AMPLIFi Remote

This app is hands-down the most frustrating and poorly designed mobile app I've ever used by a reputable company (maybe even by anyone). I've been a fan of Line 6 and their amp modeling software and have used their Pod products for many years. I figured I'd stay with the amp and cab modelling I already knew and loved. But the navigation and the slow to connect (easy to unwantingly disconnect) Bluetooth in the hardware itself provide an experience that will have you screaming.

The tone search has never been great but now with the newer versions of android it doesn't work at all. I always thought of line 6 as a good company but maybe they're going downhill. If you're going to make a product that uses your phone, yeah make a great product which you have done but put just as much effort if not more into the app next time! I think everyone can agree with that!

The interface is great, but the app is only as useful as its connectivity. For some reason, though, it can't seem to maintain a connection with my phone. I've tried this with multiple Android phones and had the same problem every time. Every time I try to change an effect, amp, or cab, it drops the connection. Using the equivalent app on my wife's iPhone, however, I've been able to connect and stay connected without issue.

It's a wonderful app for a wonderful amp. I love this app. It has so many tones and effects that it's mind boggling. But it will not receive 5 starts, which it definitely deserves. A little while after installing and reinstalling, the ability to search for tones dose not work. It's a pain to keep reinstalling it and it's a feature I would love to use more frequently. Also I do not fully understand why there isn't a metronome available. Consider fixing and adding when you have another update.

This is difficult. The sounds on this are fantastic and it should be the best guitar device ever. Easy to use and edit too. It is massively let down by the blue tooth connectivity which is shocking and unreliable and make it impossible to gig with. I have given it 4 stars for the sounds only. The connectivity issues are a definite 1 star only. A Great product ruined. Shame.

This Amp has some good when it stays connected. Everytime you do an update something else doesn't work. Now I can't play music from my music file, it just kicks me out of Amplifi all together. I would never bring this Amp to a gig. It frustrating enough playing on it from home. I see other options online for similar type Amps. I would get one of those.

Stuck with using this app because I own an Amplifi, but it's not good. Very slow, non intuitive interface are bad enough but I could cope with that. The main kicker is the invalid token error messages I get regularly when searching. When that happens you need to delete the app and reinstall. I'm not alone with errors l this error, and yet it will not be fixed looks like. Unimpressed.

Almost a year on and still getting the oops message. what should be a wonderful app. and indeed is when it works. is seriously let down time after time on the tone search option. if you haven't used the app for a few days you get the dreaded " invalid token" error message. then you have to uninstall and reinstall thereby losing all of your set tones. extremely unhappy after paying so much for the amp. no help from the manufacturers other than please reinstall. poor service.😠

Constant 'invalid token' error. Can't save my tones & if I uninstall/reinstall to fix the issue, I just lose them the next time it occurs, which is usually the next time I use it. Uninstalling for good & selling my Line6 amp. If they cannot be bothered to support /fix an app that was a main selling point of their amp, then I won't bother to purchase anything from them in the future.

great app, ampifi tt is a great little machine too. App is responsive, sound is great but I'm an intermediate player and still learning. This is great for a starter, great for quiet practice. I do have some audio lag with guitar tabs and tab pro but everything else seems to work very well. I had to reinstall once when the app wasn't connecting but everything works perfectly since.

The sound quality and the options are amazing. only to be let down by horrible bt connection. it cant talk properly to the mobile device. I really hope someone would fix this. im actually thinking about getting rid if it just cuz of this connectivity issue. otherwise real high quality stuff. great for practising and venturing on learning.

Great idea. Poor implementation. The app constantly needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled in order to search new tones (token constantly expires). The Bluetooth (which is the main selling feature) is awful. It has a range of max 10ft and if someone walks in between you and the amp it cuts out. When it works it's great.

This damn app! Connecting through Bluetooth never happens automatically. Accidentally using 'back' closes the app and it needs to reconnect and reload all settings. Saving any changes I make requires me to log in, which the app forgets until the next time so I have to login again. Sometimes I build a preset only to lose it because I was either not logged in or the app loaded something else. There are 3 or 4 different places where presets are saved, can it get anymore confusing than that?

Good to start and explore the guitar effect world... very easy to use... I had some troubles with the app but maybe the problem is my phone... I recommend it for beginners like me who don't know too much about effects... you can download presets from the cloud and get to sound, maybe not identical (depends on your skill to configure the effects), but quite close to your favorite songs in just seconds.. you can also share presets with the cloud community... I like the whole concept.. 4 stars

I love this app when it works, however... When I try to add new song via tone search, I just get a message saying "oops we encountered an error: invalid token". I deleted the app and reinstalled, this made it work for a while and now it happening again. Each time I delete the app all songs are lost!... getting very annoyed with it.

The tone search never works unless I uninstall and reinstall the app. Then it works for one use. If I close the app and go back later tone search is broken again. It's also difficult to save your personal tones to the amp. Overall, very dissatisfied with the app and because of all of its issues it limits the usability of the amp.

Quite a few niggles that make the whole experience quite frustrating, but it is fully featured. App keeps having to reconnect to the amp whenever I switch to a different app quickly, doesn't connect quickly and there's no easy way to tell if it's even picked it up, not worth the hassle tbh

I bought this not cheap device to practice, but now the app complains it won't work on this version of Android, the Bluetooth won't connect, and it's now a brick. I've been a line 6 customer for 20 years, and I've never seen them abandon a product like this. This is on a galaxy s10, and it did work great when first purchased, but now it no longer works at all. If the app gets an update to fix these issues, I'll change my rating. But until then stay away

Yes! 🥰 This amplifi 150 is one of my favorite toys ever! The remote app has soooo many features, so many options it's incredible! A players special little box filled with all kinds of bells and whistles. If you've ever bought some equipment and gotten bored with it really fast, this might be a solution. The amp heads and cabinet selections are widely interchangeable with fantastic sound! There's a pedal for all your needs and super interchangeable setups.

Changing my review again. The app is still really hit or miss. I'm getting tired of reinstalling so I can get it to function for a while. When it works, it's enjoyable. The amp in stand alone is really lacking. I'm more comfortable using some of my other more reliable amps with other modelers & software or an ME-80.

The sounds are all wonderful, the app on the other hand is absolute trash. There are so many problems staying connected to the amp and it is far to easy to acidently leaving the app. It work far better asigning variables to the foot pedal (not included), but even then its kind of hit or miss. If you haven't bought the amp yet, dont. If you have bought the amp, enjoy how well it sounds, just don't try and giv with it.

After latest update it will no longer play music from built in player. When you try app closes. Message to line6 you sell this saying it will do certain things, now it no longer will do those things. This is your responsibility to your customers to correct asap. People have paid very good money for this amp. If you don't please refund all your amplifi customers.
