Angband

This is one of those nostalgia games that even to this day is still enjoyable. Very deep and complex gameplay if your willing to pt in the time and effort to learn to play it. Only complaint I really have is that the controls are a little wonky to get used to on a phone because you can't play this game in landscape. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes rogue like games, or just wants a real fun, challenging, addictive gameplay.

While it does indeed keep to the feeling of playing it on PC , those controls come a bit over the head and seem more complicated than they are . Pathos(nethack version) abstractized the controls quite well and powder controls are actually plain great .

This game does not age at all. Still fun, still frustratingly difficult. The learning curve isn't as steep as you would think so check it out.

Couldn't move, no control pad popped up with directions. The keyboard showed up, but did nothing useful. The help screen was even less helpful.

I used to go to my local library and play nethack on their computers...this is even better! Controls are a bit fiddly but you get used to it as you play.. (Hence 4 stars)

Absolutely amazing and complex. The controls were a bit hard to get used to at first, and you need to read a lot of guides to know whats going on but after all that its worth it

Unfortunately port is not suitable for touch devices. It's too hard to play on the phone

The software keyboard is a good addition. If you are like me and can't figure out how to access it in a touchscreen: hold down your finger for a long press and you'll get a menu that opens the virtual keyboard. Also, use the numpad section to do directional actions. 2 = down 4= left etc

I'm not sure when this came out but I have searched for Angband a number of times on Google play. I can't say how pumped I am to have this available on my smart phone!!!

I won't bash the game. I think I would like it if it worked on my cheap phone.

I can't get tired of this game. This port's only problem is that it cannot support edited .txt files, so you can't customize the game.

Never is it so boring to play over and over and over again despite the recurring mushroom sickness you almost always get the first time around you wander into the ever changing dungeon. If you really are a true adventurer, then prove that you actually are in this journey!

I spent hours in college playing this game. Please update it to the latest versions of angband! And maybe a few more alt versions. 3.4 is great but a lot of fixes have been introduced in more recent versions

It works very well on my G2. If you know Angband from other platforms, or other roguelike games such as Nethack, you'll enjoy this.

For gamers who like dungeon crawling and/or Tolkien works, this is a must!

Good port but please consider adding the transparent keyboard that dcss has. It also has red arrows on the directional yuhjklbn keys to help with fast movement. Without that keyboard you are forced to play in portrait mode which is significantly harder to see in.

Works fine if you're familiar with the pc version. Best played with a physical keyboard, but works fine without one too (takes a bit longer though)

I would love to play this game...if I could! There is no d pad and when I try to reassign direction keys it won't open keyboard. Plz fix so I can play properly.

Reason why it isn't 5 stars is because its not up to date. but its a great port of a classic. Will you ever update to version 4.0.4? I would like to switch away from the ASC II graphics. Not a big on them imo

Opaque keyboard please!! So I can play in landscape without covering half of the screen

And now I can play on a phone or tablet! I do have a request though - Any chance of an alphanumeric keyboard with a number pad on the right, rather than having to switch between alphabetic and numeric/symbolic keyboards?

Please could you make the keys similar Martins Descent? That game has the best layout for a game of this type. Please?

It was ok but the touch controls on the screen above the keyboard are invisible and was incredibly hard to control
