Ambient Mixer Music

S🌟O🌟L🌟V🌟E🌟D! Until now, to prevent the app from closing, I had to keep my phone charging while using the app (which required enabling the "Stay Awake" setting in Developer Options). After many, many attempts to keep app open and playing while phone is locked, I finally figured it out. THE FIX? Go to Settings>Apps>Ambient Mixer>Battery and check "unrestricted." This allows the app to play even when the phone is locked. (Note: battery will drain over long periods, so plug in if possible.)

Works wonderfully on a computer, but on mobile the mixers just stop operating after a minute or so of putting one on and putting my phone down, I have to completely restart the app with a different mixer to get it started again. It's frustrating because there are so many fantastic soundscapes on here and I use them on my laptop to help me write and immerse myself in my reading and they help with my anxiety, but I wish they were more accessible

The app has a lot of good background sounds that I enjoy when it works. But if I do anything else on my phone it shuts off the app and I have to restart the whole thing. It seems like it has been happening more frequently too. Sounds like the company has no interest in fixing this, based on other reviews and the generic responses they have received. Would be one star if I didn't like the music as much as I do.

It's a beautiful concept, but it keeps crashing when on in the background even after the removal of any kind of battery conditions. With such a huge collection, it's a great app which has much potential in it's user interface which currently isn't very user friendly and the other issues that exist like crashing.

It use to be amazing. I use to use this to go to sleep. I charge my phone at night and just let it go. But now it just crashes and turns off and I can't even reconnect my Bluetooth headphones unless I turn off everything and start over. It's getting to be really frustrating.

With its copious amount of sounds and variety of categories, I use it to study, read and for my tabletop games. You can change the sounds, upload your own, has several channels and a friendly UI. It does an excellent job on what it does, but with two critical issues. When the app isn't focused or not in use, it abruptly stops or the sounds fade out. The high-quality sounds get fuzzy occasionally in extended use. These issues hasn't been fixed for some time, and I'm growing irresolute.

The old version of the app was GREAT. It had a sleep timer, easy interface, hardly ever hung up. The new one is bad all around. It stops playing after 2-5 minutes, even if you follow all the little "tips" they've given to fix that issue. If you want a timer, you have to pay, but what's the point if the app won't play long enough for a timer to matter. I'm uninstalling & using the website. It doesn't have a timer either, but at least it plays right.

Awesome sound, and a spectacular selection! I recommend headphones for best experience. However, the app is super glitchy. Every once in a while, my ambient sound will start "skipping" like a scratched cd disc, among other things. If the developers could just fix that bug, the experience would be much better. Only reason this isn't a 5 star review, though. A really cool and helpful app.

I really like the website, I use it a lot. But the app just leaves so much to be desired. It's slow and doesn't work half the time, the interface is clunky and annoying to work around(the atrocious exiting of the app after pressing back on your phone) you exit the app and its choppy. It's just a mess, I'd rather use the website in the browser most times. I would definitely consider coming back if they fixed even a FEW of these problems, but until them I'm going to have to pass.

When it works it is great. It keeps stopping and exiting me out of it. Also when you are creating a new mixer if it exits you from the app all your progress is deleted. So annoying. Also it takes forever to load. Edit: I can't use it for more the 10 minutes. It just keeps exiting me out. I tried all the "tips" and none of them work! This is so frustrating. If it keeps happening I will UninstallThis needs to change. Sometimes it won't let me into the app.

I listened to this music on the website from the PC and everything was alright. Then I tried from the smartphone and they say "you have to get the app!". Ok, I love the website, I install the app...Horrible! The first time the playlist lasted as long as I wanted, but the next day 5 minutes and the sound cuts off, so I have to reset it again and again. I tried tu uninstall it and install it back, but nothing changes. Very frustrating. It's a shame because the idea is strong.

I'm seeing a lot of the same here, but I've made and lost so many mixes despite saving CONSTANTLY and doing everything right. Things disappear, you can't search for sounds, you just have to memorize where they are, which is a nightmare to dig through, and the app hasn't been updated in what looks to be over a year! It breaks my heart because like a lot of other users, I would settle for "Barely fixed" but the app is so hard to use and navigate it's actually a huge waste of time. I'll keep trying

Good, but could be better. I am disappointed at the streaming speed. Even with a great connection, there are still gaps between the loops where everything stops, breaking the atmosphere it's created. I understand the benefits of premium however I don't think they justify a subscription. For the size of the database available to create your own mixes it's not worth it. I would be happy to pay a one off fee and have the entire app for offline use downloaded on my phone. £7.99, all in and I'm sold!

I love the mixer on desktop, but the app is not up to the same standard. Updating my review: I am experiencing fewer crashes, so I'm updating my review from 2 stars to 3. However, there is a glaring navigation issue. If you hit the < arrow on an Android phone, it should return you to the previous screen, *not* exit out of the app. I cannot count how many times I've accidentally closed the app and my mix and frantically opened it back up to find the right mix again before my players notice.

I've just started using this app and the website, and I'm already in love. It's just what I was looking for when I run my tabletop RPGs. I didn't want full music for that, just ambient sounds, and this is perfect. I can change the volume of each individual clip as well as the looping effect on the clips. My only complaint about the app is that I have a habit of hitting the back button to return to previous screens. Instead of returning you to the previous screen though, it completely closes the app. Which is annoying when you were in the middle of a search. Maybe if you can update this so that the back button goes to the previous screen, or even at the very least so it warns you that you're about to exit so that you can cancel instead. That would be very helpful.

The sound quality dramatically deteriorates (static, breaking up) after just 2 or 3 minutes of continuous play unless the app is the front-facing, live app on the phone's screen. In other words, I can't use my phone for anything else while using this app. Very disappointing because I love all the variety of dynamic sound environments available to enjoy. PLEASE fix this.

I love the idea, and there isn't much else out there that gives me the same customization as this app, but it really needs fixed and updated. I can no longer save my own mixes so I can't keep anything new unless I remake it every time. There's still fairly request issues with crashing as well. It really just needs a bit of love and attention and it could be great!

Such a great app in so many ways, but the sound stops and becomes this static sound after a few minutes (High Quality sound is on). I bought the premium account for the night timer, but so far it's been a waste of money because I can't get far enough for my sleep timer to even kick in. If they fix it before the month is up, I'll renew. If not, I'll be cancelling my subscription and uninstalling.

Oh man. I LOVE this app. Well I WANT to love it. It's just so unstable. Crashes when you press back. Crashes when loading. Crashes when browsing sounds. Soundscapes are sometimes saved to your library but not uploaded or vice versa or just completely gone. If everything MOSTLY worked it'd be 5 stars. As is I'm gifting 2 stars for the potential. I really hope you work out the kinks. I want to use it alot but just too frustrating right now.

This app is so great but recently it stops playing a few minutes after starting. I have the high quality sound turned on in Ambient's settings and I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I'm not sure what else to do. It really is such an awesome app otherwise. It gets me through noisy days at the office and helps me stay relaxed.

My biggest problem with this app right now is that when you press the "back" arrow at the bottom of the screen, it closes the app completely! I thought it only minimises it, but it loads from the start and resets everything when I run it again. It's very counterintuitive, because the arrow should go back to the previous menu, or at the very least do nothing.

I mean the app could use some more coding for navigation and stuff (back button shouldn't close the app) but other than that it does what it's made to do! It plays in the background and with the screen off, you can control it from the notification, and you can still modify or change sounds in mixes. I found my list of liked mixes there, after I logged in. I hope you'll work some more on the app! But it's useable.

It's a great concept, and I like using it. But the app interface still needs work. Pressing the back button closes the app instead of returning to the main screen. And it seems to stop playing about a minute or so after I shut off my screen. Otherwise, I love it, and the premium for offline is quite affordable

I had the trial one and loved it. The sleep timer worked great and everything. The trial one quite working so I got the main and it is less user friendly plus I had to pay to use the sleep timer. Well the timer doesn't even work. It plays for maybe 5 minutes of the 2 hours I set it for then I goes quiet, occasionally letting one sound go every minute. I wish I still had the trial or the timer could at least work on the main, especially since its a feature that's paid for.

I wish I could rate this app higher, I really do! I used to love the app, but it just has too many issues that aren't being addressed. I once emailed support about an issue and it was fixed relatively quickly. Now it seems everyone gets the same "we'll let the devs know" response and nothing gets fixed. It hasn't had an update in like 2 years. I still love the website, but I need a working mobile app more. I will revisit this review if the many bugs and issues are ever fixed.
