Ant Evolution - ant terrarium and life simulator

There is potential here for a really great game. For now it's fine, when it works. I've gone several hour stretches where I can't load my saved file at all. I assume that's because it can't load an ad. On a related note, I don't love the periodic, forced ads. It has to save, load an ad (which interrupts audio from my book, podcast, or music apps), and I have to close it at the end. Each time. It gets old. Speaking positively, the variety of ants is cool, and I enjoyed the red anthill scenario.

It's great a foundation but needs to be expanded upon more. I basically beat the game in a single day but I had fun the entire time. It needs more content in short. One thing really frustrating is that the ant workers refuse to go get the insect corpses in the 4 corners of the map so I had like 60 corpses just stack on top of each other, not being touched at all. Also, the limitation of 3000 ants makes it a bit frustrating as well but I get it's there to save data. All around, great game tho.

So far, this app is pretty good! I like the art, the music is great, the ai could use some improvements. But still, it's pretty good. Please do consider updating sound effects though. The beeping and clicking get annoying sometimes. It's also a tad annoying how late soldiers seen to realize an enemy is near, but the AI is still improving.

I haven't played for too long but I really like the game so far. If you are even considering it just download it . The ads do come up every so often but it warns you and as soon as it happens you can hit the back button and get out of it. Really good game. Would really really want to see a colony system were I can make more then one colony that would be amazing.

1) The "missions" button is too small and close to the screen edge to tap on certain phones. Button should be larger and a few pixels to the left. 2) Game is way too hard. Even "creative mode" which is $2 is too difficult to progress to the last few upgrades. I can't imagine how difficult "hard mode" would be, likely completely unpayable.

Ads everywhere. My god the ads. The autosave is nice, but a bit too frequent. The concept for this game has a lot of potential, and with a bit of work, it could be something special. For example, it feels like things move very slowly. And the upgrades are nice but.. There is so very little to upgrade. The enemies are varied, but after just the beginning of the game, they stop posing a threat and feel more like free food than any actual threat to the nest. A bit disappointed.

Great idea and game mechanics are fine. Unfortunately the game starts to lag a lot as soon as you get even a few hundred ants. Worst of all is the constant advertising that interrupts the game ever minute. At first it's just picture ads, but soon it turns into 5 second videos. The frequency of the ads and the bad lagging made the game quite unplayable for me, as soon as the game asks asks you to make 1000 ants.

I really like the game so far! The ads are fine, especially since they're short and you can opt to watch more for in-game resources. I like the different bugs, mayber add other things to mix it up (like birds or something) as well as more ants! I think it'd be super cool to be able to switch from outside the anthill to inside the colony, and even see the "queen". Maybe more features, like having your ants build structures and more exploration? Overall very nice game!

While this game was fun at the beginning, sadly, I wasannoyed by a huge amount of ads and a huge spike in difficulty. Hornets are overpowered for the when they are introduced at. However, I enjoyed the idea of being invaded by other creatures. The siege game mode is terrible. It costs so much to go into it and without a tutorial or any real explanation to it, its easy to loose a lot of resources which could go into defense. Also, not being able to upgrade things further and it became stale.

Was great up to 3000 ants. You remove the ant cap and you suffer with really low frame rates. I would love to invest more time and progress further but I simply cannot handle it. Suggestions are. Stop trying to render everything at once. You don't have a zoom feature so don't render entities outside the screen. Make a larger map so the ants aren't so clustered into a small space. Add some graphic options e.g. animations on/off, and visual hit counters on/off. The biggest downfall is the lag.

An excellent base which has the potential to be an awesome game. I noticed the controls in the bottom right weren't very responsive, doesn't have a polished feel... It was fun enough, so I bought the premium pack which made it more enjoyable and just had a fun time, overall, learning the game. Please keep developing the game, it has excellent potential!!! Definitely keeping this one on my phone.

Pretty fun, early game is fun and challenging. Had issues with way points when attacking ant hills. Waypoint auto locked on enemy ant hill and would not let me change it. All ants died because of it...not the best experience but not horrible. The ads are very intrusive, feels like more ads than game play. Hopefully will get better with patches. Fun for what it is.

Good, but needs more varied content. Start of the game is very slow and very repetitive. Theres no reason to buy Acid, Guard and Flying ants as spamming soldiers once the enemies get close is the only strategy. There's also a lack of upgrades, and miners are useless once you have all upgrades. Very little challenge even in late waves. Game has nothing new to offer past wave 60, and the game also slows down heavily due to lag.

I love Ants, but not Ads. As much as I love Ants, this junk is too bad. The gameplay itself I great, but the constant Ads makes it not worth it. Also, it seems I CANNOT press the buttons on the bottom of the screen. My phone is not broken, and yet, I can't interact with the Buttons on the bottom. If it's not finished, just tell us it's not finished. Bad Game, play if you want Ads.

The biggest issue with the game is the fact that whatever system that's setup to display ads. Is clearly tied to the framerate, so running the game with higher than 30fps spams you with ads. With the abritrary system in place for evolution, I was expecting more RTS elements such as unit control. Games definitely rough with quite a few kinks. Again the worst part is the frequency of the ads, no point in having them if people are simply going to quit the first hour in.

I like the game. It is kind of relaxing dispite ants being annoying IRL. I think it would be cool if you made a system so that when a soldier kills an enemy, it makes a large AOE that tells workers with no other task go to that food source. It would make the disassembly of my fallen enemies much more efficient and ensure a food source doesnt sit with one worker picking at it for so long it despawns. Also, could you use a bolder text font, the current one doesnt make full characters

Ant evolution is pretty good. I enjoy the satisfaction of seeing the many ants crawl on the screen, and being able to control large numbers at a time while also protecting my anthill from spiders. The only issue is that lack of a clear way of going about this, there is no direction or actual real goals, only gathering ants which is all you're going to do anyways, nor does it give a clear way of unlocking upgrades.

Rather simple and somewhat bare bones ant sim type game, but far from the bottom of the barrel. Enemy waves are frequent enough to make keeping up a soldier population a serious chore, but not to a truly frustrating degree. Very few events, but higher ant variety than most in the genre. Periodic ads meshes poorly with this type of game imo, and saving causing a notable pause in gameplay places it behind most competitors, but neither are frequent enough to be a problem. Flawed, but overall solid.

Game is pretty good! Although some parts aren't realistic (like how workers don't defend the colony and go through enemies) but for the most part the game is relaxing and enjoyable. The way fights work have you wondering if your ants are gonna make it through the day. However I hope that the siege system is worked on since it's a bit confusing for me. Good game and has high potential. Suggestions: Add the ability to zoom in or out, and please add upgrades/damage upgrade for soldiers and other attacking units and to other ants/anthill as well. Better graphics and mechanics will be appreciated. Bigger map and more resources will be good as well. Ads are sometimes annoying and can ants just drag insects to the mound instead of picking pieces of it and some of my worker ants are just roaming around not doing anything, please fix this. Before I critique, I'd just like to say that this game is super fun and addicting, it's so simple, yet you can play it for hours watching your ant colony grow, it's a bit slow at the start, but then it gets really good after 100 worker ants in or so (which isn't as much as it sounds). However, there are still a few things I'd think would be a great addition to the game in future updates. Some being a fast forward button, a button to zoom out maybe? Stuff like that, other than that, amazing game!

Very good idle game. It doesn't have many bugs... But many bugs. (See what i did there) i like the upgrades and enemies and i see this game having lots of potential. Id like more upgrades for ants and different bosses that come maybe once a week or every 2 weeks like a rat, snake, and a mega boss like a raccon. A story mode would be nice. Also being able to have more than 1 file would be cool too. Thanks developers for making such an awesome game yet simple game. Also you guys should advertise

Just started and so far I like the app, problem is the random ads that it forces you to watch. Really aggravates me. Id for sure keep playing if that was delt with there is already an option to watch ads for resources, maybe make the random ads pop up as a question like watch add for x about of speed for x seconds, or x amount of resources. Id not only watch more, but wouldn't be as annoyed that way.

Great game. Ive been experiencing a few problems with this game on my phone such as: battery life, frame rate drops, and it taking to long to start up the game. These are reality expected because of the amount of things on screen. but if theres anyway of fixing would make this game all the better.

Really good game, but there still are things I think need to be fixed. The fact you can be attacked by four spiders at once near the beginning of the game is annoying but is a good challenge. I'm playing on normal and don't even dare play hard mode. Realy like the game though, it's intresting.

Too many ads. And the enemy waves are so unrealistic. Never seen an ant simulation that has so many enemies attacking at once. And spiders, hornets, beetles do not work together.....ever...in real life... Soldiers die way too easily. You have to constantly watch reward ads if you want enough food to keep enough soldiers alive to defend. I thought this game had potential at first, but after playing for a while I found out I was wrong. The UI is also horrible. Game needs a lot of work. Uninstalled
