Amino Acids Quiz

I found this super helpful in preparing for the MCAT! Let me study while I was trying to kill time.

I'm awful at memorizing and figured I was in trouble when I realized a good 75% of basic Biochemistry is memorizing Amino acids, metabolic pathways, enzyme names, etc. This program got me through the amino acids exam with a respectable grade. Little touches to the way the app works really help. For instance, when you get an answer right, it moves on to the next question very quickly. But when you select the wrong answer, it holds there for a few seconds making sure you're able to read it over a few times.

The only thing I would prescribe is to sf structures to other quizzes, like the one letter abbreviations.

It is quick easy to use doesn't look to pretty but serves its purpose

This app is excellent for biochem students. My only suggestion is to better align the professor/answer page.

Perfect. And I am also looking for a way to study various orgo reactions in flash card style (not basics but reagents transition states etc.). Have not found a good one yet ... suggestions? Or a possibility?

Helped me learn the one- and three-letter abbreviations, as well as the structures for all the amino acids in a few hours. Super helpful

This application helped me for my molecular biology class. My professor wanted the class to memorize the 20 amino acids and this app was insurmountably useful.

Along with its sister apps, this app has helped me out in understanding the structures of all the basic compounds necessary for every chemistry and bio chem student. Make more such apps we r waiting

This was a massive use in studying for my biochemistry course. I downloaded this app whilst basically procrastinating, and was surprised just how much it helped!

I used this to review after the 1st semester of biochem, its a huge help.

Excellent for any scholar who is interested in strengthening their skills in biochemistry to gain a deeper understanding for their field of choice. Mine is anthropology. This app is awesome!!! Just for fun! IUP alumni 2007, but I should have graduated in 1996.

If you in bchm, get this.its free and has a ton of quizzy fun!

Great app very helpful I can learn them while on the bus its awesome. The pics of the structures should be bigger or at least able to zoom in

Very nice. Helped me learn AA. Would like to see an option to choose what categories you wish to be tested on in the random quiz (ie all but pKa). Should hydrophilic vs hydrophobic be another item to quiz on?

Good app for studying abbreviations and structure and pka of amino acids

You should make a similar app for biological enzymes and hormones (i.e. name, function, general structure, site of production, site of stimulation, bla bla bla). I'd actually pay some money for those apps.
