Android 6 (Marshmallow) is compatible with Anki OVERDRIVE. However, due to changes in Bluetooth permissions with Android 6, the app may not be able to detect the Anki cars properly.To resolve this issue, go to Settings in the OS--> Location and turn on location services. Your Anki OVERDRIVE cars will now be detected properly in the app.

VERY good game!! I have 4 supercars and my 5th one is coming soon! It's been my favourite app so far and I can't wait to get the supertrucks! Keep up the good work there Edit: now I have 10 vehicles (except from nuke phantom and x52 ICE)it's good but I don't know if this happens to every one but when all the cars turn grey on the choose car screen I don't know what happens. But I know you can't fix it because you ran out of money I just have to go with it and power of my tablet 2 times to fix it
I love this game, bought the cars and all that goes with it. The only issues are that some of the cars' battery lives are laughably short and that the game seems to think I have two cars that I don't, and it keeps filling up my goals section with goals I cannot complete because I do not have GroundShock or Skull. If there was a way to fix this, it'd be appreciated. :)
A really good game which combines Real life to videogames, with tech that feels like the future. The gameplay is brilliant, but my issues come with the actual cars. My skull model has a missing tyre, and although I replaced it with something else the official part replacement doesn't work anymore. The car now has less grip and drives fanatically. There needs to be more cars than just the six, maybe an orange and yellow car like in anki DRIVE. Other than that, brilliant. Cant wait to play more!
Slot Cars on STEROIDS! We bought this year's ago and surprised my son it on Christmas. It is an absolutely awesome experience... but as with anything that is bluetooth/wifi, it's only as good as your connection. So if you have great wifi/Bluetooth you'll love this game. Yes the game has been abandoned by the developer but thankfully the app still works. It still fun to play and years later EVERYTHING still works.
Since I wrote the review Anki has shut it's doors for good. Too bad we won't get any updates. Compared to the polished game components, the app still lacks miles behind. it's like using a 90s PC game interface. I have a OnePlus 6. the app interface extends beyond the screen so i can't i actually see parts of the UI all around the edges. I actually had to downgrade the app version to get a better gameplay.
Very fun game, great sfx and very simple. However, the app is not available on iPod 7 and there's no QR code on the box for easy access. Very disappointed... But as mentioned earlier, it's a very fun game.
Truly a shame. Anki's legacy started with a brilliant idea, the now forgotten Anki Drive. That idea was then pushed past its own limits with the original Anki Overdrive. That idea then became groundbreaking, reaching its peak with the Supertrucks. Truly a technological marvel; ambitious, sophisticated, and just downright fun. Then the Fast and Furious update released, and the idea crashed in one of the worst updates I've ever seen. Now the idea is left to rot in the shadows of its former self.
A pretty fun game to play just one major issue. My app doesn't sense my cars even though my bluetooth does. I even go into the settings to pair the cars up directly with the bluetooth but it doesn't pair. Could the developers please input a separate setting for pairing the cars, cus the app itself doesn't do it.
Omg love this game! Liked a suped up version of old slot cars and I'm a car guy and loved that stuff. Love racing and such. Only thing is that it seems you absolutely need Wi-Fi to use it, which I grew up without. Oh you also need a bit of flat and clean space. Like vacuum very well beforehand or use a super large basement table or something.
An amazing game totally worth the money. But for some reason it only let's me use 3 out of my 4 cars at 1 time. I wish anki would tell me what to do. But other than that it's an amazing experience and a great show of modern technology.
The app needs a lot of work. It locks up randomly on all my Android devices(Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Tab S2 and Galaxy S5) mostly while in the garage. On my Galaxy S7 edge the phone gets so hot I can't hold it in my hand after 3 races. You can't even exit the application without force closing it - come on devs.
Digital Dream Labs needs to improve the driving mechanics in this app, too many jerky movements, spinning out, and crashing. Anki racing sets are the best in the business, but are held back by no improvements or new hardware in years. That along with the replacement battery issue, along with the tire replacement issue and you have a company that has forgotten about their car sets to concentrate on robots.
I really like this, but there is one issue. The HUD is slightly zoomed in, therefore I can not reach top speed as some of the throttle is out of the phone screen. Please fix this.
A great idea, but the implementation is terribly flawed. Connections to the cars are difficult to establish and keep, to the point where it becomes painful to play (if you manage to get that far). To be fair, it works better on my kid's Amazon tablet, but we really want to play together, and can't. What a pity!
It's a great game. I've had it for 4-5 years now but I see a lot of people saying to upgrade the interface, I have the same problem as the app wasn't made for android 9 and 10, this is the only problem I have with it. To anyone who reads this. Anki went bankrupt at the end of 2019 and is now owned/run by Digital Dream Labs who are upgrading tires and batteries for free aswell as working some improvements such as bringing back the 2.6 version of the games software/interface.
