This app is very close to being excellent. I have evaluated the 6 most popular ones, including fishbrain, finygo and carpio, and this app is the closest to getting everything around the basics right. With just a few small upgrades and touch ups in a few areas this app will have the foundation to outperform all the others in the future, and more! At the moment this app comes up well short on the statistics and analysis capability.How about adding 'best trips' as another statistic performance output? Seems quite obvious to me. I would love to take part in beta testing and improvements.
So far I'm really liking it! Real easy to use. The only thing I wish I could have is some more breakdown in the lure section. I wish I could select, say, Tube Jig and then tag the color to it, instead of having to make a new bait for each color combo I have. It's nothing major, I just wish I could see that white is a common catch factor, not just "Oh, my white/green and my white/pink both have high catch rates."
App is just what I was looking for. No unnecessary functions, no ads. Simply perfect. I give four stars just because UX wise the app is a bit messy. If you think there's a room for improvement I can help you redesigning it and making it much more user friendly, since I'm a UI/UX designer over 10+ years. For free of course :)
This app has good bones but could benefit from some changes. I would like to be able to list multiple species caught in a single day. Also I would like to be able to customize the weather options to include tidal information and ocean conditions.
Simple and covers all the basics. Would be good to be able to enter catches within a trip instead of entering catches separately then adding them to a trip.
Excellent app, better than all I've tried so far. Possible improvement for the future is to select imperial or metric for each unit type. For example, I measure fish in lbs, length in cm, speed in mph and temperature in Celcius. Awkward I know lol but would make my life much easier. No other app I've used has done this so this app still tops the lot 👍
This app is not intuitive at all. I have reentered information numerous time only to find that it is reporting 0 bass caught on the trip. Now I cannot delete the erroneous entries because it states that it is in use.....by what??? Cool idea but frustrating to use.
I can't seem to put more than 1 kind of species on trips. I have to do separate trips for each species Update 11/6/2020 The app worked great. I've logged over 60 trips and over 200 trout. Very easy to use and helpful when reviewing previous trips. A must for the active angler
Once I got to grips with the logic of adding records, the app does most things I would want it to do. Have contacted developer with suggestion, and got a very rapid and positive response. Five stars will come with a few tweaks and added functionality.
Still learning all the features and inputting lures and baits would be nice if you could add a "rig" used with live or cut bait for us catfishing the majority of the time. But so far a solid app
Need to be able to change your trip start and end times. Also be able to add gear, rod,reel,line. Otherwise I would have given you five stars. I really like this App.
love the simplicity of use but with the detail it has. would suggest adding tide and moon options to the individual catch details if possible. means alot for us jewfish anglers!
Nice app. Unfortunately the weather fetch does not work for me. An automated backup function would also be a great feature.
Application I was looking for. Does what I need. Could be nice to have possibility to register groundbite as well.
Only things I would change would be to have the back button save data instead of erasing it, and enable the creation of new fishing spots in the catch menu. I wade alot of rivers/streams (with a handy and functional waterproof case for my phone), and can cover a lot of ground in a day, and where I am at is a pretty important data point. I have all but finished an entry only to hit the back button w/o thinking to add the fishing spot and erased everything too many times. Otherwise outstanding!
