It's nice that this app found my Plex server without any problem, and can play a song from my Plex library on my phone. It's not so nice that I can only play one at a time - there's no way that I can find to play an entire album or set up any kind of playlist. One song plays, then I have to go select another manually. At the very least, I should be able to play an entire album in order.
I use this app to browse my plex media server. I simply needed a dlna browser and it does exactly that but not without some hiccups. I noticed that if I have a lot of movies in a single folder it can't access and says can't connect to media server. But this doesn't happen with music folder. Hope the dev will soon rule out this problem. And yes this is the only app in playstore that give me the option to select players.....
Great light-weight app, exactly what I was looking for: lets you browse dlna server but plays videos with your favourite player (mx in my case). Shame it comes up so late in the app store, I had to test so much crap before..
I've been trying to get recorded TV from a Panasonic HWT230EB to stream via DLNA to a Nexus 7 2013 (Marshmallow) and a Samsung Tab 4 (Lollipop) and after trying the official Panasonic apps and every other client under the sun this all is the only one that works without error or lag. This is brilliant; keep up the good work!
Shows the Favorites and Channels folders, but trying to open either presents an uninformative error message "Unable to connect to server"
This app dont have all the crap or ads. Just do what it should do. Very simple interface.
This is a really great app that works well. For development in the future, I suggest a user selectable delay for the time out on server. Folders with many files time out while folders with fewer files work just fine- so at times it thinks my DLNA server is unavailable.
Works great with small collections but I have 500+ videos (entire tv seasons and movie series) ripped from my dvd collection and 1000 songs. It times out to fast and looses connection with the server.
Once opened, this takes several minutes to recognise my dlna server, but once it has, it's very good. Has/anybody got any ideas how to speed it up? On an arnova family pad running icecream sandwich.
Only shows an empty screen while other dlna apps work fine. Htc m9 latest firmware, lg smartshare on pc as dlna server.
Feels lightweight, and just works. Not sure if I should fault the app for this, but it wouldn't play an MKV file. Otherwise, this is nice app, and awesome that it is free.
I was very impressed with the speed of this app, no problems. Works well with vlc for video. Very simple and intutive interface.
Needs lots of work and improvements to make it look better, but it is 100% functional and bug free. Great job well done.
It is so light and simple, but it lacked a local media player, as I use VLC and doesn't play from this but used total commander and worked. Other than that is perfect
A no-frills tool that does the job with a minimum of fuss. Works fine with a Linux-based server running minidlna.
I installed this and immediately found all my media servers in my home. Using Galaxy Note 3. Streamed Guardians of the Galaxy in 720p effortlessly from my PC.
This app fixed some problems with my Dlna wireless server. Great
I installed this on a lark after getting frustrated with the buggy, bloated big name dlna clients. This simple app lets me connect to my minidlna server and gets out of my way.
Nice job works great. Running Serviio on my win 7 pc to samsung tv 2011 and anDLNA on my samsung tablet works like a charm with anDNLA is free and easy to use. Folders are repesented as it would be with Serviigo that cost 25us so thanks for a nice free simpel and 100% working as it should. Perfect
It won't play movies like stream them all you can do is download and then play until you can stream to the player I won't give five stars
Doesn't ask for permissions it doesn't need, gets the job done quickly and efficiently, but needs a few updates and fixes. In particular, picture sharing support is flaky and it badly needs thumbnail support.
Works fine with a windows 8.1 media server. Could do with a play to option so I can directly send the stream to my Samsung smart TV.
All I was looking for was an app to sit between my media server (running Serviio) and media players on my Nexus 4, this did exactly what was required Ad Free.
The Ronseal of DNLA clients/players. Serviio on Win 7 pc to Samsung Tablet, Galaxy S5, and HTC One M8s no problem.
Very fast and easy to operate, I would suggest this app to anyone who wants to watch videos over dlna on there android device
Sees the DLNA servers from my HDHomeRun and router, but not my Windows 10 PC.
This app works wonderful. The fact that the iOS doesn't have a free app with the functionality of this proves android is superior!
Finally what I want... and with landscape browsing, too. Thanks for this. It's easy to operate and loads up faster than the other apps I have tried.
This program subscribes to the do one thing and do it well philosophy. With its playback functionality, you can even combine this with VLC and screen casting to play videos on Chromecast. Not as richly-featured as I require, but were I more organized and had all my videos formatted correctly, this would be the program to get.
