I installed it and ran a backup, which included over 1000 APNs for some unknown reason (since I only have 2 APNs on my phone) then told me 4.0.x blocks restoring, after I set it as a system app. Nexus 4, Paranoid Android June 24th build

I ran v1.7 as a system app and it worked on ICS and JB. The latest update v1.9 doesn't work on CM11 even after moving to /system/priv-app. Offline Sim APN Database works on CM11, was able to get MMS working on Evo LTE on Pageplus...for anyone trying to get MMS working on a flashed phone.

Nowhere in the description does it say you must have the PAID version of Titanium Backup. I would like to try this but. must have the Donate verison to convert it to the system app. :( I will re-rate it when I can get the PAID Ti Backup. 2 stars.. lack of Documentation.

Like the others I made it system app, followed instructions and backup was still denied. If you ever find a different solution I'll be happy to give it another try and change my review. Thanks

Having problems changing or deleteing APNS with this app with Android ICS ?, here is how I've done it. 1.Root your phone. 2.Install this app. 3.Install Titanium Backup. 4.Open Titanium Backup and navigate to Backup/Restore tab. 5.Find APN Backup and Restore and long press it - an option list should appear. 6.Select from that list "Convert to sys aplication". 7.Reboot phone. 8.Open APN Backup and Restore, press phone's menu button and select "Disable ICS Check". Now you can fully use this app.

This is a great app if you need to send/receive pic messages for a custom rom that was made for a different carrier. (Flashing verizon rom on alltel in my case.) Just download apn zip file for your carrier and put the zip in this apps folder then delete other apns and restore the one u want. It does work for rooted phones and ics with instructions for ics above. Please study these things before putting negative comments.

After flashing ROMs I usually lose my MMS. This app is the only thing that got it back. Boost Mobile Moto G CDMA by the way. Thanks :)

I wish this app would be updated to be more compatible and easier to use with 6.0+ roms. still functions but is a hassle

Been having trouble with my apn lately, been trying to restore it, found this great app and sad to say it isn't compatible with android 4.0 + Still giving five stars because if it were compatible with my version of android, my apn problems would be resolved.

This app should allow the user to select which apps to backup. I suggest that the publisher should modify this app so the user can select which apps to backup.

I got a kyocera hydro elite unlocked phone off ebay to use with straight talk. When I got it I found out the hard way that the ability to edit APN names is disabled on this verizon phone. I found I could root it using Kingo Android Root, then use Titanium backup (pro) to switch this app to a system file, and then use Offline Sim APN to actually setup new information(also converted to a system file). Apparently android 4.1 and newer prevents other apps from messing with the APN but rooting and moving the apps to the system folder fixes that limitation. This utility will save the configuration currently in the phone and it will wipe the old APN which you may have to do to prevent the newly added information from being defeated by the old info. When you find a working APN setup this will save it so next time you can easily just restore your backed up APN (through this utility). When you use this be sure to shut off ICS check (I think it's off by default) or it won't work properly. You may also have to make sure USB debugging is on in the developer options. Thank you for this utility, if they would add the ability to edit APN info this would be a 1st class app that I'd pay for!

This application works perfectly. for those of you running into any issues, you have to make sure you convert this to a system application with titanium backup, and you have to put this into the priv-apps folder instead of the regular apps folder, if you do that you will not run into any issues.

If it doesn't it mean that you need the phone to be rooted and the app transferred to system for it to work.

Potential to be great, just does not for Android 4.0 or higher. Workaround that and have a paid for version and we're good. Did not work on Galaxy Note 2

aftr installing it to the system is still tells me that it is a 3rd party app and refuses to backup/restore

The free version of this app does not restore or delete apn. It also says this app does not support Android 4 and up.

Awful! Truly is a complete fail. Error retrieving. Message list: No permission to write APN settings. Like hell! I have full root, not my fault your app can't take advantage of that.

for this guy and other having doubt on how to restore your apns on you s2 the only thing you gotta do on your s2 i9100 in order to restore your apn's is moving the apk from data/app using root browser or any other root file browser to the folder system/app and fix permissions like this rw-r-r then reboot it, and open apn backup and restore, then press menu button and disable ics check, then restore apn's and boom! there you have it :)

Use system/app mover convert to system app. Please disable ICS check. It works great on Adroid 4.3 and 4.4. Thanks so much for this great app.

Entering APN settings on ICS and above it's fairly straightforward, a great opportunity for any aspiring developer.

I have all of Ritesh's backup apps - they are all worth owning on your device. Simple layout and proper functionality make his apps indispensable.

Desire HD SVHD with Android v4.0.4, cannot restore apn, only backup which is kind of pointless.

A. G. u. May 15, 2012

It works.First needs to be converted to system application with Titanium Backup Pro and than applied disable ICS option.I have to put my phone in airplane mode in order to restore successfully the backup file.

App does what it says tin, and developer is very responsive to issues/concerns. As a note, I don't mind ads in free apps, however there are ways of adding them without needing my phone's identity. :)

Works great, it was a must have situation for me. My thanks to the Developer ^5
