Features:
- The ability to obtain current wind speed, direction, and weather at your GPS location. This becomes extremely important when you are deciding whether to hunt there or not. if the wind is not right, then your game will know you are there before you even spot them.
- You can store the GPS location of your favorite stand in a database for later mapping and weather information determination. This is extremely helpful because you can retrieve the location later and check its wind data to determine if the spot’s conducive to success prior to going there.
- The app computes sunrise and sunset times for your current GPS location. The calculations are actually performed internally without the use of charts. Data used in these formulas are your GPS location, calendar data, UTC time and the phone's current time zone (determined via cellular connection).
- A set of scoring sheets for selected antlered species (deer, elk, pronghorn, caribou). AI only uses gross scores (no deductions) as we believe your harvest should be judged upon all the bone it has grown. (Scoring worksheets for more antlered species will be added in subsequent versions).
- The app loads the “Insane Shop” from the internet so you can get some cool stuff, as well as it provides links to AI’s Twitter and Facebook pages. This will let you keep up to date with all of AI’s hunting expeditions and blogs.
Comments:
- GPS Services must be turned on for the GPS location features to be used.
- The GPS locator is best used when the user is outside so a more accurate determination of location can be found.
- An internet connection is necessary for obtaining weather data.
- The sunrise and set times are computed internally in the app using your GPS location, calendar information, and time zone location as input into actual mathematical equations. Any differences between the AI computed times, as compared to published charts, could be due to round-off differences in the number of seconds.

THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T HUNT... had this app for years and would have gladly paid a subscription to keep it the way it was...but last season the new owners broke it (to update it) right at the begining of the hunting season...finally fixed it after the season was over only to make it worthless. All the features that people actually used the app for were removed or broke and they added garbage you can get with every other app... poor decisions canceled and now unintalling.
android user here....compared to the iPhone platform, the email function when scoring was not there. emailed the developer and they fixed asap....have to say, been really happy with the app and the scoring. thanks again for the quick reply and fix!
Developer, I have used your app for 3 years with no issues. Now you change the design and update app. Now it doesnt work even uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Time to move on from antler insanity. Good luck next time!
This used to be my go to hunting app until this last update rendered it unusable. What a shame! What were the devs thinking? If it ain't broke don't fix it! Updated my review for the December update. It's still awful and a crying shame that they modified it from ithr original version. Sadly I am going to delete this once supreme hunting tool.
Loved this app until I bought a new phone and data wouldn't transfer because of your update. What a crock. This is the middle of deer hunting season and I have no data. I can't even download your update to my new phone. Are you going to fix this or do I need to use Hunt Stand?
Worked fine until this year, now it does nothing since the "update". Its less than Useless. Just a Waste of my time.... ... but as a second chance kind of person that I am I will try to fix it by uninstalling & then reinstalling it.... so, we'll see... but I won't hold my breath
When the app updated it stopped working. It just sits there. I lost years of data. Was a great app but the update is garbage!!!!! Hero to a ZERO!!!!
Loved the app before but now it won't open. I have reinstalled it twice but still not working. I hoping it will be fixed and would like someone to contact me to help me with this.
It's a good app. But needs to be completely updated. Satellite imagery is a few years old. Please update !! But very helpful with finding stands and the wind for each. Updated it please
Friend said "use this app instead of google maps". I did and now i have no way of finding my climber left in dense woods miles out. App just cost me a stand and a hunting trip if it isnt back up with stored data in next 24 hours. Glad i didnt purchase it like he wanted me too as that would have added to the cost already. Help get this back up!!!!
