Amcrest Smart Home

Works pretty good, my main problem is with the AD410 doorbell. When someone rings the doorbell, I get a notification, but when I click it, it opens the "incoming call" screen, where I can answer or hangup only for a second, then switches back to the camera page or recorded clips page and I have no way on answering the doorbell. I then have to manually open the camera, turn on talk and listen and then I can communicate, which takes a long time and the person at the door usually leaves.

Recent changes are causing lots of problems. The app was working fine. I was able to get notifications for a few cameras and I was able to view them remotely when I wanted. It was working fine. Then I bought a few more cameras and I went to connect them and they won't connect. No matter what I try or how many times I try, am update with the app is keeping me from being able to connect to new doorbell and wifi cameras. Very disappointing because otherwise this is a great system.

Only detect and record for human detection was the main selling point of purchasing this security camera that goes along with this software and it is horribly inaccurate! As a security camera, the video review software is OK, but far from perfected. Lastly, the security camera movement can be troublesome and delayed, but to be fair that could be my less than perfect signal but still feel it should be more responsive regardless.

Had to knock a star off due to frequent long delays in notifications. If this is a cloud issue it ain't my connection which is very fast. Would also be nice to be able to change the length of time the existing doorbell rings. A bit short at the moment. Otherwise excellent.

All my Amcrest cams no longer autoconnect to my network. Every week when that router reboots itself (scheduled) I have to go around power cycling the cams to get them back online. MP4 exports still aren't compatible w/my S20+ on Android 12 after months of updates. Worked fine on Android 11. 2 years later & all my cams still default to SD. I have to choose HD every single time I view them, & most of my cloud captures are SD no matter what I do. Pretty annoying after all this time. #AboutDone

Excellent app. Would be nice to download recordings while viewing the camera remote, I get a msg. that in order to download I must be in the same network as the camera. This means that I have to wait until I'm home in order to do that, this means that it I'm overseas for 2 years then would have to wait till then which is not p preferable. Otherwise, this camera and application is a very nice tool to add to your security arsenal. Be blessed.

The IP address of the camera changed due to lease expired. App was hard coded to old IP address. Since I didn't feel like going through the setup again I forced the dhcp server to give camera the old IP address. App now working. Seems App should be able recognize changes like that. All in all decent Camera.

Device is not so useless Now, I do have managed to get it working, (after an email reply) explaining I had to minimize my fount to use the app settings- for me, COMMUNICATION is DIFFICULT. I am 66 this is NOT easy for me all online having or to wait for reply, (I dont "text talk" so the "self Help/ question answer doesn't work for me, I dont read well on small screens SO I am GROPING my way through the app figuring it out as I go. still trying to figure out why the audio p,b, is so distorted ? Found the settings in 'VIDEO' did the up & down sliders, still really difficult to understand Voice clearly or sounds. I do Precate the effort from Amcres C..S. But having to wait for reply and or the 888 # didnt really help, he couldn't figure out what I need to do in the first issue, referring me a website for assistance -

All and all it's a pretty good app, considering it's came with a camera that was under $40. No adds, which is definitely a plus and it's generally pretty stable. Just do not try to log in with the same account on 2 different devices at the same time. The device sharing works well. Would give 5 stars it had option to sync with Google home/assistant. Only able to sync with Amazon Alexa.

starting to have a lot of problems with the app. I still get notifications when motion is detected, but when I tap the pop-up, the app crashes. On top of that, when I open the app and go into events to see what was caught on camera, nothing shows up. The events tab is completely empty, even though I got the notification and the pop up. Hoping for a patch soon, because this is a big security issue for me. Thanks.

As someone else noted, the new update broke the events list. Whenever you get a notification, you now have to go to life feed and then select cloud or SD card to view previous recordings. The event log is blank. Also keep getting an error that the app has a known bug and need to wait for the developer to fix it. Kind of a bummer when you are trying to check in when you are away.

Very unreliable. At first I thought it was due to poor wifi signal but I have the doorbell pulled into my Amcrest NVR, and can view it on the Amcrest View Pro app instantly. When I try to load it in this app it takes up to 10 seconds or never loads, I have to keep trying. because of this delay im unable to view or talk to someone at the door which defeats the purpose. Notifications however are instant, you just can't connect reliably with this app.. please make this app more reliable!!

I like being able to review the HD recordings with no lag and switching to live view. I have not yet figured out where the files are stored when I download them for sharing. Only real negative is having to sign on everytime to view the cameras when you get an alert. Overall, it functions fine.

New update broke ability to view detected events from sd card. Not receiving event notifications anymore although i can see them in the list too u can't actually view the event. On another note live viewing is loading way faster. *** Fixed it, had to format sd card on the last 3 app updates. Why does the speaker have to scream "now connected to wifi network" that's really annoying i don't find it necessary for the neighborhood to know when my doorbell cam connects to my wifi network.

Simple to set up, I love that I can adjust the cameras remotely, and that I can set it to record only motion but cat also get a love view when I want to! Very user friendly app!

Simply awesome. Fun, intuitive, easy to navigate hen setup. Very good audio, one of the best I've used and continue to use! ^_^

Last update seems to have sped up loading times on my cameras and I like that I can see the bitrate now. Would be nice if the preview images were more consistent and also larger in the notification pulldown.

Using this with Amcrest AD110 Doorbell. Was running OK when first installed in January 2022, but for a few days now I lose Live View from time to time, and sometimes SD card recordings won't play back. All returns to normal on reboot but very tiresome. Have tried complete reinstall of device and app but problem persists.

Illogical recording setup (daily) ruins the otherwise a new good camera testing. Try record to scram, say, starting 10pm till 5:30am. Fail. Poor design for a 24 hour world. Once you try and fail the setup you have to just crash the app to get out.

It was working great for a few weeks. Now my notifications stopped completely. My wifes arrive, but several hours later. Not sure what to do or how to fix.

It was good at first and did what it supposed to. Now every notification I click on breaks the app. When I receive a notification, clicking brings up fingerprint unlock, then it just goes to my phones home screen. This app also disappeared from the app store for a while. They really have to fix this.

Ok, so I found an annoying bug. When the doorbell is pressed my phone rings but will not shut off. I have to restart my phone to turn it off. Very annoying

We have a doorbell cam and 2 other smart home cams and they all seem to work fine. Ok load times and nice to have them integrated into one app. Wish I could add other Amcrest cams that are not "smart home."

Doesnt work properly. Saved Settings dissapear on their own. Tech team doesn't help nor it appears they know what they are doing.

This app has stopped working. Live view never works. SD card playback won't play. Waste of time and money.

App keeps crashing or can't find the camera. What a waste of money and time, and somehow it's highly rated..

As soon as you go to your event list to check out one event, the rest all just disappeared. Most ridiculous thing I've seen and you can't go back to find anything

Broke notifications in the latest app update, can't open app from notification and events are empty when trying to view directory from app. Only way to see video is to go in to storage. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a smart doorbell if the app doesn't work.

Why have multi view if you have to set it up every time you want to use it? Go through all the trouble to set up 4 cameras and then you exit out of the app and go back in and it needs to be set up again. Also no more events list. Getting worse.

Version 3.12.0 fixed the event, but there is still no sound (just vibrates) for notifications. You still need to fix that. Very important to have sound like it was before version 3.11.1 took it away.
