Fantastic - I tried about 15 shopping list apps before I found this gem! Brilliantly arranged to let you combine lists from multiple stores with overlapping items. Excellent interface lets you easily see all items on list, only needed items, or recently crossed off items. Easy to import by pasting in a text list. Biggest missing feature: 1x1 shortcut on home screen to a single list. Alarms on lists would be nice too.
Probably the best balance of simplicity, usability, and aesthetics. The categories and pricing can be a little convoluted but you get the hang of it. We used Out Of Milk for a while but the syncing on it between users outright sucked. The AnyList syncing is rock solid and the main reason we paid for it.
I've used this app for years. It came with everything I wanted and needed for my list making self. Even though I'm still a free user, the developers have continued to offer outstanding updates to free users. If it were an option I'd pay them almost any one time fee for the app. I don't use apps that require subscriptions. Unlike many apps that lose non-subscription functionality as time passes, this one continues to meet my needs year after year.
It's exactly what you're looking for in a list app. Has intuitive features, has a good tutorial for the not so obvious features, has very good syncing. The importing recipes from websites makes this the number one. The integration of the shopping list, the recipe list, and and the meal plan works exactly like I would want it to! JUST DONT CHANGE ANYTHING, you hear me devs?
Suuuuper functional, totally LOVE IT! I've only had it for a few days now, but I totally love this app, especially since I paid to upgrade! I got it initially because the quality of the Google list went down, so I was looking for a replacement that was still compatible with my Google assistant - CHECK! It works exactly the same. Plus I can also book it up to Alexa, so I can also use my Fitbit voice commands to add to the list. Super cool! The schedule and recipe options are also so awesome!
This is one of my favorite apps. My partner and I have a family subscription and for the value it's incredibly cheap. There is also a website version that this syncs with so when we do our online shopping it's easy for me to have that up in another browser/tab. Also the smart home integration is really helpful. Finally, there is a recipe tab that makes meal planning a breeze!
This app is just what I needed! I paid for the full version because it's only $10 for a whole year and I get to add as many recipes as I want (...and no ads). I often find my recipes on the internet so this is super simple. I love that I can then add the ingredients from each recipe to my shopping list AND creat meal plans for whenever I want! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this app if you rely on your phone/smart device for cooking and/or shopping.
So far the best list app I've used for groceries. Easy to add items and the search knows lots of products. It's a nice touch that you can use emojis for icons. You can either cross things off your list or delete by a tap or swipe. No annoying ads that I've come across so far. Using the free version right now but will probably upgrade because it's good!
I really want to love this app! The ability to upload recipes from the internet and meal plan and add items from the recipe to the list is phenomenal. My biggest issue is that our grocery list is added through the Alexa in the kitchen, and I can't get the Alexa list to stay synced with Anylist. I enabled and disabled a dozen times and the only way to get it to work is to log on to a computer, and I don't always have my computer with me in the middle of the grocery store so how is that helpful?
I love that lists are customizable by groceries, stores, or general lists, make notes on a listed item, rearrangeable, sharable via multiple platforms (text, email, within the app with another person, screenshot, etc), and I can have all my lists in one spot. The ONLY downside which is very minor, is I wish I could edit the list type (general vs grocery etc) without deleting the entire list. it isn't major, and maybe I haven't figured out how yet, this remains my favorite list app ever.
Loving using all the features on this app to start a new way of eating, starting the Mediterranean diet for healthy eating. I particularly love adding a photo of the dish so I can see what it looks like but also find a recipe faster by sight. The menu planner and the grocery list are a must for a new way of eating. Sharing the recipes with family is a huge plus because sharing eating helps us follow better eating practices, together.
Simplifiy your life! I've been using this app for ~5 yrs now. Loved it since day 1 and it just keeps getting better. We're a busy family, so being able to plan meals for the week with the integrated recipes and then adding any ingredients not in the pantry to the grocery list, amazing! Sharing the grocery and other lists across household members, the ability to add things to lists via Google assistant while working around the house or driving in the car, fantastic! I could go on,but busy family!
Anylist has been great! I always have my list and it can be updated by anyone sharing it. Any one can add to the list at any time. You can have multiple lists with different purposes. You can mark off items as they are completed or purchased. Since we are transitioning from one state to another and all of our belongings keep getting shifted, we always know where our lists are. Love it and wish I had found AnyList sooner!
Loving this app so far.... it's super easy to navigate and the ease of importing a recipe and then adding those ingredients to the shopping list, is FABULOUS!! I'm still learning the ins and outs of the app but as I said, so far, I have zero complaints and would definitely recommend! One note...I did pay for the full subscription which absolutely makes this app better and the price for an entire year was incredibly reasonable!
This is one of my most used apps. It's intuitive and has lots of great features. I use it every week primarily for grocery shopping and it makes the experience so much faster. The free version has plenty of features to be very useful and the paid version has enough extra to make it worth it for the cost. It's also great if you share lists with another person. I highly recommend this app.
Only complaint is that when crossing off an item, it stays where it is in the list. I would rather it get kicked to the bottom of the list so I could more easily see what is left to grab. Edit: Thanks for the response!! That was pretty out in the open, can't believe I missed it. Have another star, this is a fantastic app.
I really enjoy this app. I love the ability to change recipes and upload old favorites. It makes it easy to share recipes with friends. I'm a huge meal planner and this has been amazing so far! Update: I've been an anylist user for two years now and I can't imagine life without it. They keep adding more features that just make sense!
Requires creating an account which definitely not necessary for something as simple as a shopping list. An account is not required to share, view or edit data between devices and synchronize data. Creating accounts for a small free app is annoying and pointless. There should at least be a warning in the desciption.
I use it for groceries but so many other things as well. Every time I think of an additional function that I wish existed, AnyList have already thought of it. It has complex functionality but manages to feel simple and streamlined at the same time. Excellent app.
Actually a pretty decent app. I just wanted an app to share grocery items with the wife. We can add items in real time and tick them off once we buy the item. It allows you to share many list. So we have one for when we moved on top of our normal groceries. Actually do recommend if you share turns for grocery shopping.
I love this app!! It is the asiest to navigate and has lots of great features. I share the list with each family member, if they need me to pick up something for them they just add it to my store list. I also created a menu list so everyone can see what's for dinner. Best shopping list available!!
THE BEST list app I have ever used!!! use it for my entire Master list & then make categories like home chores, business stuff, wish list, errand list. after a week decided to buy the premium version so I could reorder categories etc and use it on my computer I really really enjoy it. I I'm going to contact creators and ask would they consider I don't know how they would do it but being able to add due dates to things and that would make it the best ever, even better than Google tasks!
This app is THE BEST for anyone who shops and cooks at home. I love how you can add recipes automatically from a browser. Then you pick which ingredients you need, and they're organized when you go shopping. When it's time to cook, the ingredients and steps are all nicely laid out to follow. Thank you so much developers! This is the app I always needed.
To all those who lost Google's "Shopping" app... I've tried several "Lists" and this is the only one that was actually better. It hooks up to your "Assistant" and catagorizes the items making it easy to shop no matter the store layout. I am an actual person who prefers to get in and get out, this app helps. P.S. Not seen to many ads.
Update: subscription renewed! Still loving this app. The recipe import feature is awesome and makes it so easy to add ingredients directly from individual recipes. Original review: Still in the early stages of using the app, but my family already opted for the paid family upgrade! Useful features help keep my 4-adult family's grocery list, and personal lists, updated and easy for us!
Love this app for any kind of list. Groceries, packing for a trip, it's great, you can make different lists for everything and easily mark through the items you've done. I like that you can also just show what you still need. Handy app to have.
This list fills my need for shopping lists at various places. I have an option for a 'To Do' list. I can cross off what I have purchased but since I'm a repetitive buyer, items don't get deleted unless you want them to. Easy to edit. I'm extremely happy with the AnyList.
Actually comparing a lot of shopping list apps for free. Big inconvenient here for me : adding a photo to the item is part of the paying version ..but which is near 10€ PER YEAR!!!😱 some apps have this feature for free, or you just pay much less in one and only payment forever.. I'll sadly have to use another app than this one, which started very well unfortunately.
