I lost my phone the other night & this app actually helped me find my phone. I was so shocked because you know for the app to actually work, certain things have to be set up on the phone just right & thank the Lord, I don't know how, but they were all set up correctly & I was able to "play the sound" & find my phone outside. It was a " miracle". Great app.... 5 stars

If the device has been signed out of the Google account, already been factory reset, or has been damaged, this is completely useless. HOWEVER, it does work well as long as the app is installed on the device you're trying to locate and the afore-mentioned issues don't hinder it. I'd suggest that a 2nd PIN setting could be added in this app to prevent factory reset of the device or the uninstall of locator app before its found. I use a free app-locker now, which seems to be effective so far. 🤞🤞

Always been a 5* app until recently. Always worked perfectly, however recently when my friend misplaced his phone he used this app to locate it, usually works. However this time it said he needed to type in a code which had been sent to his phone... The phone he was attempting to locate. What the heck Google? 😂

It's rubbish, you ask to borrow someone's phone to sign in as a guest because you can't find your bloody phone. The app then send a 2 stage verification to the phone that is currently lost. That's well thought through. If you sign in as a guest, take some of the features away like wiping your phone. You should still be able to lock with a message or find your phone. the way you have it at the moment, you might as well not have the guest mode.

It appears to work exactly like the website except that it looks better. I used to have a Chrome link to the website on my homescreen. Now I have a link to this app. It meets expectations. For people with two-factor security who give this one star because they cannot find their phone, set this up and test it BEFORE you lose your phone. You may have to set the app to not prompt for password or just use the website on a trusted computer.

The function works fine but the apps looks are very outdated. I really hope it gets a new modern UI as it really needs it!

I love this app. Definitely could stand to have a few more options as far as turning the lost device on with the last bit of stored power in case it is turned off or someone is in range that has your lost/stolen phone but all in all, great app and I never leave home without it. Thanks

I'm so thankful for this app! Because of it, I was able to retrieve my phone that was on the side of the road 6 miles away from me (left it on someone's bumper.) I also love that you have the option to erase the phone remotely, in the worst case scenario. You can even type a message with your info to be seen on the lock screen or play a sound if you go looking for it. This is a wonderful feature to have. Thanks again!

This app is extraordinary. It works well in finding a lost phone. My brother lost his phone. So I signed him in as guest. And I put his Gmail and password in. I was shown 3 phones. After the first one didn't work. I tapped the picture of the second phone, and tapped the sound to play for five minutes. Luckily the phone was home and it beeped in the garage where he found it. I don't know what would have happened if it was lost outside home. But it works great at home.

Is good concept, yah. Directions are woefully disparaging, making correct settings difficult... Far too difficult.

My wife loses her phone all the time. This was our saving grace. Now that the sign-in process requires two-step authentication it is useless. She can't click anything on her phone when she has lost it and borrows mine to find hers. There needs to be an exception made for this service-- where it will locate the device with just a password, but require two-step authorization once the device is found and used. This is terrible oversight by Google.

Lost my phone on vacation. Downloaded this app to find it. I knew my password to my account but Google insisted on 2 step verification using my phone that was lost. Great job Google. 👏 Now this app is useless. Maybe there should be an option to verify it's you in another way? Maybe all the personal questions you had to answer to secure your account would work? But I don't know if it could be that simple.

It only works if you're literally next to the phone. I lost my phone, tried the app and it stayed stuck on locating my device. I retraced my steps and left it on the counter down the street and whole time the app stayed on stupid until I actually found my phone( was using another phone to sign-in the app) went back home, sat down and the app finally says 'Oh its in your hand' totally worthless app

Does NOT let you add another device, the instructions on how to are out of date or for older versions of this app. I have tried without success to actually put my phone on here but will only let my tablet use this service. It used to let me use multiple devices but after updating, no more. Work really good for finding only one device...."suddenly after writing this review, my phone shows up on the app"

Seriously i see no reason as in why the mobile the mobile being trucked should receive an update of it being tracked. It Will make sense if this setting is changed.
