Terrible app. Stuck using American funds for my 401K through my current company which man's stick with their app. This app constantly crashes, freezes up, the links don't work, the biometrics don't work, and it doesn't have dark mode. I have had problems with it on my Galaxy S8, S9 and S10+. Save yourself the hassle and just use the website.
Absolutely garbage app. I don't mind using my desktop but this is a waste of time and space. After waiting I realize this app is even more useless. Not sure why they bother having an app as you literally can do nothing with it other than choose your own investments. You can't even see your balance! I'm glad the programmers are fleecing this company, but makes me feel a lot less confident about who is overseeing my retirement.
The app is ok sometimes, depending on what you click on, but if you scroll down to the bottom the app just freezes and closes up every single time. Very frustrating.
The app crashes every chance it gets. I would be log in for not even 10 seconds and the app will crash. This is after deleting and reinstalling the app it happens everytime.
The app is junk. If it opens, it opens for a out 30 seconds before crashing. And they make you use this junk! If a company can't bother with a functional app, what makes you think they'll bother working your money for you?
App constantly crashes. Usually can't stay open longer than 20 seconds. Not all things on their website are accessible/available on the app. Pages tend to not load correctly.
This app will shutdown everytime it is scrolled to the bottom of the overview page..... There are several other annoying issues like not being able to rebalance your account from the app... The income estimator works about 50 pct of the time. All and all the website is much better
App use to work fine. Now crashes frequently, and locks up on certain pages. Lack of website on mobile makes it difficult to access features.
I don't know if this is just a server issue but the app is completely unusable. It shows the little progress animation but never loads the data on my Android device. Occasionally, it will load a couple of data items but never all of them. The app has no app support of feedback mechanism. They don't seem interested in feedback. Guess that explains why the problem persists. I emailed the address on Google Play, but there is no indication anyone read it. Absolute waste of time!
The app used to be fantastic and was easy to check in especially when you enable a biometrics. Would do it daily. However recently it's become very problematic and says my login information has changed and I cannot login. It works online on my computer but the app is horrible right now. I've tried reinstalling it two times and I am still experiencing the same issues!
Application stops or crash or close automatically. I have Samsung Galaxy FE 21 5G phone and it was recently upgraded to OS Android 12. After update to OS Android 12, this application crashes and closes automatically
This app crashes when you scroll to the bottom of the landing page. Used to work, absolute garbage now.
If I'm at the bottom of a page and continue to try to scroll down (to see if there's more) the app force closes and logs me out. Works fine otherwise.

Decided I would try it and see if I had the same issues everyone else is having. Entered all the correct information and it says it's going to lock me out of my account. Guess I'll stick with the website login.
I put in my SS#, last name, zip and birth date and it says it doesn't recognize me. I'm pretty sure I nailed those questions, but the app thinks differently.
This app doesn't work I have tried logging in with the exact same username and password I use for the website and it wont let me in.
Update! (12/15/2021) The desktop web page works fine. The app is a joke. The app says my user name and password are wrong, but they work fine in the web browser. Then it says if I try 1 more time, my account will be locked. Trash app, which pretty much matches the performance of my funds lately. Time to start looking for another financial company to deal with. Stop focusing on the app, and pay attention how poorly your investment funds are performing.
Recent updates have made the app far more user friendly on a mobile device. As of today (12/14/2020), I am easily able to read all tabs and access my account, including making portfolio changes. This is a vast improvement on the app's previous functionality, which was limited on my mobile device. The app is now convenient, clean, and simple to use.
Very poor. Tried to access my account and was told more info was needed to find my account. After entering personal info it still said no account match. Hopefully, my information hasn't been compromised! Very disappointing!
The app is great when you can log in. I check it at least once a day, but for three days now I am not able to log in. It says my password has recently changed, but I'm able to log in on the computer (what a pain). This has happened before but I don't recall it going on this long. Please fix!
The app is completely unusable. Even though I have a user name and password, I don't have a pin so I can't even log in. Then I try to register with all my information and it doesn't recognize it. I dont understand the point of the app if it is impossible to log in.
Login not working. I have the fingerprint scanner activated, which had been working fine, but now asks for my username and password. It's not accepting those, despite entering them correctly.
Does not fit to screen, and no way to rotate or resize. BONUS!!! As of the last update, the app us unusable! It hangs on the login screen no matter what you do! Talk about set it and forget it!!!
Was curious about if AF had an app. Surprised by the negative reviews and lack of reviews. I gave it a whirl and it's a functional and be fairly easy to use. Wish I could paste my password in on initial logon from password manager but after logging in and setting up fingerprint it doesn't matter. 10/10 would recommend
Can't login no uninstalling and reinstalling don't help.no password and log in are right.the app is a waste of time and the problem is not the information that we enter it's that you are forcing people to use a app that is full of issues. Still one star.nothing has been done to fix issues..
Have been horrible lately. Can't use biometric to login lately and login page is problematic lately. Can't download quarterly statements. You can only look at the amount if you are able to login at all.
I cannot login and my credentials are correct. So of I go through the process of telling the app a lot of PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION in their login help form, it says it can't help me. One wonders WHERE this information is spoiled off to and makes me think it's not even legitimate at this point. For security reasons, shouldn't this dubious process be flagged? I'd give it negative stars if I could.
I can't view details of my loan through the app. I hit the link, and the app freezes up. I then have to force close the app, in order to return to the main menu.
