GUI is minimalistic, though the flow of adding a new photo to the roll is not very streamlined (every photo has to have a name typed??). Film capacity is fixed, what do I do with my 38 or 39 or 40 (depending on film change skill) pictures on e.g. a Leica m6 (just one of many cameras capable of taking more than 36 on a 36 roll). Without export the log is quite useless, for light meter there are more intuitive apps...
Log book is too limited to be useful for me (not even a lens field?). No export function. Minimal UI which kind of looks nice, but doesn't work as well as it could.
So far so good. Loving that your metering can be direct imported into the log itself. Makes life easier.
Very useful app! I would like to have also the low ISO settings, for example 6.
The lightmeter only measures the front camera, without any setting to change that. Please change that.
Great and usefull app however there are rooms for improvement. I only use this app for logbook and one thing really annoyed me which is I have to name my photo on every log I make. I would love to have a default like (photo # , frame #) so I don't have to type that on every frame. Other than that it's a decent app. I would also like have iso that go lower than that. I regularly shoot Svema MZ-3 which is iso3 and some other film that go as low as 0.6 iso.
Needs some usability improvements. It would be a lot better if the app remembered the settings from the previous frame. I shoot a whole roll with hardly any adjustments to the shutter speed and aperture but I need to spin the numbers from the beginning for every single picture. It's not hard to use just increadibly inefficient. It could also use some desktop widgets or quick launch actions because this is Android...
I loved how simple the logbook is set up, but until there's an export (to Google sheets or something) this is pretty useless. I just had to export and entire vacations logs by hand because I'm getting a new phone....
Great app. A great suite of tools that are all simple to use. I do endorse some of the suggestions for improvement, including GPS tagging, exporting logs, and presets, etc.
Wonderful app. Needs some work with the GUI to make it easier to use in -10 degrees outside in Norway with gloves etc but it is a very useful app and good start. I suggest focusing on the log book part and outsource the lightmeter and DOF to separate apps that can communicate with Analog.
The controls are not much intuitive making it hard to use. Support however is excellent of those hard to find for apps in Google Play.
Great app, but two suggestions: 1. It would be better to remember the last settings when use light meter again 2. Can you provide a option to switch the sense camera, sometimes the back camera would be better
Nice material design and the logbook feature is really useful.
Simple UI, easy to use and i love it
Please make a shortcut directly to the logbook
Good start. Things that immediately come to mind I'd like to see would be in the light meter, exposure times longer than a second, and maybe a reflected light option (rear camera). An option to add ND filters or other filters common in black and white photography such as yellow, might be useful. A reciprocity failure calculator would be a worthy addition to this app too.
Everything I've been looking for in one app. You can tell the developer is an avid photographer and really cares about good design. Everything is so fluid and fits perfectly.
The log books are great! But those are the improvements they could make: 1. Customize the stop-increase to log a shot in. 2. Widget to quickly add a new shot in a determined log book. 3. Aperture and shutter speed should be set on the last entry of a certain log book 4. I should be able to export log books. Thank you!
Absolutely incredible experience extremely useful for a film photographer, has all the measurements spot on 🙌
Like other folks already said; good potential, lots of room for improvement. The UI is minimalist. entering type shouldn't require backing out to save it. I'll try it some more, but it might be back to the moleskin... also just found that 1/8sec gets logged as 8s, very confusing. speeds are ambiguous. Would be nice to specify camera/lens profiles, to limit the scrolling through ALL the options. I'm only using the logbook, btw.
