The keyboard was great and multi lingual. But since the last update the ads become annoying. ads are appearing while you type. The ad stops you from typing and you have to wait till the ad finishes. That means you need to wait 5 to 10 seconds watching the ad as your phone is not yours. Someone is playing ads for you from inside. That's very much annoying. That's why I uninstall it finally. I'm afraid everybody will uninstall it soon.
One of a great & intensive app I had used so far. It gives options for different inputs via latin alphabets to produce Geez, Diffrent format of geez alphabets, Geez punctuation &numerals. It is a complet keyboard I hesitantly gave it 4 starts because: 1. I didn't like it to have 2 separate apps. They should be integrated on one appk. 2. The Fonts which appear on the screen is only the default despite you change to others. I may Give 4.5 stars.
Its a fine app. However, the spell check is extremely poor. Both Amharic/English data base don't have even basic words to allow auto type.The most important feature when creating an app Is missing or very weak. It also adds/ predicts unwanted sentences and you can't get rid of it. So, manually you have to delete the auto verbiage dictated by the app. Wasting too much valuable time. Finally, will give you credit for zero to minimal Ad. Will revise rating when I see improvements.
It's a great app and also simple to use... But there is this 2 phenomenal features that I recommend you to add them to the app 1) writing Amharic words with English alphabet and to use it just add a button to enable this feature or a switch like icon on the top of the keyboard bar. 2) gifs & stickers this two are the best features that should be added so that we can use the keyboard In a fun way 3)fonts or fancy texts Add this 3 and this will be one of the best keyboard app that is ever used.
This keyboard used to be the best for Ethiopians. Since last update, the keyboard without my permission puts ads on full screen. even me without using the keyboard it pops up fullscreen ads. ads while using is acceptable this one nooooooo. I've seen comments others put and the developer is not willing to change it. I hate the comment & the full screen ads and I will uninstall it. the app developer has the right to keep ads & I've the right to uninstall. thanks alternatives...😁
It is a great keyboard with upcoming new features. I liked it and I am using it. The only 3 issues I saw and agree on many other comments are: -we are not cabable of using subscripts like like in"H2O", -prediction should be more customized to be based on what we usually type. -and finally prediction feature does not work at all on browsers and google engine search bar. Other wise it a great app and i promote all Ethiopians with smart phones to download it.
My first ever comment, no doubt the best amharic keyboard so far for free. I know you have to be supported. But I hate the fullscreen pop up ads. Please at least make the ads at the edge of the keyboard not to interrupt in the middle while writing. One more thing to do: i think still some more work has to be done on word prediction. Thank you for the effort you are making and making this available for totally free.
I found this app very useful and helpful especially in android phones. But what I do hate is, the app icon or logo. Personally, I don't like it. I always change it to my preference using third-party application which you may don't like it for sure. 👍
This is the best app I have even used because, 1. It has all letters, numbers, symbols and basic abbreviations in Ge`ez writing style as well as in English, which is fantastic. 2. The most important thing I should appreciate is in both languages, Amharic and English, it gives you many word choices. 3. When I misspell it notifies me by underlining. Thank you. Keep Up With it please .
As mostly user of amharic keyboard its great to have such nice app. However the app contains a lot of themes which I believe unnecessary & junk while few of them are good enough. Even I wonder why this ❤ sign is their just before & ኢትዮጵያ right after the app's name? Looks childish & makes it the app more than 34mb in storage capacity which means 20x & more with similar apps. The developer should focus on functionality & simplicity, otherwise no need to add everything only because of he CAN add.
It's a great app! Has best features, and the ads are good, we need to show support to the developer, since we dont pay him for his work. His spends a lot of hour just to improve this app! No one tests his app and report bugs. So please, show support to him!
The app has a suspicious activity. The Foreground and Background data usage is very high compared to similar apps. It raises lots of questions!!! I advise anyone to lookout for these kinds of behaviors on their phone.
some apps callect datas. like contacts, photos and loactions. but this app even if its a good app it goes way beyond other apps..... callect credit card details! this is not right at all.
I have been enjoying the experience i had on this virtual keboard that only utilizes device, now the bluetooth keyboard has come for devices and i had a hard time using the bluetooth keykoard. Would you consider this condition for your update?
I appreciate your work, but I am a bit confused that you mentioned in the app and a number of comment responses that this app wont take personal details. But when I try to install it, the pop up message warms the app may take the types, personal data including card info. Is this not self contradictory? Thx.
Great app, thank you! You work so hard to develop such a useful app! I think you couldn't charge for subscription because their is no online payment in Ethiopia and many of this app users live in Ethiopia, people can use the app, and you will earn some money from the ads, so I won't complain about the ads.
Nice keyboard app, You need to improve on number layout, emojis and the size of keypads are small. Most importantly suggestion dont work on search bars. I hope you will fix it in the next update.
This App is the best app ever I had, especially for Android because I am using it. I have great appreciation for the developer yohanns. Plus, the prediction of the word. The them....I can't express my gratitude . The App dose not collect private information and file. እግዚአብሔር የእውቀት ጥግን ይስጥልኝ ።
I don't really understand why it needs permission to collect data including passwords and credit card information when you try to activate it whereas the app owners ate saying they don't collect any personal data🤔
This app is really good, it is the choice of most Ethiopians. But it needs improvment. You have to add more suggestion and modify those emoji to all versions. But for future this keyboaed will be AMAZING
good app but You should add one feature that enables you to type (amarigna englizgna) to (አማርኛ)...it would be easy

I have a comment on the english mode of the keyboard. After the update i should change the caps key to capital letter first before i start to type. I think it should always be on CAPS when you start typing, as it was before the update.
It is really great app, you can use both english and amharic keyboard at the same time,and the optional themes are great.It helped me alot.
A wonderful tool to have. It has perfect functionalty, beautiful themes, dictionary, and yet free! I appreciate the developer.
Very nice. Please include word prediction feature too. Since most people use common set of words while typing. Example: If I type SEE YOU there should be predicted words i’ve used previously like TOMORROW. Also words like IVE should automatically be I've. Again very nice keyboard.
This is by far the best Ethiopian keyboard I have used. Great that you included a setting for Amharic output using English; it is easier than fishing out amharic alphabets. Only thing missing, Geez numbers. Please include that in the next update.
I've been using this app than any other Amharic and Tigrigna Keyboards.The name of the Keyboard has better to change its name to Amharic,Tigrigna and Geez keyboards depending on the number of users.Users of this app are not the Amharic users rather Tigrigna and Amharic users.People who need to download Tigrigna Keyboards will never jump this app with out downloading.I have never used any key boards since 2010 for more than eleven years. Pretty good. But I have a few complaints and suggestions. Number one is that, sometimes ads pop up when I'm in the middle of typing something and it's frustrating. I know you need ads to earn revenue but it makes the experience a little uncomfortable. And I also suggest you upgrade your suggestions and autocorrect system. Sometimes I mistype a word and the keyboard is just too rough to correct mistakes. And it wouldn't be bad if you added optional keyboard sounds. Thank you!!
