Love the app, but two things bother me. First, I have the style of an iPhone (I didn't want) I like to have folders in my app drawer, but for some reason I can't organize any of my apps in there, just the home pages. Second, when I rename any app later it goes back to its original name. Very annoying when I'm trying to keep it clean and tidy. (possible glitch?) I rate it 1 star for now until I'm able to organize my app draw with folders, and rearrange them how I like.
Very sleek and modern feel to the launcher. I also felt the overall user-friendly yet fairly detailed customization possibilities were a great standout of the app. My only criticism would be that there the lack of ability to add apps to folders on the home screens, and it would be nice to have a bulk transfer option for apps or widgets to the home screen or folders. Kinda a pain to move apps one by one from the app drawer and your home screens. Otherwise I'd say this is better than most.
Great, but one deal-breaking flaw. When I went to add a Chrome browser page shortcut to the home screen, it says it was doing it, but nothing appeared. I was using the graffiti theme (which I absolutely love), and then tried the default theme with no success. I also tried the app's default browser to no avail. If this issue is fixed, this would be my go-to launcher, but it's useless to me without browser shortcuts.
I'm not sure about the rest of the launcher but I was unsatisfied with the app drawer. The app drawer is one of the most important things for me in a launcher. I really wish there was a detailed listing or picture of what options are available in the app drawer so I could know without having to download it. The main thing is there is no option to have a button for the actual app drawer, instead of having to swipe up. Some people might like the swipe up, but please add an option for people that don't, along with the removal of the little arrow indicator. There is a missing space in the dock when you first install the launcher where to me the app drawer button should go. A solution for this would be to add a widget under the name Apollo, I've just seen nova launcher did this thing. It doesn't make sense to have an option in the launcher settings, to change the app drawer display style, if you can always change the display style in the actual app drawer. I'm really looking for a simplistic style, and I would like it to be only in the settings, so there's less clutter in the actual app drawer. Once I have it the way I want it, there's no need to have a button to be able to change it all the time. Or a solution is there could be an option in the settings to display it or not. Also there needs to be more options for display style in the app drawer, such as grouping apps by letter or having the a-z always on the right side. The fast scrolling is kind of hard to initiate in my opinion. Other than that, this seems to be a really nice app and I really like all the other customization options.
Worked great for a long while, but today it mysteriously broke. App folders don't visually load in, none of the icons look like they did before, general major changes. I tried fixing it in settings but to no avail. I'm not sure if this is a bug or a new update, but regardless, I will only use apolo again if this issue is fixed.
Updating my review. As of the past several days, the ads have become incredible intrusive. The description says the ad blocks won't disturb my navigation, but now it seems like just about every hour or so, my navigation is interrupted by a FULL SCREEN AD. Please tell me how that is not interfering with my navigation. I have tried finding responsible app but after process of elimination this is only option left. Why the full page ads
By far, the best launcher I've ever used. I've had several phones, tried many different launchers, always keep coming back to this one because of the clean, nice, and customizable UI. Hands down, the best. Even better than the Samsung One UI. The ONLY thing I would like to see is a custom keyboard. For now, I'm substituting with a swype keyboard. Looks great. Works great. It's great. Keep it up devs! (SM-G965U)
Mostly pleased with how well it works and the customization options. However, I'm not happy about some of those customizations not staying how I set them. Namely app icons changing back to default for no apparent reason. No matter how many times I change it, it always defaults back. Would rate 5 stars if this was fixed.
The scroll option doesn't seem to work with the list Style app drawer. Also the glossary feature doesn't appear to work with this style either. When I try to scroll or select a letter it just ends up selecting whichever app is on the line where my finger is. The screen doesn't move or scroll. It would also be nice for the glossary feature to work with the grid style drawer. Also transitions for the horizontal Style app drawer would be nice. Otherwise seems to be a nice launcher.
No ads at all. It's a little wonky at times, like in the app drawer I would prefer to be able to click the whole row and open an app. With a 6 inch screen and having to try to reach over to open the app by clicking on the icon vs just the row.. All in all, 5/5 would recommend.
I've just installed it. It's a very nice launcher, but I have a problem with notification badges. It appears that I have 3 notifications on Phone app even though I've read them all. The problem doesn't go away even after reboot, changes in notification setting or switch between launchers.
I really appreciate how little RAM this particular launcher uses. it looks sharp and runs smoothly. I am truly excited for more updates that will expand even more upon the customizability made available by this app. I would recommend this for anyone who likes the standard look but with more options in terms of animations, widgets and organization.
Not nearly enough themes. The price is more than I would pay. XLauncher no ads is free, unlimited themes and takes up less memory on my phone. The ability to edit icons is the best feature of this launcher but certainly not worth the $10.99 price development is asking for premium.
Would be perfect if the screen where you edit the app icon contained a link to the gallery so you can choose a picture from there for your icon. Did I miss this somehow? Most launchers seem to have this. Sorry but I can't use it until you add this, but I will keep the app on my phone in the hopes that you will add the feature in a future update.
I purchased Apollo launcher after Tesla Pro version stopped working correctly. I almost did not download ᴀᴩᴏʟʟᴏ because there were some reviews stating there were too many adds however there aren't any at all. Tbe app is absolutely the best launcher I have used compared to all other paid launcher versions currently available. Very easy to set up has a ton of a available user customizations as well as robust integration. The app is free and so far I have not seen one add
It's a good app because it functions but it is super invady and ask for permissions for far too many things, and all so fast it made it feel like I had 2 minutes to read and sign a 30 page contract. And once you download and click the app. It all ready by that point tries to plaster its self all over your device before you can even fully costomize what its icon change is going to look like.
Prolly my favorite launcher next to Nova. I did have a issue with it on a older phone running a older Android version and my ellipsis tablet. Which i had to download thru APK because it wasn't compatible with those two devices..but I do now have the Samsung Galaxy A10E which is compatible so hopefully it doesn't give me issues. Jus so many themes and Icon packs to choose from!!!😂
Just installed. Can't put any apps in the dock. It supports only two apps in the dock. In this app its called as favourite tray though. Tried adding an app to favorite tray by tapping '+', but it takes me to it's app store to install an app, instead of adding installed app to favorite tray. Uninstalling the launcher. Went back to Hyperion launcher.
Update... This is actually one of my favorite Launchers... it has great features and minimal ads. Why the 3 stars then?s As much as i love this app sometimes when apps update they vanish from your home screens!!! Nothing more frustrating then spending time setting up all your apps just how you like, only to see half off them vanish regularly! Ugh! The Devs are good with responding to issues so that's a great plus! and i added a star for that!
Upon first use, it had me set up my two widgets on the home screen. Afterwards, it wouldn't load at all. Definitely not something I'd enjoy looking at on the regular. At over one million downloads, that's where the app is at? Uninstalled.
It comepletley destroyed my phone. It made my phone glitch to the point of not being able to download apps on google play, or rather, uninstall them as well. Just now my phone is having trouble getting rid of this launcher. edit: my phone kept having a black screen, and was having trouble completing the simplelest tasks. i was able to get rid of the launcher.
High level of customization, and all the ads can be essentially turned off. Honestly, my only problem is that there's simply no cute themes for it, like Japanese or Korean inspired ones, like those on the Samsung store or those for CM Launcher. But that's not Apolo's fault, though if they could encourage more theme development, I'd love it even more.
It's a great app except the fact that no widgets which has been going on since mid 2021 when I first installed it and also when I'm in the app drawer it randomly puts me all the way to the top which gets really annoying
Nice, simple, clean and most impotantly easy to use (and understand how to use) for those of us with limited invesment or concentration spans with all things technology. No blips so far in any respect and it gives more insight and control into my phones operating elements than the factory loaded fella the phone came with. Super.
I don't really understand why anyone is leaving poor reviews for this launcher. Everything functions perfectly as advertised and there's a lot of built in customization options along with support for both icon packs, and icon masking. The speed is up there with other launchers if not faster. One of my only real suggestions would be to have some better built in widgets. One thing I absolutely love about the LG launcher are the stock widgets. Nothing else really rivals them.
This is an overall great app. I absolutely love the features that were put effort onto! Just something that would have made it even nicer than it already is, would be the ability to make folders in the app drawer as well! (Maybe the option is there and I still haven't found it? Guide me, please.) Plus, when I edit an icon, it merely resets to its default, no matter how much ever I try. Is it some problem with my phone? I hope I could be assisted with these issues? Thank you!
