Anatomy 4D

How to Use Anatomy 4D:
To get started, print any of the images from the “Target Library” inside the app, accessible from the Main Menu. Once printed, place the image on any flat surface, scan the image with your device and watch your 4D Experience come to life.

Through this free app and a simple printed image, Anatomy 4D transports students, teachers, medical professionals, and anyone who wants to learn about the body into an interactive 4D experience of human anatomy. Visually stunning and completely interactive, Anatomy 4D uses augmented reality and other cutting edge technologies to create the perfect vehicle for 21st century education.

So much more than an app, the Anatomy 4D experience takes viewers on a journey inside the human body and heart, revealing the spatial relationships of our organs, skeleton, muscles, and body systems. This simple-to-use 3-dimensional learning environment is great for use in the classroom, or anytime.

Designed by DAQRI, the Anatomy 4D app enables you to:
• Learn about and explore the human body and heart in intricate detail
• Highlight various organ systems individually, so for instance, you can focus on just the skeletal, muscular, or respiratory system
• Change the view back and forth between a male and female body
• Zoom in to experience each organ or body part in-depth
• Use new image targets including the new heart target (this new app release still supports the original image target)
• Get inspired about human anatomy!

This app is amazing and well put together. I have been showing co-workers what this app can do and all are amazed. Its too bad that there is not a paid version with more medical models to choose from. I would definitely be your first customer (hint, hint)...

To all those who can't get this to work, don't flame, in my HCT one it works like a charm. Also it's not a waste of time it's a great and free way to experience the body and also very helpful if you're interested in the science behind it. Hope for new updates in the future, it would be great if you guys could add support for the google cardboard, please do that :P Once again, great app. Love it!

This is like VR IN YOUR HAND, not some mask you're wearing and anyone near you can see it too. Want to zoom in on the patient, just move your phone camera closer to the patient on the printed page for a closer look inside the body! AMAZING visuals! This is the app I use to show my friends house cool the graphics are on my Galaxy Note 4 screen!

The camera doesn't focus by itself for some reason, and the device does this only in case of this app. Which results in not being able to scan the image at all. If there was a solution for this not-autofocusing issue, or an option, to help it get a sharp image, I would definitely give this app a 5*. Please fix it!

Then what about the dorsal or posterior aspect of the body. Can u please improve the app so that we can see the dorsal view. Please add the feature so that we can see the name of the structure when we touch them 😎 keep going.... I was amazed when I saw this... Great work ppl... Keep going.

This app gives you a stunning almost real life 4D image of human anatomy and an animated functioning heart. This app may be useful in educating school children. This is definitely not for any advanced studies. Developers may develop another app that would be useful for medical students giving detail view of the anatomy.

In don't have a printer but I used my laptop and pulled up the photo and it works perfect, you just need something that has the picture of the paper on it. Outstanding, can you guys make more 4d papers? There's only the human body, and heart. I would love to look at other organs.

Can't want until more are released. I have a development question about possibly how to show congenital heart defects in 4D

Anatomy 4D is a fantastic app. It helps to understand human body structure to great extent to a layman like me. Absence of facility to rotate the body disappoints though.

Instructions say to save "target" pictures, but they are pics with lines, app still goes back to your fon camera and still does not work.if it MUST be printed only, don't list other options. But I'm sure printed paper underneath my camera wouldn't fix it either

There are, to my knowledge, just three images it recognizes and two 4D models/experiences displayed. But despite this limitation it works reliably and quickly... very useful to demonstrate augmented reality quickly to someone.

Works really well on iPad. Even heart beats can be felt in iPad. With android phone, 4D structure of heart appears well but does not beat like in iPad. Limited usage for android users.

Great app for demonstrating to non-professional and of course showing off. For professional use it's just not enough

Excellent concept but a total fail.

Not bad over all. My Anatomy students love if. They did start to question why the blood flow was incorrect. Some of the areas that should show oxygenated blood should have deozygenated blood and vice versa.

You have to point the camera to a 4D image to get the 3d view 😕..I recommend they should have some preloaded anatomy tours inside

Looks interesting, not very clear instructions and website not functioning and the video doesn't work. Till these get sorted you'll get a higher rating. Instructions are rubbish, just point etc but not working!

Blue and red blood needs to be switched. Deoxygenated blood in svc, oxygenated in aorta. Needs to be fixed asap to not confuse students

Everyone I've shown this to loves it, including younger kids and even my daughter in medical school ! The ability to really closely inspect any aspect of the anatomy is incredible.
