AmbitSync
Ever think about viewing your workout result using some popular sport tracking sites when you just finish somewhere without your PC?
AmbitSync is an app to download sport logs (or "moves") from Suunto Ambit GPS watch and convert them to GPX file right on your Android device through the Ambit charging USB cable. No interaction with Movescount website is needed. It also supports Strava upload.
You will only need the Ambit USB cable and an OTG cable (type-C or micro-B to Type-A receptacle cable), connect your watch with the Ambit USB cable through the OTG cable to your Android device's USB port. Your device should support USB host mode or this won't work at all.
The app uses the excellent libambit (from openambit project) and through your device's USB host controller to download "Moves" from your watch. It then converts to GPX format files and save to your Android device's storage, which can later be mapped/analyzed by other sports apps or related services.
Note that this app requires network permission just for Strava upload. You may choose not to upload to Strava. The app does not communicate with Movescount at all.
Disclaimer: Although this app does "read-only" access from your Ambit watch, it does not guarantee 100% safe and functional. Also it is not proven to work on any Android devices + Ambit watch combinations.

Well, it's working perfectly now, and I can only recommend this app for offline syncing of Suunto moves. Even for 10+ hour moves. BTW I'm using Galaxy S8+ (Android 7.0), Ambit 3 Peak and original Samsung OTG adapter which came with my phone. Dev is very responsive and keen on helping to get things working. "OLD COMMENT: Moves sync works OK, but export to gpx isn't. All gpx files are 691 B in size, so something clearly isn't working as it should. Any ideas dev?"
PLEASE PLEASE Add a bluetooth option and then would be perfect
