The micro transactions are absolutely egregious. There's also a ridiculous amount of ads. It'll give you an option to watch an ad for an extra life and if you skip it you'll get a 30 second ad anyway with no reward cool, thanks. You'll hit the wall fast and then all progression is based on random loot boxes. It's a far cry from the first one, which is a shame because the underlying gameplay is fun. It's just ruined by the insane microtransactions, ads, and ridiculous streaks for everything.
This game, rovio, is the best one yet! The birds are more useful than previous iterations, the hat feature is nice, and things like arena, clan wars, boot camp, and daily challenge really spice up gameplay. However, things i would like to see are hats for extra birds as well, since that would power them up even more. Overall, great game, and i love to keep seeing more.
Horrible! This is what happens when a corporation gets greedy with a good thing. The amount of advertising videos is rediculous. The game play is sacrificed with optional game advertising, as well. You want to buy some jems, how about now, unyielding and relentless. You're limited in the amount of retrying a board too, unless you want to purchase some jems, which have a rediculous price. The side pick a card games and hat purchase stuff is garbage. I've also noticed glitches. Waste of time. Sham
So let me be clear, I LOVE THIS GAME. BUT, I've experienced a TON of issues lately with Ads or errors and it's getting frustrating! I spend real money so with everyone's money maybe some should go towards fixing your bugs! I have to write to support to get compensation, which they so graciously do, but let's try to fix the problems with the ads freezing so I can actually enjoy the game again!
Unfair; waste of time. Different designs for the same level when you play it for the second time; can be understood for events, but not for journey. You HAVE to buy through to get some achievements. Screen goes blank sometimes after the ad. Some birds fail to perform in their "abilities". I'm deleting the game. It was good at first; but now it has become frustrating. Such games are meant for relaxation, calm; but this game is being completely opposite. Not expected from such a great franchise.
Fun, but It takes too much time to advance. The number 2 pop ups and the fact that the game doesn't advance without me having to touch the screen after awards adds to my frustration. The flock power randomly decreases for some reason. I'm a newer player though and still trying to figure it out.
I loved the original Angry Birds, but this version is not subtle in the way it makes the challenges just a touch too hard. You have to watch commercials for everything you want to do and to actually finish the challenges. As a non paying player I understand that commercials are important, but the game feels rigged to make money either by advertising or by players who just want to play the game. I'm still trying to play the original, but the game mostly just crashes now.
Great game, but what really bothers me is the following: boss levels and stuff like that were made way too hard, and almost the whole game just screams that players HAVE to spend diamonds to get 3 extra birds on boss levels and stuff like that. Please simplify something like that, it takes away the fun of the game a lot. Otherwise the game is really great and it's a lot of fun. But like I said please mind the difficulty of the game, I'm not the only person who finds this too hard...
At first the game the game is fun, but over time this fun starts to dissappear after realizing that it's much more different than the classic. There is a life meter for some reason, it takes an insane amount of gems to get another bird if you fail, the ads are annoying and long, it forces you to keep coming back to tend to challenges and power bonuses unlike the classic, and finally the huge amount of notifications I get to buy something. The only thing I like is the art design and graphics.
Game is a buggy mess. Gave 3 stars because it is still a fun game to enjoy but the app is barely working at the current state it is in. All forced adds freeze the app. The sound volume cuts out sometimes and will not work again until the app is restarted. Same with the forced adds must restart the app to unfreeze it. Not sure what is going on in your development team but doing a proper job is not one of them. I know it is not easy to work on some code but i used to play this it worked before.
Good game overall. Becomes hard to play as you progress. They seem to really be in to micro transactions and it becomes necessary to buy "rubies" or whatever they are just to retry a level or to have enough lives to get through intentionally skewed, over difficult levels relative to the 'lives' you have. It's just tedious and all the fun starts to go away.
Another example of a beautiful game ruined by greed. The concept of lives is pretty much a brainless attempt to force the player to watch ads over and over and i really don't understand why a level is never built the same, it changes everytime because reasons. Also, why can't you choose what bird you can use? The outcome of the level can radically change if you can have the right one for a specific situation, even on tutorials you almost never get the bird you should practice with. Disappointed
You cant buy upgrades directly and game has 3 different currencies. King levels are way too Hard, designed to force customers to spend money. Upgrading birds require insane amount of feathers after level 40. Rewards dont improve when you rank up and its impossible to upgrade birds without spending money. Upgrades require a fortune. This ensures your defeat in competitions. Yet you can play the main play mode up to level 300 without spending money, hence not a complete failure
The game is fun but slow to move up. If you want to move up more quickly you have to spend lots of money. Very challenging at times and frustrating to. Great graphics and sound. Like the destruction of structures. Enjoy fellowship.
Really addictive, the levels are fun and easy, it's awesome you can connect to other devices using Facebook, clans are cool since you can win rewards with multiple people, arena is cool because you battle someone around the world, etc. I would consider downloading this game! Play adventure mode and you'll get addicted.
Loved the game, the only problem I've faced is that it doesn't launch in full screen on hole-punch displays.. even after force enabling for the app.. there's a big black bar on the side, it's annoying and affects the immersiveness.. make it so it adapts to hole punches..
Too much ad driven marketing, can't get anything without watching videos or pass a level with the given birds etc. also almost impossible to win arena after diamond rank the opponents are just way to high leveled or bots, team events are fun, hence 2 stars. Overall to succeed you have to play multiple times each day for quite a long time.
It was a good game. But now it was the time that this happened. And this isn't the first time since this happens. Fix this problem right now! Everytime when I was in the middle of the game (daily challenge, arena, clan, mighty eagle camp, etc.), It kept on kitting me out of the game. And I am getting really irritated, irritable, sick and tired of it! During the next update, you'd better fix the game! 😡😡😠😠😠😤😤😤😤😤
This is a great game, and it is just as good as I remember it. I only have one issue with this that makes me a bit upset. Sometimes the game mutes itself, and I can't seem to turn the sound back on. It may be the tablet I'm using, but please check to see if this bug occurs on any other platform (at the moment, I'm playing on a Meeberry tablet). If this isn't the case, then I apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you.
While the core gameplay is fun and reminiscent of the original , there is alot of random rewards , currencys , and even mini games that are all tied into trying to get you to watch ads or buy in-game currencies. It seems the main gameplay isn't entirely the star of the show , but is simply part of this plan to get you to generate them money. It should be much simpler with less gimmicky rewards and focus more on challenging the player with complex , puzzle style gameplay that we grew to love.
Initially loved this game and concept but for weeks we have struggled with every aspect of game play. From freezing up to shutting itself off during play loosing spells and lives as a result. When the videos work they are usually the same "Emeralda" video that looks like it was made for a little kid. Disappointed and frustrated that they felt they had to change this game. We even uninstalled and reinstalled in an effort to restore the game we enjoy loosing all our data and rank only to find it is worse than before! Reluctantly time to look for something else!
I like the game but it's a little glitchy. For example, the red bird saying "let's dress up" has been stuck on corner of the game screen for over 2 levels and it blocks me from seeing the launch pad. It's a little irritating but other than that the game play is fantastic. Just need to work out a bug or two.
Had it for years and used to play it while travelling(planes, trains, busses etc...) Now I rarely play it because with Covid I travel a lot less. So for about 2 years it was idle on my device. I started playing again and the videos ads are so buggy that they hang the program. Not worth the time to play it because of this bug. Will definitely be removing it now.
I would like to give this game some praise, but this game has cons. The Health Recharge System is stupid, makes it frustrating whenever you lose a life and will ask you to pay gems whenever you run out. Power Ups feel very cheep to win a level, at times you might succumb to using them. The Level Design is RNG (cool-ish) yet dumb, some of the stages feel and may be impossible without a specific bird or with power ups. It falls the same fate as PvZ 2, but less fun and enjoyable. Play if desperate.
Nostalgic, I'm assuming the characters now have a larger basis of story since the movie is out, I wouldn't know though I didn't watch it. But hey the app kills time and it's mildly entertaining. Not much different from the first. It does lag a bit (ALOT) though. 2/10. 5/5 stars (so this could get noticed). Oh and yes we're still trying to get those eggs back 😐👎
Angry Birds 2 is so close to being the frenetic and addictive gameplay we all know and love from the original games, and yet it has some rough edges that are hard to look past. The lives system works well enough, but isnt anywhere near as satisfying as it was to restart levels in two taps to complete or 3 star a level
it's really fun but the amount of ads and it increasingly getting you to try and buy things every 5 minutes is tedious. loved the originals, especially Star Wars and Space. sure this one looks better, but the originals were just better, putting fun over cash grabs
This takes me back...all the fun of the original. It's free to play, and you get the choice to watch an ad here and there to get additional rewards, but it's not intrusive and is entirely your choice. It has the nostalgia of the first one back a few years ago but feels smoother, devices are better, and has a lot of additional stuff to do and win like cosmetics and levelling up birds. Would be epic if they redid the star Wars and space ones too! Fun and fast little game!
