This app crashes regularly which in itself is a problem. BUT what happens if the app crashes when you are in the process of increasing the volume? Well this just happened to me - the volume on my MRX710 just continued to raise until reaching max volume. Blew the tweeter on one of my main speakers (a 11.500 USD Audiovector).
I've used this app on my 510, 710, and now my 1120 and AVM 60. It has always worked great. -> Upate: I've discovered that this truly is for x10 product. Sometimes it works on my x20 gear, sometimes not. A full update is coming for x20 however, and it's just around the corner.
Works better then the remote. Especially when adjusting balance and levels. Edit...just go a Droid turbo2, unable to get phone to connect. Tried powering down receiver for 2 days, uninstall, reinstall app multiple times. Pulled out old Droid maxx, connected fine. Don't know what is going on.
I'd like for this to work but as of yet I'm unable to get the phone to locate/connect to MRX 510. Confirmed both devices are on the same subnet/local network. Help? Contacted Anthem support and they've basically given up and claimed that the app isn't compatible with my Nexus 6 and said that the app will not be updated further.
Hasn't worked for months on my Nexus 6P and AVM60. Worked for a few days but utterly useless since. Very poor. Very disappointing.
It was able to connect with the receiver 1 Out of 10 and then the MRX just hung (I had to unplug and plug it again). Same results with the ipad/iOS.
Not yet available for the MRX x20 series, which is a shame. The new series has been available for almost a year, but the app only supports the x10 series amps.
This app works great with my Galaxy tablet but it doesn't connect to the amp with my Oneplus 2. Hopefully this gets fixed.
When it works it is a good alternative to the remote. But it is unstable and crashes often. Since I lost the remote and do not feel like paying $90 for a replacement, this will have to do.
Could not get the app to work with my 710. Tired several times and multiple restarts and guy nothing. All the buttons are greyed out except power and that button does nothing.
Hard reset of my MRX310 has fixed the connection issue I was having. Perfect again now.
This app worked perfectly on my Pixel XL running 8.0. It never connects in my Pixel 2 XL running 8.0. Why is Anthem treating this as app as an afterthought? Either fix it or pull it out of the Store. Aren't you embarrassed to have this product representing you?
With this app I can do anything that I can do with the standard remote. It works very well too. Make sure you enable the IP access in the setup menu of the receiver with your standard remote prior to trying to use this app.
If it works, it's great. Doesn't work with my Nexus 5x on Marshmallow, but does with my old Nexus 4 on Lollipop.
App worked well (never great) but stopped working some 6 months ago. All buttons are greyed out and it won't allow access to Setup. Network configuration is still the same so it isn't that. Useless app at this point.
Works perfectly on my MRX 520 with the latest firmware update. Love the perfect layout of the main page of the app with just Power, Vol +/- and Mute. That's all you really need on an amp remote 99.9% of the time. Thanks Anthem!
Does not work with my Sony Xperia. Cannot connect to my MRX 720.
App doesn't connect, 1 star rating is too high! AVM 60 owners don't waste your time.
Keeps crashing. Why don't you allow us mrx x.1 series use the new app instead of this unstable mess?
Nexus 6P & 1120... Used to work, now not at all... I've tried resetting all AVR network settings, then unplugging power, clearing cache and data on phone app, uninstalling, restarting phone, reinstall app....No Joy...I managed to get a beta version from Anthem v1.1.3 and it connected immediately to my 1120.
Does not work correctly with MRX 720
This app never connects to my Anthem MRX 720. Not even once.
Works flawlessly. But the interface could be improved much.
Great app, replaces the physical remote entirely.
Doesn't work with droid turbo 2. Will not connect...for some reason the app is not asking for wi-fi permission... I believe. Anthem won't Support app as well.
I have the MRX1120, and the IOS app works with it, but no connection with my Nexus 6.
Works fine for MRX x10 series, but when will you release one for the x20 series?
The app was nice to have when it worked, but for the past 8 months or so it hasn't been able to connect to my MRX-720. I just see a spinning icon and "connecting to device message." The Play-fi app can communicate just fine with my MRX-720, so I'm pretty sure that it's this app that is flaky.
