Unreliable App; Bluetooth connectivity issues. I've been a proud owner of Ampler Hawk for 3 years now. I couldn't be more happier with its performance. Even the customer support Ampler had back then was impressive. Now it takes forever (even accounting for covid-19) to get support for a simple query. Recently, I've been having issues with app losing connection to the bike during rides. And now, it refuses to pair at all. Kindly provide a fix for Android (S10e), as it works better for iphone.
The app stability is definitely improving over time. Which is a relief! Although it would be great if Ampler finally brings out their own app instead of that of Comodule. Also, as the terms and conditions remove all liability from Ampler (and over to the user) in regards to adjusting max speed settings, it would be great if this feature was once again enabled for those who legally have that possibility.
App makes driving an Ampler bike more fun, but wastes potential and has issues. Issues: -Only can use the app with data and location enabled - drains the battery fast - Odometer resets - No total count of kilometers Potential: - Enable App on locked screen - switch on, off, up, down, lights - Push mode on the app - 3rd support mode of 50%, additional to 100% and 150%; for long distance trekking on levelled ground - Support use without Ampler maps - Distance tracking option w/o navigation
It's ok but not great. Often loses connection. Slow to connect. Always needs to be paired again. Sometimes it doesn't show items like odometer or boost setting 0. Frequently it doesn't save the ride to Strava.
The app works only limited on my Huawei P40 because there are no Google services installed. The navigation and tracking is therefore not possible, although the location is displayed. I would like it better if instead of google maps an open map service like openstreetmap would be available.
Good information a running of bike but aometimws looses connection with bike so bike turns off mid journey. Very power hungry if left running while not connected to bike.
Great app, very easy to use, simpel design. All you need to control the bike. It should be great is there was a widget for easy access.
Good app. Only one gripe, that is the units. Would be nice of the °C was seperate from km. In UK it is common to use miles and °C. But options are °F/MPH or °C/KPH. That would be a nice to have option. But otherwise, tidy app to go with a tidy bike.
The app is clean and well designed. I've had a few crashes on startup, but never while running the app. Connection to the bike never failed, but is a bit slow sometimes. Battery status readout could be improved, but is more than enough to give you an estimate. All in all, a useful and sleek companion app.
Ampler, I love the bike (so good job there) but the app is absolutely garbage. You really need to sort it out. It rinses the battery of my phone, constantly switches the bike between modes and seems to turn the bike itself off and on. I end up using the bike without the app and then another sat nav app as this one is mince. As I said tho, the bike is amazing!
