Andro Shredder

One of my favourite apps since a long time. But with recent updates, it has not been as per expectation. 1) schedule doesn't work perfectly. Despite having a weekly scan with all days scheduled, it has not scanned beyond the last day of the previous month. In other words, 30 June was last scanned, and no scans in July. Same happened in April & May. 2) After having wiped say 4GB free space then AndroShredder will show cache/data storage space of 4GB to be utilised. so my free space disappears.

Does what it says, does it easy, and does it well. The interface is very simple to use, and while I can't say for sure if the data has indeed been wiped, it's reasonable to assume that it'll be safe from most recovery software. If the CIA is after your data, good luck. I didn't face any of the issues that other users have reported, so this app is certainly worth a shot.

Still have old version on previous phone, it works very well im afraid to use the upgrade on new phone afraid to lose anything. The old version is great and i wont let it update i have ran every wipe possible and all ran smooth i sure hope they get this fixed as the old one was perfect and thats why i gave 3 stars if fixed ill change to 5 stars or even if the option to go back to the old version im going to try to switch the old app to my current phone.

Nothing happens after wiping my storage out. It doesn't delete my deleted files. I used to recover the deleted files and it shows again. Useless app.

Good, but I notice that the newer version doesn't have separate wiping of SD cards. Does this new version wipe everything at the same time, or am I supposed to choose a setting?

Using Andro Shredder v1.31 "old-school" ver. bec. the new vers. are buggy or won't even launch. Click WIPE should show 4 wiping areas : ❶ InSD, ❷ Em/0, and ❸ ExSD (Rem.) and ❹ SMS (Partition) 👍. Note: ❶ IntSD and ❷ Em/0 share the same Flash/SD card but both must show so make sure all 4 partitions are shown. Best Use: Clear Device Cache prior to wiping 4 partitions at Min setting then Clr Dev Cac again then click WIPE will show free space increase in IntSD and Em/0 so wipe ❶ and ❷ again.

I have installed "Andro Shredder 2". On Help File, it says "AndroShredder does not show any ads", but it SHOW ads... On About File, there no version number. UNINSTALLING.

Deleted SMS wipe has disappeared from this update! Why? Because of this I now only give 2 stars when previously I would have given 5* Please give us the old version back so we can be sure deleted SMS are gone forever.

older version seemed better to use . This seems over simplified because of less options features.

Does the job quietly with no hassles - so quite that you only know it works through the 'messages' (logs). Love the scheduler.

Pl rectify the problems mentioned by users....your app was great do not harm it....would rate it 5 if it comes back to life ..why do not get back the app that was working. Pl

This is a permanent app on my phone. Everyone should have this downloaded.

If nothing else pretty stable

Useless. The MMS wiper doesn't work or even find my messages. It only wipes emulated storage space so if you plug your phone into a pc all the files are still visible, even without any data recovery tools. Shame because this used to be a good app. Developers, you need to fix this app or pull it from Google Play, because technically your lying to people.

I love Andro Shredder. It use to be a wonderful Mobile Application. The previous version works fine but this latest update is a scam. You therefore need to urgently work on it and release another update that will address all these shortfalls. Thank you

Have been using old version and totally satisfied. New version says things are shredded in just a second or two but the files are still there. Can't be confident that wiped space is actually wiped. Hugely disappointed with update and already miss the old version. Better display in old version too. Would love the increased speed if it worked. Needed more and better testing. Now with further use am updating the review to say that thumbnails of deleted files being left behind. Shredding is not working properly. Sometimes even full file gets left. Normal delete and then space wipe seems to work but this a very clunky workaround . Shopping for a new program now.

As is apparent from its antecedents this is the system that i used, but by Titanium.fr on a GOOD laptop OS. Even the disc compression. Now a ROOT!, and Dr. Strangelove will be happy during off hours .... Infortuneately this update no longer allows my discression when it comes to the depth of cleaning once available. UI? I enjoyed the comedy team, chap at shredder? Just like one at ITT Federal Crypto lab. Hint?? Updating my nasty comments: It is Google's efforts to protect their OS from this app

Liked it much better before the update. Now I can't be sure files are gone. Apps say files are gone, but when I connect to my PC to do file transfers, I often find they are there.

SMS feature is excellent, but I have to use ShreddIt for my external SD cards space.

This app does nothing, i was able to recover files it claimed it shredded with a data recovery program

First version, 5 stars, this "upgrade" zero stars. This USED to be the best app for wiping. I think the developer is just being stubborn now not bringing the old version back.

Totally rubbish compared to old version. May as well ditch.

Old version was good. After upgrade i cannot search anything in the search tab. The buttons on the apps are not responding. Any way to downgrade the app to old version?🤔

Won't shred directory with 3k files.(fail to initialize )
