sleep sounds app I've used so. I have severe tinnitus so I can't sleep without some kind of background noise that overpowers the ringing in my ears. I've used a ton of different sleep sounds apps and this one is by far the best. My wife, our two girls and I use Ambience every single night when going to sleep. It's easy to use, has a great sound variety and I love the ability to mix and layer the different sounds which all have independent volume leveling. Can't sleep without it!

I love this app! There is a wide array of multiple sounds and those sounds are separated into categories. You can combine sounds, even from different categories, to create what you want to hear. You can even adjust volume and set a timer for any length of time up to 12 hours (I think - I still need to look more closely at the timer, but it can be set for many hours or just a few minutes). I highly recommend this app - I have used it many times to fall asleep and it is immensely helpful.

Really useful in many ways. Thanks. But few things to mention: 1. Why so may different apps? Why can't be different sounds from different apps, can be directly purchased in ambiance app only? 2. Advance features like adding timer to individual sounds in overall ambiance, will be beneficial in some settings. Along with that, if we can create Playlist of ambiance, then even better.

I love this app! Tons of sounds to choose from. You can combine upto 3 sounds (in the free version), each with its own volume control. Yes, there are adds and they sometimes pop up at inconvenient times, but they only last a few seconds, so I can live with that. Highly recommended!!!

Ab*so*LUTELY awesome!!! Sooooo many sounds to choose from! You can select multiple sounds to layer as a combination, say- for example- a few different types of bird sounds plus gentle rain! Creator comments/info sound intelligent, calm and respectful. Extremely super price- tonsss to enjoy for free, and just $3.99 one-time price for Premium. Mind blown!!!!! [My only wish- and it's a strong one- is for "live (emphasis on live) nature visuals" to be available too. ]

The best free nature sounds app. Excellent variety, many categories, and sounds that are actually high quality. I even enjoy some of the non-nature sounds, which is rare for me. I also really appreciate getting a sample of the premium version for just watching one ad.

Simply the best collection of programmable integrated sound over sound(s) makes this app outstanding. This app allows the user to create his/hers own unlimited compositions using different sounds as well as musical instruments together, which is comparable to a Foley artist. Very ingenious concept.

Its pretty good you can only play 3 sounds at a time for free but if you watch advert then you can play more for "48 hours" as it says (I haven't tested it yet) the range of sounds is pretty decent especially compared to more paywall blocked sounds apps ..there is the odd pop up add here and there but still decent for what you can do on the app for free .. worth a go if your looking for this kind of thing

Ok I loved the app at 1st but then I started getting these low tapping scratching noise on the relaxing music..I get me to where I wanted to tear my hair out..id start to fall asleep & tapping scratces like a very bad album over abused ...that bad!! If it don't get fixed I will be looking for a diff app ..and no do not have any other sounds added to the music only parts ..😵

Shame as adverts in app ruin it totally for me. It's supposed to be a relaxation app but ads are everywhere like if you pick more than two sounds you get a loud annoying af video ad pop up every time...No just no! I could pay for the premium to remove ads supposedly forever and get rid of the ads. But I did with another popular relaxation app, they then went subscription based and removed my full paid version in an update so I'd have to subscribe! So not this time sorry.

DO NOT UPGRADE! My android phone is set for manual updates. I had an update once in a while, decided to update for any new features... wrong, tons of more annoying ads, everytime when opening and closing. Now am trying to see if I can find the previous version or another less ad bombarded app.

Awesome. I can't truly tell how i love this amazing app. If you see ads you can do very useful things. You don't like too see ads, no problem, this app is awesome in offline mode too. I love that and I definitely recommend you install it, as I recommend that to all of my friends.

Very good app and very versatile. I love the way you can mix sounds from different themes. The ads are not too intrusive, I feel they are about the right balance for providing a free app.

Great sounds, but short duration and you can hear when it loops...every 15 seconds. That alone keeps me awake and distracted. Very disappointing.

This is one of the best well being Apps available. There are a comprehensive choice of relaxing sounds which create calm. Also, there are other day to day sounds that are helpful for people with Misophonia helping you learn to tolerance noisy & challenging situations. You can even integrate your own MP3 sound! All the sounds can be mixed and played cumulatively to suit your personal taste with advert removal for a modestly priced one off payment. Much gratitude & thanks to the Developer.

I use this every night a day cannot sleep without it. There are so many options I love this app. It works super well and it's worth to money for sure! Obviously it could always use more sounds but there's plenty for all sorts or preferences!

I love this app and regularly use it with earbuds to sleep. But it really is a power hog. The likes of Spotify will drain maybe 25% of the power over night? This drains 85% if not more. I regularly wake up with 4% battery left...

It's very versatile. Not only does it have dual sound feature, the app plays music and high frequency sounds. Most app's I've used don't have this accessible.

good and bad. Randomly the apps closes while in use ..which tends to be a pain because I am just starting to doze off. I love the sounds and have my favotites. But the randomly shutting down..is the worst.

I downloaded the app hoping it would help me sleep. I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked. I usually play two or three sounds like thunder, rain and wind. I switch it up and add a dove or an owl instead of one or two of the others. It's been super helpful.
