Ads are one thing, but this has way too many annoying audio ads that makes it just as annoying for me as it is for my dog. Was advised by support that there is an "ad free version" aka "paid" version. To which I would reply, offer an ad free trial to begin with. There is no way I'm paying for the app before I can use it, and the loud annoying ads make it unusable.
I understand that in order to experience this application to its full potential that you need to purchase the pro versión, But why would I want to purchase the pro versión when I can't even try out the app without getting interrupted LITERALLY every 15 seconds with an Ad. I mean it's literally OVER THE TOP with Ads. I understand what the ads are there for.. but this is just annoying and a pathetic way to try and force you to buy the pro. Not impressed.
Functional! Have a dog near my window that relentlessly barks at everything and this seems to make a difference. Also the Ads don't make this one completely unusable like others. Sometimes has to be reset because the tone is off. You shouldn't be able to hear 18,500-20,000 even if volume is at max
Google Play recommend this as an app i might be interested in just there was a knock at the door and my dog started barking. Usually he doesn't stop until after the visitor is gone, so I thought, "what the heck, it can't hurt to try it." So I installed it while my dog continued to bark. Once it was ready, I turned the frequency up and tried it out. it worked immediately, and after only five or six turns of responding to his barking with the sound, he stopped altogether.
I thought this would be some sound producing app with no Hertz indicator. But this one is an good and usefull application. It can be easily adjusted with one finger, need not do any extra works. Tried it...works perfectly
so far so good! the only thing I'd change would be to offer a "settings menu" so you can manually adjust the mHz. My pups respond well to a specific setting and it's very hard to get the slider on the exact setting I need.
cant stand the sound, headache, and to omitt the sound you will have to increase to max, which ater 5 min causr real headache, so actually its a one degree soundless app, no other soundless levels, which is the max. had to uninstall, besides it didnt work on smallest dogs, sent developer video, no reply for more than one month. besides the annoying adds.
The app is good however the ads spoil it, they pop up when your about to use the whistle. They are loud and can't be immediately stopped. I wouldn't use this app simply because of the pop up ads.
Waaaay too many ads. Anytime you hit the back button, two ads pop up. I get it, ads are needed in order to make money and fund the app as free, but there is such a thing as too many ads. Even with a free version.
I loved it for the whistling--stopped my dogs barking when I got to the right frequency. What I give it 2 stars for is the disruptive ads that pop up! I even uninstalled it from my phone and I STILL have ads pop up! I'm at my wit's end with these! if someone knows how to stop them from popping up, please let me know
Ok, so its tied to media volume not main volume. This is a flaw. I have to keep my media volume at 0 all the time. This should be tied to main volume or notifications volume. Makes no sound at all. I can hear 1000hz and with my phone volume at max I heard nothing. And my dog did not react to any frequency at all.
The app seems to work pretty well. Right after I started using it the yapping dog next door would yap a lot less. It is as if the high frequency noise made it less comfortable to be outside barking
editing my review, lowered to 2 stars because the ads are that annoying. Uninstalling because while it works the ads are so disruptive it is not worth it. the volume of the ads is full blast. even if my media is on low. horrible do you think anyone will pay attention to these crappy ads? no we are trying feverishly to silence them.
Nuisance. Stays active and sends a notification to the phone that the app is working. No Stop button. Annoying feature. Should be able to exit quickly.
It doesn't work at all! I used it several times to stop my fiance's mom's dog from barking (giving us a rude awakening ) in the early hours of mornings!!...I did put it on a higher frequency and let it "play" for longer than a minute and yet still nothing! At one point I left it "going" for an hour!!! It's 2 daschound dogs
1 down. 5 to go! I will rate this again after I play with the frequencies a bit more. I have 5 little barkers and a spoiled cat that nags me all the time! I got the cat to stifle and give me a dirty look! Ha! The dogs wont bark unless we get company or if they get startled...I wont try it until needed....that would be mean. The cat alone is worth the download and 5 stars!! Peace, finally! Thank You!
At least I know this one can make a sound. It doesn't make the same frequency my actual dog whistle makes tho. No dogs even pay attention to these sounds. They still bark or the simply turn their head and then casually ignore it. I have not found an effective app produced sound yet. Not even the an external speaker capable of the higher frequencies
I cannot believe it it actually works I'm laughing so hard right now I've been listening to this little dog barking his face off for the past 3 hours I turned it on the dog stops barking! I turn it off the dog starts barking! I turn it on he stops again! I'm thinking it's just a coincidence but almost 10 or 11 times in a row?? yes this works
The customizable slider helps me to figure out which sound gets the best frequency for both my cats and my dog. A future suggestion would be to allow to bookmark and label in some way for quick tap responses.
Very fun, you can annoy friends, family, your beloved house hold animal, and yourself! Also, if you take the slidy thingy to make he pitch higher or lower and slind you finger fast going left and right it will sound like a robot, it will confuse your dog! Also its fun to play with when you wanna annoy somebody like go out in public with a earape sound :)
Does this app make very high pitched noise that you can fluctuate? Yes! provided that your phone speaker can handle it. Thankfully mine can. Hence why I gave it 3 stars and not 1 star. This app doesn't affect my dog or the neighbors dog or any dog I've tried it on.
did not work. a quick google search tells us that effective dog whistles work in a frequency range that exceeds the capabilities of the app.
Lame. Clicked the no add button and got a very loud add. I literally only used this app for about a minute and it pissed me off with that pop-up. Un installing immediately. BTW, It didn't even wake any of our 4 dogs up.
It really works! If you only have it on when the dogs barks. Then stop. Repeat as much as you can. Even the first time trying it I was really impressed. I wish I had this years ago it would of stopped so many neighbourhood disputes.
Used to work flawlessly. Now, I can hear the high pitched, but clearly not actual 21khz sound. Pretty sure it's worse on my ears than the dogs. Disappointing, it was perfect.
With s bit of adjustment to find the correct frequency it discourages the dog. Use it just as it starts barking then when it stops turn it off, no need to br cruel. After a few cycles the dog associates the noise with it barking. I feel sorry for dogs tgat have such inconsiderate owners., leaving them alone and barking for hours.
The app seems to work pretty well. Right after I started using it the yapping dog next door would yap a lot less. It is as if the high frequency noise made it less comfortable to be outside barking. I can't see the dog so I don't know it's reaction. It's also possible the owner realized what a jerk he was being and stopped leaving the dog outside to bother the neighbors. I'm about 30 to 40 feet away and the dog whistle is running from inside my house. Which makes it pretty convenient and anonymous. The one negative is the app turns the media volume up on high but when you close the app or toggle off the dog whistle the media volume does not get put back to where it was.
