It is confusing to me. It says to update but on update it says that it is not compatible with my device. Then why is it in there if everyone else is saying that I don't really need it. Like the girl said put the stuff we don't need in our phones in the cloud account that is associated with my account. Everyone who has a phone has a cloud account of some sort
For those who don't know what this is. Ant is short for antenna. This is the software that the device uses to manage its ability to transmit and received data via 3g 4g 5g etc with out it your phone will not function as fast as it is capable of. Would be nice if the description explained this better to avoid user confusion.
Actually works very well. I wasn't sure what it was for or where it came from, but after Google'ing found out it is pretty important for connecting some of my wireless devices such as fitness trackers and watches. It's a pretty slick app that operates in the background, with low overhead.
Don't use it. I have asked to have it removed from my phone but they just reply saying they don't understand. I have disabled it for many months and I do not see any performance issues with my phone. It is very suspect that in the description of the app, they say it is not a fraud or stealing info. If they need to say this then you do not need it on your device.
Bloatware! This "app" gives itself permission and access to your phone. I have gone back and forth turning off the app, clearing the data, and turning off all the permissions it gave itself only to go back and see they all magically turned themselves back on! This is where your info gets leaked to overseas scammers.
This is a built-in app. It already exists on your phone when you purchase it. It won't update automatically unless you have auto update on. So stop complaining about it. It allows you to synch with ant+ enabled devices nothing more. If you don't have this then your phone won't operate properly with ant+ devices. And did I mention it's buult-in already on most phones?
The ANT+ plugins are only useful if you use fitness apps or a connected watch. I understand that many people are interested in these and it's easier to include them by default. But... they should be allowed to be removed. And some ANT plugins DO use battery quite a lot.
Not given logical reason for this unnecessary need on my device. If communication between devices via bluetooth is not needing said app then what is this purpose. I can use all devices when disabled or vague "uninstalled" options... sorry not sorry. If I can be proven or believed otherwise then I'll stand corrected. Till then GET OFF MY DEVICES IF ITS NOT NECESSARY FOR ITS FUNCTIONAL USE. Thanks, but no thanks!
The app probably deserves 5 stars but it has an annoying shortcoming as there is no way (at least as I can find) to select and delete multiple open/closed notifications. Since I use my garage door as my primary access to the front of the house, I spend quite a bit of time every few days selecting and deleting each notification manually.
Annoying Icon. Would be nice if it did what it was suppose to and enable the wireless devices already built into your phone. Re Enable My FM Radio. So we are not forced to waste data. I know my S8 has an FM radio because i can use it when rooted.
Don't need it and don't want it yet I cannot uninstall nor disable it. The disable process in the app description does not work on Android 10 and to top it all off it's not even optimized for my device. I'm done with Samsung product as I should have the ability to control what is on my device I paid a boat load of money for. Never again. We've long needed congress to catch up with technology and pass laws protecting the consumer and their data from such companies.
I was just curious about what apps were installed on my phone. I've had this phone for at least a year. I'm not tech savvy. But I KNOW THAT I DIDN'T DOWNLOAD THIS APP. I can see that it was (probably) installed at factory. But what is it for??? I can't use it. How can I rate it? Can this app provide remote access to my camera? Keyboard? Phone calls can texts, etc??? BAD IDEA
Connects your wireless devices (smart watch, Fitbit, etc...) using very little battery power, memory, and storage space. You don't even notice it's on your phone.
So I love Samsung Health and use it daily, I don't have extra stuff that this app would be used for though. But if I do then hooray. My complaint is that I was teetering on the brink of not enough space, then I attempt to back up my app data and can't and then I found this had been installed. Thanks for the awesome timing and not asking for permission, Samsung. You dingle.
With the fact that the game itself is very short and if you wanna go further in, you HAVE to buy the other passes instead of them.becoming unlocked after the first 2 are done, i cant give you any more than 1star. Was a decent game but there couldve been so much more countries that couldve been "visited" without getting the tickets to other continents. Very lacking in alot but most of all, length and creativity
s6 sm-920v This is the plauge of many galaxy phones. It can active your NFC indefinitely regardless of forcestop/disable. The nfc service's base APK is an android system file and cannot be removed by any apps or uninstall process other than illegal rooting and root is %99 impossible on S6 Verizon/AT&T if you're up to 4.1 and like %100 impossible if you're S6 is up to 7.0+. Having a factory default, unstoppable, unremovable app/service that maximizes any and all forms of waves is BAD!
Either blatantly lying in description or just can't do math. "For example, on a 16GB phone, this service takes up 0.0013% of space." Um no. 20 MB is 0.13% of 16 GB. Still a fairly small number, but not THAT small. Over a thousandth of your phone's storage going to something you don't even use?? Come on. Sorry, but I don't trust software written by someone who lies and/or can't do basic arithmetic.
A useless and incredibly buggy app, it can never update for an unknown reason yet it constantly wants to and sends me very annoying notifications, and above all it can't be blocked or uninstalled. EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!!
Dear Sir/Madam: How can I get to use this application service? It one reads, "UNINSTALL", and not update or anything else. Am I supposed to uninstall and then reinstall it in one to have access to it? It came preloaded with my phone and I am interested in what it has to offer me before simply uninstalling the application. I would appreciate a response sooner rather than later in order to clear up my phone space if needed. Thank very much for your cooperation and support. ~ rrm
This is a driver. Explain what your product is, for God sake. Then people won't freak out. It's a driver for hooking wireless devices to the tablet. Sure it takes up 2.5 gigs of space, but here's the problem..a tablet is sold claiming is has x amount of space, when the truth is a whopping 1/3 of that is actually systems APPS. Unlike a desktop, where they might say you have a certain size drive, the operating system and drivers are not yanking a THIRD of it.
Horrible bloatware. Have no use for this. Can't uninstall, keeps updating and reinstalling itself even with Automatic Updates turned OFF. I have no idea why Samsung pushes this garbage onto consumers. It should be an opt-in app not an "unable to opt-out app".
Went through Settings > Apps > System Apps to disable. I have no wearable devices making this nothing but Samsung force fed bloatware. Regardless of what you select, the "Allow Notifications" remains activated on all four of the systems apps associated with this garbage.
This is a driver. Not an app. If it's preinstalled on your device, it means your device's hardware supports the ANT+ communication protocol, (Similar to Bluetooth and NFC) and this driver is required for it to function. The ANT+ protocol was developed by Garmin, and is frequently to communicate with smart devices. (watches, fitness trackers, etc) This driver cannot be uninstalled for the same reasons you cannot uninstall the Wifi driver, or the NFC driver, or the Bluetooth driver. It only takes up 2.27 MB of your storage. It will not run or use system resources (RAM, battery, CPU, etc), unless a running app requires the ANT+ communication protocol. It's probably in Play Store, and not built into the operating system (like most of the other drivers are) to allow for easier updates. If it was built into the system, updating it would require a system update, which would have to be approved and pushed by the device manufacturers. It's also in the Play Store for users who don't have hardware that supports ANT+ but do have a dongle that supports it. TL;DR: It's a driver. Not an app. It's important. It's small (2.27 MB). It won't use ram or other resources unless another app needs it. Don't worry about it.
