Apex Notifier

Apex Notifier is an extension application for Apex Launcher Pro (2.3+) and DashClock Widget (Android 4.2+). It provides notification data to those applications and does nothing on its own.
NEW: Apex Notifier now supports Android Wear devices!Check the battery level of your phone straight from your wrist. There's no need to take the phone out of your pocket just to see how much battery is remaining. When an Android Wear watch is connected to your phone, a battery card appears on the watch that shows you the current battery level and charging status. To set up, just launch Apex Notifier on your phone and turn on Battery > Show on Android Wear. To customize the experience, you may control when the battery card shows up (e.g., when not charging or the battery drops below a certain threshold). You'll also find options to show additional battery information like health, temperature, and voltage.

When used with Apex Launcher Pro, unread counts will show up in badges on application icons. Please enable Apex Notifier in Apex Settings > Notification settings.

When used with DashClock Widget, Apex Notifier displays useful information from various sources. Please enable Apex Notifier in DashClock Extensions > Add Another Extension > Apex Notifier. You may enable up to 5 extensions for DashClock.

Supported Apps
• Missed Calls
• Unread SMS
• Calendar Appointments
• Gmail
• HTC Mail
• Samsung Email
• K-9/Kaiten Mail
• Battery Level
• Stock Email
• Google Hangouts (Android 4.3+)
• WhatsApp (Android 4.3+)
• Google Play (Android 4.3+)
• Google Voice
• Starbucks

Notes
• Unread SMS provides the number of unread messages, not unread conversations.
• Gmail unread count requires Gmail version 4.0.5 or higher.
• If you update Gmail or install K-9/Kaiten Mail after installing Apex Notifier, you may have to re-install Apex Notifier to get proper permissions.
• You do not need this extension for Aqua Mail. Just turn on external notifiers in Apex Launcher Pro, and you will see the unread count badge.
• Battery level will be displayed in a numeric badge on Battery apps (the Settings app by default) in Apex Launcher Pro. Some battery settings (e.g., status, time, details) are only applicable for DashClock.
• Notification data for Email, Google Voice, and Starbucks are retrieved from widgets. Please set up your account in those apps first. Depending on how often each app refreshes its widget, data may not be updated in real time.
• Features listed under Labs are experimental and may stop working in the future.
• When used with Apex Launcher Pro, please install Apex Launcher before installing Apex Notifier.
• Apex Notifier only works with official versions of Apex Launcher Pro (2.3+). Please do not ask for support if you are using a modified or pirated version.

Feature RequestsFor now, only apps listed above are supported. Integration with additional apps may be implemented in the future if there is official API or public content provider.

Developers: Apex Launcher Pro also supports notifications from other apps. Please check out the notifications API at http://goo.gl/NC8EO

The notification badge shows the wrong email count for the Gmail app. For example if I have 1 unread email, the notification badge for Gmail will show the number "2" instead of just "1". Similarly, if I have 2 unread emails, the notification badge will show "4" and so on. It doubles the number and it's frustrating. Please fix this bug. This has been happening for over a year now. The device I am using is an unrooted Samsung Galaxy S7, running Android 8.0.0.

Gmail unread count works as required. Phone missed calls: unread count remains after cleaning notification ( as intended), but the count is wrong. Starts with 2 instead of 1. Messages unread count - does not work at all. As soon as notification is cleared, messages badge dissappear - not good. Please make this behave consistently across all apps. Unread count should behave the same way it behaves for Gmail. I have paid for lifetime license hoping to have unread count badges.

Okay app except that the badge shows the wrong count ie- received 1 email, badge shows a count of 2. Can't this be fixed. Tried all different settings but still won't work properly.

With newest version: Badge count does not work for all apps now as it says it does. Even though it is checked off in the individual settings for it. Not sure why.

Only 3 Stars from me because the Icons are looking not good anymore. It seems that this Plugin does not support the Alpha Channel on the Icons, so the Icons are looking bad on the borders. Hope you fix that

I don't get any of the counts to show up in my badges and I do have the pro version. Why us this the case. My last phone it worked get and that was using the old version if Apex. When used with Apex Launcher Pro, I get unread counts will show up in badges on application icons. Please enable Apex Notifier in Apex Settings > Notification Badge.

K-9 Email Notification no longer works with Samsung Galaxy S10+. This use to work great on Samsung Galaxy S8+, upgraded phone, which has new Android version and now when attempting to enabled the K-9 Email notification badge, i continuously get the "uninstall and reinstall" message, despite uninstall just Notifier, and tested uninstalling all 3 apps [Apex Launcher, Apex Notifier, and K-9 Email]. Please fix soon. I have paid for Apex Launcher Pro, so I do have funds invested in your apps. Thanks!

Would be five stars if it supported more email options. Pick a large platform like Outlook and some more Independents please. Downgraded to 1 star in 2020 because its no longer functional with text messages.

Can you please add the text based counter like the one they have in Samsung TouchWiz home please? So they can be read by TalkBack, since I am a blind user who uses TalkBack screen reader. Thank you very much.

Could be better... android email needs to be added. Phone will freeze and close apps randomly. Most apps have no badges available.

Switched to Nova Launcher Premium. Badge Message counts worked fine with Aquamail on Note 5, now they do not work on Note 9 (Oreo). Complained to Dev's with no response.

The notifications do not shw for messenger even if you buy the pro version. Selecting the option on settings helps only sometimes
