Ampere meter measure most accurately Charging time and Voltage. However it is only good to evaluate that which Charger is most suitable for your device
The current depends on many things:
- Charger (USB/AC/Wireless)

- GPS state
- Phone type
- Current tasks running
- Display brightness
- WiFi state
Ampere Meter works on Android 4.0.3+ devices. Not every device is supported because there are devices which lacks an appropriate measurement chip (or the interface) and they can not be supported at all.

Had this for quite a while & it's not critical so I didn't need much from it & just kept it around. Turns out the "toast" notifications I've been getting lately, in Portuguese for some reason, are thanks to this app. Portuguese is fine, but I don't speak it. Plus it translated as an issue connecting to the internet. Why would it even need to. Oh well, doesn't matter, uninstalling. It worked fine, so better than 1 star, but anonymous Portuguese toast notifications aren't as fun as they sound.
Fails to follow default language (toast notifications) as well as selected language. Bit much with ads although not over the top (as it were). It's fair code as best IMO.
This is one of the very few apps like it that even attempted an approximation of the current, and seems to be the most accurate of those that do give it a try. All the other more mainstream ones refused to even do that, because my phone doesn't have the sensor to measure electrical current. This app is a bit rough on the edges, but golden. Thank you for including the approximation feature, developer.
I have paid to remove ads. but the ads still appears.
Great app. But I've discovered that a lrg number of phones DO NOT have the 'Required' 'Sensor/Chip' so the Volts/Amps shown r just a guess-timate. I'm sure the developers could find a way 2 use a combination of other sensors in our phones 2 get more accurate readings,even if it's not exact, I'm sure dev.s could come up w/more accurate readings, that r a lot closer 2 the true reading! Anyway,Good App! I can't wait 2 see how it'll get better with the next few & future updates!
Liked the app. I have the issue of paying for it but it will not get rid of adds. Uninstalled and reinstalled it. Didn't help. Please fix.
Very helpful app! I have been able to see how much different chargers put out - like the car, PCs at home and work and OEM & after market chargers. Plus I was able to diagnose a bad USB cable. Very simple to use and understand. Excellent specific purpose app, clear layout. Highly recommended.
Great app. I've used it to test cables & blocks to see which are best for charging. Also see optimal settings for best charging while continuing use of device. If they add a "Dark Theme UI" instead of the standard Bright Theme UI, to minimize battery use further (also easier on eyes in dark environments). I would pay for the app. ADD A DARK THEME SO I CAN BUY THIS ALREADY 😎
Does exactly what I needed it to do read my amp charge rate would be five stars but it refreshes too slow. has been two weeks forgot to hit post absolutely love it but still refreshes slow get the app makes me happy on me it seems to work fairly well. I mean you said my tablet e 8 inch is not compatible with your app. I don't understand why I have such varying fluctuation all the way from sometimes 47 to 700 all within 2 minutes it's been as high a just shy 1400 it does make me check the plug
Main screen consumes a lot of energy in my device (maybe because of the high resolution animated advertisement), making the current charge to drop. So, the app itself is making the reading values unreliable.
Good app lots of info. There is a issue with my type of phone does not have the correct chip to get a accurate reading .One might want to look into that. The developer of the app does explain the issue in that app. Honesty is hard to come buy theses days . I tried other apps that this one gives more info than the otthers
Amazing! This app is exactly what I was looking for. Very, very useful real time mAh reader, I spliced a usb cable to test batteries and reverse charging on a small solar panel and it works great!! Im going ad free, hopefully you take paypal. Good work, thank you.
Good little utility. Used it for a while to make sure it works, and has been very handy. Never any problems, so I threw the developer a buck to remove the ad at launch. Good value!
Works to figure out when cords are not charging like they should be. Ads are not overly aggressive. Easy to use. Don't seem intrusive. I don't use it all time. But real handy to find the right charger to take with you so your not waiting time charging
Where did power go? It used to tell you how much power the charging cable gives. Now there is a silly although pretty interface showing it is charging. I know it is charging! Useless app, the update also made the ads way more aggressive. I will look for another app.

with new phones and chargers supporting QC 2.0 and 3.0 that don't only have different current charge rates but different voltages, there isn't an app anywhere that shows the chargers voltage or the power that the phone is being charged at. it would also be nice if it could say some info about the charger charging it if there is any electronic ID from the charger itself.
gets the job done. could use improvements to ui. otherwise it's pretty solid in terms of reliability. deserves a tip of the cap tip and a little skip as I walk away quickly.
Nice app. It has many contains estimated charging speed combine with alarm for charge at any percent you want. It's good for devices that doesn't support a hardware for calculating the charging speed.
Ampere meter is a fantastic app with amazing features. It works very smoothly. I like this app because of it's excellent performance and features.
Possibly the only one that works on Kindle! Great battery usage, charger strength, and apps consumption information. Feature full. This is all you'll need.
For me its not working
The measurements are completely different from reality . I've tested 3 chargers with this app and with ampere app. All 3 chargers were original and i've used original cables . The results reported by this app were off the chart . The results reported by ampere app were near the chargers output value
Primarily an ad delivery app that can show charge information. The ads get more screen time than the information the app is supposed to be built for. Better apps out there.
Ads are intrusive and annoying. Current, I would say is indicative not accurate but good enough to see what level of charging your charger is outputting. From my point of view a faster update of current would be helpful. I'm a cheapskate, I should buy a USB PSU tester but this got me started.
