Not useful in anything but checking balance.
Great app. Allows for all major banking needs. In addition, great resources for trying to decide what to do with money. If I have questions, the app tells me either that to do or where to go to find what I need. Detailing banking for individual transactions made keeping my money safe easy and user friendly. Anyone complaining is someone who won't be satisfied with any banking app with a great credit union.
Amplify is still pretending Google Pay doesn't exist, even though other Credit Unions have managed to offer it. Apparently their Apple-owning customers matter more to them...
Fingerprint login now, awesome! Never had a problem with mobile deposits. I like the layout.
It's good enough to check my balances. And thats about it.
I am using a Samsung Galaxy S8 phone. Downloaded the app been able to log in with no problems. I'm using the mobile deposit feature had 0 problems with that as well. My old iPad did have some issues at-times taken picture but with the android OS and this phone it is not having a problems. The app is responsive and quick and I get the information I need without having to wait good job Amplify CU.
UPDATE- THIS IS THE OLD VERSION. DO NOT TRY TO INSTALL. IT WILL NOT WORK. The developers haven't deleted this version. Scroll down a bit and install the other Amplify App.....After being told on the previous app to uninstall and reinstall the newest app, the new version of the app will not install on my Samsung. This is extremely frustrating as I use the mobile app quite frequently.
I like this app for checking my account balances but it's next to impossible to use the deposit feature. I've tried multiple surfaces in multiple lighting with and with out flash. The pictures are clear and crisp with all 4 corners showing but can't get by 93 % so even with the new update, the deposit function still does not work.
This app is terrible. This is the classic tale of lack of leadership at the credit union. A 2.9 rating and still problems dont get fixed. The cu should be embarrassed. 2 hours on the phone and no resolve. Is it even safe? With the number of identity theft issues one would think the cu would care.....nope. Upper level mgt needs to hire some people that care and get this fixed.
Been a member with amplify for 3 years now. Been the worst three years of online banking in my life. Can never log into the app. Always something wrong with it. Either have scheduled maintenance from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., or outages that they're aware of and they're fixing that take him a day or two to fix. And if there's any time in between, there's just glitches throughout the entire system. I Can Only log into this app maybe once out of 8 tries? It's ridiculous. And now? You can't even install the app anymore. They did another scheduled maintenance on it. They had me clear out all my cache files clear out all my data, and if it still doesn't work, which it didn't, then they want you to uninstall and reinstall. So I did. So now I've lost all my data that I had set up for Google Play. Have to go back in and reenter everything else and save it all. And guess what? Still can't install their stupid app. And they're trying to blame Google Play on this. Absolutely the worst online banking I've ever dealt with. Enough so that I'm getting ready to switch Banks. I'm sick of it
It takes several attempts to get the accounts to load. At times I give up after attempting multiple times and becoming frustrated. I have experienced the same issue on the desktop site. The upgrades have been a failure as far as I am concerned.
I would give this a no stars if possible because it logs on correctly about 1 out of every 100 attempts. Almost completely useless and definitely unreliable. The old app would work fine for me 99 times out of 100 while this is the polar opposite. I honestly will probably be switching to wells Fargo because I need to be able to quickly and consistantly handle my finances and amplify has been dropping the ball. EDIT: 8 months later and the problem has not been addressed and its still a huge hassle to simply view my balance.
I installed the update and can no longer use mobile deposit. The app does something to my camera and it will not auto focus on the check. Just a blurry rectangle. Cmon amplify! This is weak sauce.
Terrible login issues. I usually give up after about 5 tries but I've gone as many as 10 logins in row that all failed. This has gotten so bad I'm on the verge of closing my account just for this. No apparent effort to fix any of this.
It's useless to download. I'll go into the app to deposit a check and its telling me to log into the app first. It's aggravating and not the least bit helpful. Giving two stars only because it's a faster login time than the website.
I never had an issue with the app until the most recent update. After trying to log in it gets stuck on the loading screen. I'm forced to use the mobile website to check my accounts but the website doesn't support mobile deposits which is what I really need.
I am very happy as a long term customer of AMPLIFY. The ongoing and signficant changes through out the years have kept me as one of their loyal customers.
On rare occasions that I am able to log on, it takes about 3 interminable Iong minutes after punching in login and password. But most of the the time, it just freezes and I cannot log on.
After the most recent update the app will no longer work at all. I can't update the app and deleting and trying to reinstall doesn't work. Obviously they care very little about this app and I doubt anyone will care that Android no users are having a hard time.
Camera no longer adjustable so can't focus and brightness too high to see text so check images not accepted.
I was told to uninstall my current app and install the new app. The New app won't install and refs me to app developers. I think I'll let Amplify do it. They got me into this problem and they should get me out.
Almost never works. Even making an attempt at all seems like a huge waste of time. An absolutely useless app.
I'm having the same issue as Patrick. Will not connect to the server no matter if I'm on wifi or 4G. Please fix. I don't have access to a computer I rely on mobile. Samsung galaxy S5
It's worked just fine until this last update. Now I can't update the app to check my balance. 😡
Took forever to download the app and after I did it still said I didn't and now trying to access my account is impossible. It was just fine before the update.
The app is great, except that mobile check deposits don't work on my OnePlus Android phone. The camera can't seem to capture a focused image. Not sure if there is some optimization required by the developer, my other banking apps do not have this issue.
