the app always disconnect when I lock the phone for few minutes .. this is disappointing .. do I have to keep the screen on watching the app to make sure it will not disconnect!!
I tried both hcl apps none worked properly. Andy Chat just connects without issues. Thank you very much for your time and this awesome app
Can login, but app crashes when opening a chat with others
Does not work on Jio data connection. Says host unreachable. Other data connections work fine. Please fix it
Able to login and see other who are online, however not able to chat with them, meaning my chat doesn't reach the other end and vice versa. Pls fix it ASAP

Not working from yesterday
Installed it on my Android (Nougat OS) phone. It worked for 3 days and then stopped loading my contacts/buddy list. Now it will show as logged in but I can't chat, won't load my contacts, and my contacts see me as offline. Doesn't make sense.
It is the most intrusive app I have ever used. If it disconnects for any reason it jumps to the front of whatever you are doing to tell you so and wants you to reconnect. Have it send a little notification to the header or something. I mean Quip IM was crude but never got in the way like this one. And trying to turn it off Holy $#%@ it's easier to go to the app manager and force stop it.
It gets the job done and I could give it 5 stars if it did proper notifications and connection management. *** Pros: - connects to my company's sametime serverr - easy to use *** Cons: - no proper visual clues of yet unseen chats. It sounds and vibrates but I MUST open the chats tab to see if there is something new. It DOES add a notification on my lockscreen and notification tray but its main icon does not change to reflect pending messages - *ANNOYING* if it fails to connect by any reason it goes to the login form AND STOPS trying to reconnect. *** Suggestions: - mimic most other chat clients and place some marking on its icon if there are unread messages - also mark the chats tab if there are pending messages - once a successful connection happens, if it is then lost instead of retrying a given number of times and then presenting the login form, start doing PERIODIC retries (e.g. once each 10 secs/configurable) and only present the login form if an authentication error happens (or the user asks for it)
I was using this app since long. Suddenly facing problem, disconnects frequently showing pop-up "host unreachable" Please Help on sos basis.
Good for work chat but needs to be updated.
After upgrade it is very horrible to work on this...

Hi, does this work with group chats?
I use this application on a regular basis. It does its job well. The check box on the login screen "save password" isn't just for saving the password but for all login credentials. This should be changed or the check box should say something else. Otherwise it's a very good application.
Dev is very responsive to emails. I wanted to send praise and a donation but the dev declined because they want to keep Andy chat non commercial. Still, I thought the candidness and honesty speak to the values of this dev team and the quick response is appreciated.
When I have shared my view, I was immediately contacted by the team about the issue and they fixed it really quick. Now I can access Andy as before with more better look and feel. Keep it up!!
No incoming message alerts AFTER updating to 2.0.3 was resolved by uninstalling / reinstalling. This is a great FREE app that I use every day. The support seems highly motivated. I highly encourage the use of this app.
Differentiation of conversation is very bad
I am unable to select a specific chat and delete it... i can do only remove all chats.. otherwise 5 star
Got it.. the status is at the very bottom of the screen which can actually be at the top with other tabs.. Anyways thanks guys..
I guess I had pretty low expectations, but was very pleased that it worked every bit as well as the original IBM version. It seems to show status easily enough. Transmits emoticons.
