I have now been playing for about a week. I really like the concept and graphic ambiance. However the game has few aspects that strongly decrease its interest. First, the waiting times are really most of the time you play: animated dices thrown over and over should be sumed up with results. Second: any strategy you arrange is rendered useless by overwhelming random events. Even in easy mode I ve not won once, random events can wipe a team, so strategy takes second place, and luck first. Pity...

TLDR; Get out of game and get back in mostly fixes all bugs. Okay. As it stands, the game has a few bugs. it's literally still in development, though. They're working on it and keeping it going. The art for the characters looks a bit chintzy, sure, and there could be different assets for different cities around the world, and events but overall it's an amazingly similar experience to the inspiration. EH is one of my favorite games and plays exactly the same. Keep it coming, and I'll keep playing

The game is a good game. I like the story and mechanics. However the one thing that holds me back from liking it more is that it crashes. My phone runs the game for a good while but crashes soon after a few minutes. Because of this, I can't get the full experience this game could offer. I hope it gets optimized for more devices, and for more styles of play. As to put in mind I am using a Samsung Galaxy A10, and running an 8 player game.

I've finished my first game. The interface is very good. The constant ads for every phase get old quickly. I enjoyed it alot. Update: I have grown frustrated over a few things: On a smartphone, the main screen buttons are so close together that it is easy to press the wrong one. There is no confirmation on starting a new game if one is in progress, so I have lost numerous games to this flaw.

Just started and the game asked me to rate it to unlock content. somewhat inconvenient ad's (not really annoying because it's not videos that you need to wait for to end, but they are there). Edit 1: some ads are videos and more annoying is the fact that some ads are required to advance in the game. So as a free game it is terribly full of ad's. On the other hand the removal of them is cheap, so i'll keep at it a bit more.

So far so good, it really does feel playing the original board game, which I love! Good graphics; the font is sometimes difficult to read. Only suggestion: include a way of explaining mechanics not covered in the tutorial. i.e: what the tokens on the omen counter are, how to use tickets, the # of successful rolls needed for ability checks is different than the # needed for combat overall (unless I'm misunderstanding). Learning by trial and error in a game like this is very frustrating.

Fun, but confusing. I'm enjoying the game, it's a nice challenge, but some things are not explained and sometimes I have to guess what to do next. For example, how do I gain an artifact? But I'm learning as I play. Apparently artifacts are gained in random city encounters...? Easy mode, 1 loss 1 close win. Trying normal mode now and doing better than in easy. EDIT: Thank you for the information about the Expedition, I had wondered what use there is for the Expedition. It only seemed dangerous to be around because of so many events that hurt characters on or near it. I had a long streak of losing, maybe 40 or 50 games in a row, before I again started to win about 10% of my games. It's frustrating to lose on a series of bad dice rolls (I once rolled 13 dice and did not get a single 5 or 6.) But I like the challenge and know it's possible to win, so it's fun.

Initially, I gave this game 5*s. It's a wonderful game, conceptually. However... The difficulty of actually "winning" a game, even at the lowest and easiest setting is such that it makes me want to throw my device across the room... or simply play some other game. So... 4*s now. Still a wonderful game. Progressive difficulty could use a little tweaking.

Good game, great idea. The only problem, and it absolutely ruins the gameplay, is that the player doesn't have the ability to not cancel an action once started. I found myself using a character skill or a card and then being unable to un-confirm the action to go back to the previous action's menu. Extremely frustrating and it ruined the whole experience.

I don't want to leave a bad review, because it seems really fun! But whenever you try to do anything with the gates, it completely crashes and i can't progress, which is a bit disappointing. I thought maybe it was just the tutorial so i skipped it but it did it again in the main game. I have an s8 active.

Ads after every phase, ads to restart the game, some or the original game's content is locked behind a paywall. Other than that, it's a scripted version of tabletop arkham, so you don't have to scour the rules to make every action proper, very convenient. Edit: Fast forward button sometimes bugs out the text and the buttons in an encounter, use at your own risk. RE: RE: I don't see how your proposal makes any difference to people who might read this review.

New Player here. The game is good so far, although something that bothers me about the investigators is that you have to play as them to see what they can do. It would be nice to have a menu or something that just categorizes the characters stats, abilities and starting equipment besides the vague information when selecting them.

It's a decent rendition of the board game that it is obviously copying. The interface is clunky. You are sometimes forced to make decisions without being able to review the implications. There is no back button to undo decisions. There is no way to look at how many clues or tickets other players have. There is at least one game breaking bug with the implementation of lost in time and space. And the ads are annoying.

It stays very faithful to the board games it's based on, with the addition of fairly strong UI/UX to navigate the mass of information Lovecraft board games have. Only have a few minor ideas for improvements: main menu UI is a bit buggy. Having a bit more investigator information would be useful as well as a "start game" CTA instead of just picking number of investigators. A settings tab on the main menu would be handy as well, especially if it could turn off the lightning effect.

It's fun, you keep playing it. If you're used to winning games, then probably play the game on easy, if you start out playing on normal it's going to lie, cheat and steal to make sure you lose. The AI has a nifty way of knowing what you're doing and f*it up. It will pull the most inconvenient cards or die rolls at the most inconvenient times. However, it's Lovecraft. So it only makes sense that even the game wants to kill your characters. Problem: Die rolls are loaded negatively.

Its a bit clunky but I like it. You should add an indicator for how many actions an investigator has. Also, make zooming in on cards a long press instead if a tap. It would be nice if you could see more information about each investigator before you pick your starting team. The fast forward button should be a toggle on or off instead of holding a button, or make a toggle to disable animations. Either way would be good. A custom or random investigator would be cool, too.

Good implementation. But certain graphic elements disappear (get black spinning rectangle over map obscuring everything's under it). Also, rather resource intensive for a board game app. Needs options to reduce unnecessary effects to improve performance. Seems like it needs some coding improvements for efficiency as well, it should not be this resource heavy. A good start to a game though.
