Great app that lets me do practice questions on the go. Some features don't work like looking at the lab values chart just gives and error. But besides that I haven't had too many issues.
I would like to have an option to adjust the text color, default gray text color on a white background is poorly visible in my opinion.
Fantastic resource. No need to carry any book. All in one resource.
the 2* rating is only for the app, not AMBOSS itself. it is crazy to not give the ability to create new question sets internally though the app. Uworld allows you to do that simply and sync between devices. this is a glaring oversight that should be fixed to make this a competitive company. The mobile configuration of the website makes it tedious to navigate on the phone and med students don't always have their laptops.
Love the app, amazing explanations and tips and flowcharts. However the lab values are not opening up recently, please fix this ASAP.
A must have for medical school studying and board prep. I love having a Q bank ready to go while I'm in clinic or out on the wards to take advantage of the little breaks.
This is a great App to the Website, its actually one of the best apps I've ever used for Medicine..... Kindly also help make the Lab Values work for the app as well,
The content is nice but the letters are dull and grayish and so is the background too. The ios version has a good contrast between letters and the background making it easier to read. Also i want options to rename the tests i take even even i am doing the tests. Please do this. Its very hard to make test also when i only want step 1 subjects in specific areas but instead choosing subject gives me all questions from all the steps
AMBOSS qbank is actually on par with UWORLD in terms of quality of questions. However, as stated in many other reviews, the app needs a lot of help. First and foremost, I think they should have highlighting be an option. This app is practically unusable because there's no way to highlight and you can't answer a long-ass question stem without highlighting. Edit: that's not true, you can't highlight question stems even on browser mobile app!
Working questions on your phone is pretty straightforward with this app. The app would be better if: 1. The highlight function worked 2. You could see sessions you have in progress on your desktop from the app (you can't see them until they're complete right now) 3. Clicked links directed you to the material for review in the knowledge app. Using your internet browser resolves these issues, which defeats the purpose of an app. Not a rip on Amboss itself, which is great, but thea pps are meh.
Overall, 4*. Great study tool, app is simplistic and intuitive. But I'm looking forward to the in-app 'Start a new session' option. Also, the percentage of user that had chosen the particular answer could be visible within the answer line (like in a desktop version).
I can't pay it doesn't support Google Pay so u can't pay please get in app purchase working with Apple pay or Google pay saves us the trouble. I actually really like the app, I tried the trial version (which had full access BTW) both the questions and the knowledge part is excellent I can easily recogmend this program to my fellow peers. So please fix this issue so more people can have access
The app is great. But sometimes when click on the links on a question, it just goes blank and doesn't redirects me to the library... but the rest, I love the explanations and specially the charts and the videos ! Thanks!
What an exceptional Qbank! One of the best! Type of questions they have with long history, explanations for each of the options of every questions, images of the highest quality and details of every single component of the image, study plans they give, various correlations if various topics that they explain, analysis they give and much more is excellent! One the best app for USMLE, and Even NEET PG and other exams.
I am not able to creat new session smoothly. Each time I attempt to do it, it shows a blank screen and then when you keep clicking on blank screen, then the logo of amboss shows up with no new session creation. Help!
Exceptional. It's hard to find a resource that compares, I wish all medical students could have access to this. I can't wait to see how it grows and improves over time. Definitely want to have it with me throughout my medical school journey and maybe even beyond!
Excellent program! The library is very comprehensive and the question explanations are thorough. Definitely a good resource for learning and applying shelf material. I would not use this as the only resource to prepare for exams in medical school, but I think that it is a vital resource that everyone should use.
Q bank is really good and the integration with library,anki add on, chalk talk, everything is really helpful and amazing for the preparation.App can get better,there is lots of scope for improvement in the app though n hopefully it will get better with updates. Edit: Now using it for step 2 and again enjoying the experience.It was really helpful in boosting my scores in step 1.
really wonderful app. the quick define feature is really good. you can just hover over a term and it will give you a definition. it saves time instead of searching for the term and its related information
I've started using it now, in the later part of my Step 2 prep. Wish I had used it sooner, and probably for Step 1 as well. Provides good quality content, presented on efficient platform. You can do pretty much all your learning on a single platform without needing to google or waste time elsewhere and then find yourself with poor quality information, or something far beyond exam level. Regarding the app, both here and on apple store, I would really appreciate having a dark mode.
Best clinical questions. Awesome formatting and in depth explaination of every options. Also love the fact that you can create qbanks based on your preference and select multiple difficulty levels. Highly recommended.
Phenomenal step 2 preparation app, really wish I had it for step 1... Superior to first aid, firecracker, and usmle rx in terms of quality and depth of content, plus seamless integration with its extensive question bank. Perfect for initial learning, but slightly less ideal for final high yield review (however does have a high yield mode I've yet to explore). Quality of questions is 1b, to the 1a of Uworld. Additionally useful as a point of care resource for treatment and management.
Losing my eyesight, no Dark Mode. It's 2020 but this app belongs to 2010. Doesn't allow you to download all the images and limits you and forces you to connect to internet even though you have 90 days "offline" use. If you want 5 stars: 1. Dark Mode and and font adjust right from where you are going through your questions. 2. True unlimited offline usage. 3. Allow more than 1000 questions to be selected. I select by basic sciences subject and pathology is over 1500.
Very good questions but you guys need to work on the entire interface. I'm trying to switch to you guys for Step 2 CK from UWorld for Step 1 but honestly the interface is less than ideal, especially on mobile. Why do I have to reselect Step 2CK as my exam every time I want to start a new session? What is my performance compared to others? No percentile positions? I don't even understand what the graphs in the analysis section mean. And why can't I view analyses from the app? Come on guys!
I absolutely love amboss. Have been using it since quite a few months. Used it with a the generous scholarship they offered me. With time I found it so useful I finally got a subscription ! Cannot find a more wholistic and better resource.
Mobile qbank interface still in beta, but I love the app and program - it's way more affordable than UWorld and, imo, better, given its extensive library (think UpToDate but for medical student level knowledge, geared at tests) and its good integration with the qbank. Hugely helpful for Step 1 & 2!
Somewhat different focus than UWolrd - more on management than diagnosis and pathophysiology, and that makes the questions more difficult. Great to use for practice, and the click through options for the knowledge app are excellent.
With recent updates this app has become borderline unusable. Constant interface issues and bugs. Making my studies difficult. Otherwise fantastic content.
Really helpful to have practice Qs with great UI and functionality on the go! I am a 3rd year medical student and use this app to answer practice Qs while I have downtime during my clinical rotations.
