It would get 5 stars if it had more sources. The upside is that you can use it regularly to time sales and closeouts and buy cheap and stack deep. Keep in mind that all prices are before shipping; the last order I made was the 4th cheapest case of ammo but free shipping when I spent above a certain amount. It does tell you how expensive shipping is relative to other vendors and whether you're getting brass or steel or aluminum cases. Saves a lot of time when you're looking to buy in bulk. No real savings over your LGS for small purchases. Buy local, buy independent, support small business. But if you're going to go internet, this app is handy as heck.
Excellent resource, always check here first when planning an ammo buy. As others have said, it would be nice to see the shipping cost on the app before jumping to the sites. Also opens a bit slow, but not too inconvenient especially with the savings available.
Prices seem to be very reasonable shipping seems to be completely unreasonable, it will probably prevent me from making a purchase. I can get free shipping on stuff that is much heavier than two magazines for a Browning buckmark which should weigh about a half a pound or maybe 4 oz total. But you guys want almost $17 how to ship that completely unreasonable I would rather pay a slightly higher price and receive free shipping
Works great, use it on desktop and Samsung S5. Author responsive and app keeps getting better. Send author suggestions! 10/19/16 app after update wouldnt open on Samsung S5. Contacted Ammoseek, issue resolved in a few minutes. Awesome! Update:finding more features, building custom searches that are saved, much more powerful app than the others.
Not only the best deals, but the vendors are responsive and attentive. Just because inexpensive doesn't mean low customer service
I love this app. A bar code scanner and ability for individuals to report local prices/search for local prices would be a pretty awesome addition.
Nice app, not all of the deals out there, but a good starting point. Little slow to load, but once open, the searches are quick and handy.
Very useful app for finding great deals. Can be incredibly slow and finicky at times, but updating will hopefully cure that in the future.
Pretty well made app, but the shipping really makes or breaks the deal most of the time. Pretty unsavory design though
Excellent app. I've been using the site for years and just like the site, the app cuts thru the flashy gimmicks, bells and whistles to give you maximum results and therefore maximum savings.
I have been trying to find a good price for ammo for my Smith Wesson 500. Through this app I've saved a lot of money.
Pretty awesome app so far haven't really gotten a chance to check it out but it has helped when I've used it.
Simple, easy UI. Might possibly be a bit overwhelming at first, but incredibly helpful once you get the hang of it. Best when looking for a very specific manufacturer and bullet weight.
Doesn't feel as user friendly as wikiarms. Also wikiarms has some 6.5 Grendel at $0.27 when the cheapest ammo seek can find is $0.57. I just don't really see why I would use this instead of wikiarms which is faster, more user friendly, and has better prices.
Quick searches are available on the go. When you're out and about and you come across an ammo find, you can search if it's actually a deal.
Slow an unreliable. Many times the items are inaccurately priced. Should focus on more up to date info.
Works fairly well in finding deals quickly. Easy to use very few inconsistencies...
I really like the app. For those with navigation buttons on screen, just slide up from the bottom of the screen to make them visible. That's what works on a Pixel 2XL with Android Oreo.
The best price and latest sales are always on, have to make sure that it is not just brass or bullets with some of the sights.
Very good app has saved me hundreds of dollars. You can narrow your searches to specifics down to even the shipping cost. I recommend this app to people all the time.
Use this app frequently but don't care for the advertisement bar at the bottom where my back button is located. I understand there needs to be advertisement pay for the app but it would be better for me to put it at the top.
Computer version is great. This App works well for me, when I'm on the go. Great for price comparison, if you're a shopper for great deals.
Problems and (1) fix: 1. Paid for ad removal, but ads still there. Tried rebooting the phone, then uninstalling and reinstalling - had to reboot phone after second installation and ads are gone. 2. Need to add an EXIT button on the main screen of the app, or modify so app does not hide phone navigation buttons (LG G4 and LG-930 Tablet). I have no way to exit the app quickly, cleanly - now that the ads are gone, I have to hit the hard button on the back of my phone to cut off the screen - then I hit the button again and when the screen comes back up I have access to the phone's navigation buttons. 3. Ammo Seek says my saved searches on my computer will not transfer to my phone - they say they're working on it. 4. No sound on any buttons in app - a little feedback would be nice. I originally gave this app 1 star, but now that I've removed the ads I'm upping it to 3 stars. If they fix the navigation / exit problem on my LG phone & tablet, I'll up it to 4 stars. If they update the app where it will automatically bring up my saved searches on my computer, I'll up it to 5 stars.
