Super easy to use and has helped me write out small coding ideas on the go. Absolutely love the UI and the instructions are easy to follow. I also feel that the prices for added functionality are very reasonable (and those upgrades are completely optional, you have everything you need for free straight out of the box). Best option to start learning how to use Linux or to experiment with coding in a mobile environment that mirrors the usual flow of development on other computers.

Update------- After reading some documents I noticed that I was using termux from app store, now everything is working fine following the right path you really deserves 5 stars. Update finished------- I really would like to try, but when you get the command and paste on termux to install it is saying that links are broken, unavailable or not permitted to access.

Installed it on note 9. Purchased a modded version since it was so inexpensive and had most of what I needed. Been using for about two weeks, so far, very happy. It has audacity installed but haven't figured out how to get it to record anything. Haven't figured out how to get libreoffice installed either . Video and sound for youtube plays great. If It had libreoffice out of the box I would have been forced to give it 5 stars. Still hoping to figure these things out (if there is a solution?). This has greatly mitigated my deep disappointment at Samsung pulling the plug on LoD. BTW, "BVNC free" is what I used from play store that allowed a full screen DeX experience.

I had previously used an app called AnLinux, which offers Linux installation without root. I decided to try this one and it offers so many other features. You can save commands in the app so you can remember sytax more easily, as well as access tutorials for the distributions you install. I had a little trouble installing the desktop environment for Parrot OS and once I reported the error, they quickly responed and helped me figure out the issue. Overall, a solid app with a lot of features.

Update: The developers were able to help me solve my issues with my in app purchase. I went ahead and bought a custom os to show my support. I appreciate the work that has gone into a simple to install linux distro on android, I know some competitor apps and while they work, it's not as easy as this one, They make it easy with just a few steps, and mostly just copy and paste and it does all the work in termux And the best part is that this doesn't require any root and it's true to it's word, This is great for phones like mine (samsung) when rooting is either just impossible due to the architecture or if you are concerned with the tripping Knox and breaking apps that use it.

I had a good experience with the free version of kali😊 but it seems like the screen refresh rate is very slow since while browsing the internet or even playing a video the screen refreshes really slow and the audio is not working with the free version of kali. Everything else is excellent but please fix the screen refresh rate issue (i think u will understand). And never knew that you are from lucknow (i am also a Lucknowite😊). Also.. can i see my internal storage?

I like this app, got premium and I think it was totally worth. Developers keep updating it, and improvements are continuous (very important). Please read the documentation before purchasing, also take into account that the speed of the Linux OS is dependent on how powerful is your phone. Work all this in mind, I really recommend it, if you have a good phone. (Don't expect a gaming computer performance if you have a potato phone).

Hi!!! The app is great !! And together with termux, I can set my Ubuntu bionic and install a Kde desktop. The interface is great , but if it were for the users trying the modded OS for free at least once , that would be awesome! Important Update: the binaries seem not to work anymore 🥺 . I have the latest termux from fdroid, I have android 12. Could you help?

Im still learning Linux, and decided to get this for my Z Fold 3 to use with my bluetooth MnK which worked out very well! Tutorial to install and guides were VERY easy- I paid extra ($1.99) for Premium and then ($1.49) for Ubuntu - after everything was done I got the VNC running using Termux and connected to it through bVNC. Everything worked fine from there (desplay and personalization) Unfortunately the only thing is that my VNC keeps crashing after attempting to use Chromium and Firefox.

Ya andronix is good so far. needs more devellopment, but has definate potential. i do like the cloud saved commands option, for example,as well as the interface. intrigued to see where this project leads. my only qualm is the monitization of anything linux rekated, but hey, we all gotta eat,so i got it to help out,but if you could remove the premium offers after one has purchased it,that would be awesome, thanks.(also, sorry about previous edit,i take back what i said about not giving them credit)

my experience with this app has been great with a very active and helpfull suport team. I had a minor issue with runnning a distro of Parrot and had an issue of being unable to start the required streaming service used to get a video output from linux. I got a response in less than a minute. I would imagine the server is more active at mid day rather than 3:17 AM EST. Anyway, I would strongly recomend this to anyone who swants the funconality of linux but hasnt rooted there phone.

Very nice ideea , but is working only partly, after you fix each bug which you have to search for on internet you can install the Linux, obviously if you not used all your install 's for that day in between while you was hunting for bugs so you have to come back next day if you have energy to do it. Finally I done it after 2 days of waiting

interface looks REALLY good, but sadly functionality relies on termux, which means minimum android 7, disallowing a lot of people from using it, despite being able to download this app... I know termux makes a lot of this stuff much easier to achieve, but still...

I am enjoying Ubuntu on my Android smartphone. I like this app. I like the UI. Very clean and smooth. I think you are doing an awesome job. Keep it up! Thank you! However it needs some work. I have 12 gb of RAM in my phone but the Linux was still lagging. Is there a way to adjust the RAM size for Ubuntu? I have installed Ubuntu LXQT and it took me about 2 GB of storage. Awesome! But, the my computer icon didn't work.

Great work devs, I would like to give you a small suggestion about the app. Could you please try to add a Start and stop buttons to actually start and stop the Linux os instead of typing the command again and again into termux to achieve this. Also the VNC server should startup at the same time so that we can directly connect to it and start using the OS. Thanks in advance. cheers.

This allows me to use the latest full desktop version of Chromium and Debian on a Lenovo M10 arm tablet. Along with a bluetooth keyboard/trackpad and mouse. The touchscreen also works with the virtual keyboard/mouse. Everything just worked first time. Bluetooth, trackpad, sound, network etc. No fiddling around .Now I can use the latest developer tools and lighthouse on chromium as well as Visual Studio etc (bundled in the Debian modded version). Incredible! Smooth and simple installation.

Good application, does what it says.. Paid for the premium. I don't mind paying for a useful application (there was earlier another app for older Android, paid for that too). Have paid for a lot of applications. For me an advert free experience is most important. Even if their free app was advert free (dont know if it is, or not) - I would have paid. This is the least any developer can expect. Rs. 140/- is not much. Less than a week of cost of Tea (in India) or less than two coffee in the west. Hope this app stays in development for a long time. Even if it does not, I don't think how my money can not be recovered even if I use it for 6 months!

Rut. B. Dec 8, 2019

I used the premium modded OS which was a lot easier to work with and just worked out of the box. Highly reccomend to get a full OS experience on your tablet without root. It's so cost effective that it's just a no brainer. I'm not an expert with linux or anything like that and they did a lot here to make the experience easy to use. Before you go down the path of sinking a ton of time to fix linux after you installed it... spend the $2 and save yourself a bunch of time.

Lig. Oct 28, 2021

Works very well, a single command and boom, it is installed. However, it does take up quite alot of space and is also very laggy so a good device is recommended. I'm just trying to find out how to set up the audio.

Ace. W. Jun 11, 2020

This app is Excellent! Used it to turn my old phone into a fully functional Ubuntu PC... so if you cast the screen and connect a external bluetooth keyboard you can use it as a desktop. Support and documentation is excellent. Multiple distros... Perfect!

Luc. G. Feb 22, 2021

I paid for premium and bought the modded OS of Manjaro. They said that they're distribution had better performance and that VSCode was working perfectly. Both aren't true. I am running a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, and VSCode keeps crashing, the environment is very slow. It's a pain to code with, better off just using an android code editor off the playstore in Samsung Dex. I would like a refund, since nothing promised actually worked.

Cap. T. May 13, 2021

The UI of the app itself looks great and it does all that we need it to do. The actual installs as installed on Termux are good enough, and suffer from the limitations of proot (nothing to do with AndroNix itself) and being arm based (again, nothing to do with AndroNix). It does all that I need it to do and more, it's possible to VNC into the VM (if it's okay to call it that?) from another computer, which is nice to have.

ABH. G. Jun 15, 2020

Very smooth, just installed my first ubuntu moded os like for 110 rs and premium membership for 140 rs and I am very impressed by it. Works flawlessly on my note pro 8. No lags, no ads, no gesture problem. Got internet, watched you tube on chrome browser. No audio problems, setup my email account and it works fine.

Kan. May 12, 2020

On the Donation Page of your website, two paragraphs down it says "he root reason that why we hate ads". Your Missing the letter "T" in the word "The". Just thought I'd let you know. Other than that, and that's in no way a problem in the slightest. Love the app! Keep up the good work!

Makes getting a Linux System up on android super easy. After the fall of Linux on Dex, I turn to this app to make the most of my android setups. Using their super simple copy and paste method, I was able to setup a system and get real work done. The stability of Termux plus the simplicity of Andronix is a winning combination. I highly recommend this app. The custom built distros are excellent.

Dus. H. Jul 28, 2020

I wish they had a 4 and a half, or a quarter option. Cuz that would fit perfectly for this app. It works great, but I can't get the termux app control line command to work right.
