UI is atrocious and navigation is terrible. As there are several features that aren't necessary. We just wanted to sync our phone speakers, not create a music group video chat. It wasn't as easy as tapping our phones together like in their promo vid lol. Once you find a playlist on Spotify the interface offers a load of social features but doesn't make it easy choose a new playlist or search for other songs. Also be weary of the subscription... Cancel it before you delete the app
Me and my friend were connected to our speakers and tried playing, absolutely no sound came out, if you could fix that in offline mode, that would be very much appreciated. We been trying to get a app to do this for weeks and nothing is working I keep hearing about this app so if you guys could change that it would be awesome. Awez this is literally the only problem
So buggy. Keeps losing connection, couldn't join the party again kept saying party was over when it wasn't. Also it warns that Bluetooth is beta. I get it but the whole point of this app is for Bluetooth devices. I wouldn't need the app if everyone was able to connect to wifi.
Absolutly the worst experience ever trying to get my two JBL EON 712's to both bluetooth connect at the same time. Why in the hell cant you make instructions simple. You advertise connect muliple bluetooth devices at the same time but once in to the app, all you talk about is friends and parties. To hell with that, start out with SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS to connect more than one bluetooth device then talk about parties and sharing. Any way, totally frustrated wuth yiur app. Ive deleated this app sorr
Solid app. The interface isn't too clear, and the design choices plastering emojis all over the place were poor. Still, 4 stars. Does what it says. There used to be a time when only Samsung was able to pull this"party trick" off, way earlier in Android's life. Thanks for sharing with the world!
Cannot detect any devices via Bluetooth. Cannot be host due to Android version. When I clicked on other devices link and then the party ended already even it isn't. Then it ask for free trial for unlimited sync even I didn't even have 1 success try and ask for credit card info.
Hey there... I used AmpMe before on my iPhone and had no problems, the fact that the Sound Booster only would work if I had a party on with some friends was my if for the app but I got used to it. Now I am on my Galaxy Note S20 Ultra and AmpMe won't connect with my Deezer Account and I am premium on both.... The message back says... ERROR NO APPLICATION DATA OK Can you help me out? What Am I doing wrong? No other app out there that does what you do the way you do! So I am sad right now
Price is too insane. All I want from this app is to be able to connect multiple BT speakers. I don't care for setting up "parties". And for this feature you need to subscribe. And subscribing for $10 a week is a BIG no-no, Even $120 a year is too much for such a feature. And they can keep answering every post like this with their copy&pasta. But it doesn't help anyone, really. Keep dragging this app down due to its cost, please. It's outrageous, just because they have ONE universal app that can sync up several BT devices they think they can be unreasonable in price. I tried with the free version to sync up with my PC and it was not in sync at all, no matter how much I tried turning the dial for 10 increments at a time, it got close, but not perfect. Sadly. So I won't know how two identical speaks would do until I sub, which I won't. I'd rather buy a BT transmitter to avoid subbing for the simple features that I need. Or wait until another developer makes exactly what I need.
It was a nice app in the past, but now it have become something between rip-off or scam. The price of 10$ per month would be expensive, but, since they are taking this per WEEK, in combination with automatic switching from free trial to this "subscription", I think, it's purpose is quite clear - they want to grab as much money from your account as they can, before you notice what kind of "service" you have subscribed. Be careful!
it is a phenomenal app, but they should let you use it more than just once for free. I am very disappointed that after I play something once, I will never be able to play something again. one free trial is nowhere near enough. you should make it free to use, but put in ads every few songs. this would make you money, and keep the users happy. if you do this you would be a better alternative to Pandora or spotify.
Will not allow you to use it without subscribing via Google Play. Accepting the free trial means you agree to allow them to automatically charge you as soon as the trial ends, if you forget to cancel manually. Hell no, goodbye. I'll buy a device outright with Android 9.0 and the multi-speaker function built in, before I sign up to pay $14.99 a month, just to stream my music to multiple Bluetooth speakers from a single device. Disappointing. Was looking forward to trying it out.
It mostly works, but you have to pay way to much. $9.99/week for those that are curious. For my uses, I wanted to play the same song on multiple Bluetooth speakers, from multiple devices. To use the autosync you need an extra device that is not hooked up to a speaker. I ended up fiddling with the delay manually to get it to work. Later I went to try and use it again, only to be told I would have to purchase a $9.99/week subscription. No thanks, not worth $40 every month.
Inconsistence performance. I used the desktop app in combination with my phone, to play through two different devices, one a stereo attached to my desktop, and the other a bluetooth device outside. Worked okay for a little bit, then the desktop kept dropping in and out and stopping entirely, requiring a restart. It just didn't work, so I gave up. It's also ridiculous to price this at $4.70 a week. That's almost double my spotify subscription, which is, you know, the actual music, and it means that over a year that would make it more expensive than my actual bluetooth devices, which, you know, actually deliver the music...why the developers think their app is worth more than the hardware I use to play my music and/or the actual music itself is beyond me...but even if this app had have done what it says it does properly, which it didn't, I still would have cancelled after the trial.
Does what it says, but not that well, and at way too high of a price. It syncs together the actual devices relatively close. There is delay incorporated from Bluetooth speakers, and different speakers might have different delays, so that makes things difficult, and there's no other slider or anything else to adjust latency. I wired the speakers to get past this. App can't load YouTube playlist >20 songs, and $10 a week is ridiculous. It was neat, but I'm never going to use it again.
It works really well the only issue is you have a limited amount of "parties" with out having to pay roughly 10 dollars. Which doesn't help if you already pay for a music or video streaming service like youtube or spotify that it connects to anyway. Essentially you could just get some speakers but it is an easy way to have surround sound if you dont have speakers.
I was psyched to find this app as i thought i would finally be able to play music with my friends and have fun but it doesn't work as an app. First of all you need to search music from their in-app browser which is laggy on top of having a limited choice for music(only mainstream). I'm afraid that's not the biggest problem, the sync doesn't even work. You're supposed to do it manually which is a hassle and it always will be off by a second or two, making the song sound weird.
I heard about the Ampmeapp through Instagram and decided I had to give it a try! Me and a friend connected our phones for a small party and were very happy with the results. It had great sound, was easy to use, and worked well with the wifi. It did cut out a bit when we walked too far away from each other but that was easily fixed by connecting another phone!! Its a great app that did just what we needed/hoped for!
This app is completely broken. It works about as well as an app promising this functionality would. Basic features simply do not work. Leaving the app and returning instantly gives you a "No internet connection" banner, regardless of your connectivity. Connecting to Spotify does not work. I was taken out of the app to connect, logged in successfully, but AmpMe did not capture my credentials. I was unable to play any music in any capacity. All in all an extreme disappointment for a paid app.
One of the worst apps I've ever used. It crashes all the time, doesn't recognize YouTube premium and therefore you need to keep your phone unlocked all the time, pretty much doesn't recognize music services other than Spotify and Deezer, has a lag in Android and therefore Android users cannot sync with iOS users, and ... I can go on more and more.
Downloaded it and first thing I noticed was it's 8.99/week which I was excited about because that ment it would give me my money's worth. Secondly not a big fan of the U.I and it took a few times for us to connect. After that the music was terribly out of sync and didn't work very well as an app. Finally we canceled the subscription and uninstalled it and wrote a review. One star because the app didn't do the one thing it was set up to do. Save your money, get a Bluetooth speaker.
They want $9.99 per WEEK! if that's not enough to turn you away, I opened the app anyway, my friend joined my room. It showed them in there but none of the music was playing for them. The audio quality of my music was significantly reduced as well. It sounded terrible. We tried resynching our phones with their provided "resync" button... Failed. Failed multiple times. Tried to host a YouTube playlist but then they wanted $9.99 per week. Pfffhahaha. UNINSTALLED.
I know you need profits to improve the app, I get that. Add some ads that play at certain intervals throughout a party. Currently you're asking customers if they want the ability to stream music they have for $40 bucks a month, or if they'd rather have (Spotify + Netflix + Hulu + HBO) I don't know many people dumb enough to choose your service as interesting a concept it is. While your pricing is still problematic I think your quick replies to customers is underrated. (Adding 2 stars for that)
It is criminal what the developers are asking to use this app (after free-trail has terminated). $10/week, that's $40 a month for a simple app that hardly works when you want to use bluetooth devices! Be sure to carefully read what you are getting as well, because you have to use multiple devices (various phone etc.) to all play the same song. Unlike I thought, and I assume most people, you can't use a single device/phone to control multiple bluetooth devices. And again, for $40 a month!
Wow, this is a pretty decent app, and it's a real good idea, one that I've been looking for,but the business model is completely absurd. I remember using it years ago, it was free but did have bugs. But now, $9.99/week subscription for such minimal buggy benefits just screams Greed. Stay away, don't accidentally subscribe and get your pocket drained.
This app is useless and its only purpose is to gather a maximum of your data to sell it. DO NOT INSTALL IT AT ANY COST. I did and now I feel filthy ... Plus it doesn't even work: it had only one job, streaming your sound to multiple devices. You can join a "party" for that, and play the sound that gets streamed there. The only issue is that to be able to do it with the sound, you have to invite more friends lol, making the app useless. This app is what I call a "data begin hoe".
