American Military News

Decent articles not found on other news sources. App itself is just OK. As you scroll it pauses to load additional stories (not a problem in itself). But after opening 1 or 2 stories, the app jumps back to the top of the list and you have to take a lot of time scrolling back down to where you left off (with all the loading pauses again). I usually just exit the app because I find it tedious.

The app people are definitely improving the way it works. Some of the transitions to articles default to ads. But the reports themselves are much more straightforward than feeds from AP, USA Today, Reuters, or the New York Times - slanted toward military, maybe, but far less bias involved. Since my first post, transitions are better. A more balanced, better-written news summary of world events than most major media.

I went to see an article , but only got a page of ads. When I tried to exit the page of ads , I got another ad for the History channel which instead of taking me to the article , goes to Google Play. That is the home of the uninstall button and it was the only thing that worked as expected. I prefer not to have to jump around the web just to read an article.

What a piece of garbage! You click on an article headline and the article above it or below it comes up or you click on a headline and the picture from the article comes up and no text comes up, but the ads sure as heck work just fine. I got news for you, you have not worked out all the bugs. Considering the last update date you need to do it again!

like most have said, lacks any real bias, just tells what's going on without blame. ads are a little bit distracting but for news like this I'll deal with it. lots of interesting military articles and a little non-military but just as interesting. keep it up guys!

Used to be fantastic. Now it's pretty bad. Waaayyyyy too many advertisements. It's completely saturated with garbage. I guess that's more the now American way. Plus it's so buggy now. You click an article and it hits a different one. I don't want to play a guessing game to choose the right one.

Need to add that this app seems to ALWAYS have the story before any others and I check a lot of news sites. Sometimes it's only 30 before the others, but it's out there first. I love this app. It reports on things other media may not cover. Right now it's really important to stay informed and get news from multiple outlets.

It's nice to have a News source which covers the issues on our most valued assets, our military service members. Their heroic efforts, notification when one dies so that we can remember them and their family during a loss and other military related news (whether good, bad or indifferent), which directly relates to the military, needs to be shared. This is real and important news!

love this app, very interesting stories, no clear bias to any party, information is fast. i feel first to know before my peers. only draw back is the ads. sometimes i cant read a stories because im stuck on a ad page.

Horrendous ads, all the same about bed bugs showing yucky gross photos, after each story listed, it's constant, can't take it, looking away doesn't help much there's always another one,

Really like the reporting--journalism isn't quite dead--but the ads are very, very distracting and irritating. I often have to search hard to find the story I wanted to read.

At the moment, I simply can not rate this with even One Star, but I'm forced to give it one star, which it doesn't deserve. To publish my remarks I HAVE to give it one star. It does NOT operate correctly or properly. Every time you exit an article, it dumps you right back at the very beginning of the program. It currently takes an entire day, just to read the current posted articles. Thats NOT right.

Good source of news and information without the excessive editorializing running rampant with other sources, minimally intrusive (and alerts can be adjusted to taste) and easy to navigate. Advertising unobtrusive. 👏👍

Overall, the news seems fairly factual and mostly unbiased reporting; although any and all media sites have some degree of biased input... be it 1% or as much as 100% biased as it tends to be with what I'd consider far far left where one is so indoctrinated to a particular belief or platform, the difference between TRUTH and LIES does not EXSIST to any degree. I try to be fair no matter how difficult it is to see all sides of any reporting of political news or world issues. Thank you.

This app has not been updated since 2018. I tried to open it today, and got blank screen and a blank menu. Unable to open the website either, server not found. What happened?

It's good to know what is really going on in the news,pertaining to our country(America),and the world around us. Without having to deal with bias, and having someone's agendas, shoved down my throat. Great news app! Thanks

Have to open and close the app multiple times to get stories to load takes like 10 min to read 1 article, the pop up adds also force the articles to not load 3 stars only because the articles are good but mostly a waste of time to read anything.

Too many ads on app . you go to a notification and immediatly get an ad. Stories are good but when you are trying to read an article and get nothing but an ad its frustrating.

love this app. been using it over 3 years at least maybe more. always has up to date news right after it happens and has several categories to choose from so you receive what you want such as diff. branches of the military

This is a great app. Seems that nearly every notification I get in interested in. I thought this an impossible task for a news app. Bravo! Job well done. Don't change a thing.

I can't wait for more AMN to come down the pipeline to us. In these trying times we need the best most pure undoctored reporting as possible. Without that? Well, our countrymen, soldiers etc would be at a distinct disadvantage. Thank you for all you do American Military News!!!

Site has good information you do not get from other news sources. I dont care for the constant repetitive ads that occur between stories, just pop the ad once.

Very informative, non biased news about the military and current events. The app is easy to use, yet has a lot of ads. Overall great.

App has MANY ads that you must wade through to reach the articles. Many of the ads are inappropriate for young viewers. When you dig an article out of the ads, they are pretty informative.

Ok, 1st, good part: articles informative and interesting. Then, 2nd, poor part: "Political adds?" every other article that only annoy the rearder, slow down the news articles, especially repeating every other article. GET OVER Hitlery AND Trump🚽 Finally, 3rd, "benesugg": I would really appreciate a more professionally conducted app.

Great app with well written stories, would love to give it all 5 stars but I cant. I understand they need to make money by having ads, but I am tired of trying to read an article in peace only to have that peace destroyed by the screeching of an ad for some knockoff candy crush. If they only accepted ads that were silent it would be 5/5.

I want to like this app but everytime I click the notification it never goes to that subject. I have to click back many times and than down the list hoping I find it.

My experiene with this app has been positive. News is current - a big plus! I also appreciate the photos, as reading alone can be dull at times.

Many news stories that are not always given priority by other news offerings! Well designed and easy to look through the available articles.
