Not reliable. Lots of adds. To trash. 1/4 times when you request a route, it doesn't work and propose you to call the hotline instead. Many adds everywhere even if it's supposed to be for the owner company bus. That app is just good to trash.
You need to update to a later version than the latest version! What a brilliant idea! Once again on 2022-04-22
Wow, it's literally as buggy as a cheap virus-laden app from Mainland China. Since 2019, the ads in this KMB app have become buggy eyesores. I have used this for a long time and it was really good before, so this is very disappointing. There's no option to upgrade to get rid of the ads, which take up the whole screen and blink like crazy. Sometimes it's simply impossible to use. What's happening? Are they trying to prepare for a Baidu Maps takeover?
Very unreliable app. I would highly recommend not to trust this app when you have a tight schedule. Basically, the time shown for bus arrival is extremely misleading. In my particular experience, I ended up waiting 30 minutes for bus to arrive while the time shown was just 10 minutes. Other passengers had different times shown on their app which is quite strange.
Great app. Very useful. Especially with GPS timing. That said, ads are a huge issue. Now unable to select alight reminder because the right side of all the stops is covered with ads. Splash screen ad when you really need to check a bus route quickly is terrible. Enough ads inside the app. Let us open it without a huge wait.
Too many ads, they cover key info and slow down the app.
Not only are the ads annoying, the special notices are even more annoying. Instead of giving a clear indication on the status of service for the route being enquired, it merely gives a long list of the unsuspended routes, noting that the routes not shown on the list are suspended. How could an app in the 21st century be so primitive!

Keep in mind that users are on commute and require information delivered to them ASAP. The app fails to deliver IN-TIME because: 1. Has a sudden intrusive ad shortly after starting the app, which is prone to misclicks (as if ads were appropriate in an app which supplements a profitable business in the first place.) 2. Forces user to update the app, and prevents usage otherwise, after showing the ad first. 3. On multiple occasions showed inaccurate service disruption information.
Useful, stable, just a bit annoying for the ads
expect for the mandatory 5 sec ads or update, when you're in a hurry. It's okay
No doubt the estimated time cannot be a reference for users, like I've waited for 8 min for the bus but the bus has eventually “disappeared”! What an amazing experience.
The app is just too smart. I was in Central, wanted to find bus route on Kowloon side, but it refused, only showed bus route on HK side. When I was in Nathan Road, wanted to check 98D to Tseung Kwan O, but it only showed 98D to Tsim Sha Tsui.
Don't show me ads when I'm in a hurry checking the arriving time, at least put it in somewhere else. Thanks
Very inaccurate, sometimes over 10mins difference. Thus lot of advertising materials.
This application is utter trash. I'm giving it 1 star because I cant give a rating lower than that. Time of arrival isn't even close for most of the bus routes. I get more accurate times estimating and counting the minutes by the second with my hands than with this steaming pile of dump. The only timing they get correct is when to shove an ad down your throat whenever you need to use it. Moreoever, not every function of the application works. Complete garbage.
The splashscreen ads cannot be closed
This app keep on upgrading itself quite regularly especially when you are outside consuming expensive mobile data or you are in area of weak mobile wave signal. This app just won't allow you to upgrade later when you have access to wifi. This app should have let the users to have the option to upgrade later and continue to use the app.
Full screen ad right at the start, which black out the whole screen and flash. No chance to close the ad. Forced to click the ad, redirected to the browser, wasted data, come back to the kmb app, same thing again. Unusable.
the number of advertising becomes too much, top of the screen, bottom of the screen, side of the screen, pop ups and on top of actual buttons, so that u click the ad instead of the button. since the app is from KMB itself, it should b made user friendly.
This app is disappointing. I've installed, uninstalled and reinstalled this app on multiple occasions in hope that it's problems will be fixed. It works fine the first time I open it, after that, it just stays on a cover page loading.
Who decided to put the thick banner ad at the bottom of the screen ? Now the UI is not only cluttered but also lacks vertical space. More than half the screen are filled with ads with redirect links, with less than 1/3 of the screen providing actual information. Time of arrival is not accurate, the difference between reported time and real time of arrival could exceed 5 minutes. Horrendous user experience.
The estimate of bus arrival time doesn't work. Too often it shows the bus is 1 min away. Then all of a sudden the bus is gone and next one will arrive in 35 min. But then there is a bus arriving within 5 min. Without showing up in the app. Completely random results and totally useless.
Always take a hassle to update on the spot, where you need it in a hurry at the bus station. Despite every other good thing of this app, since updating is the only option before use, it makes the worst of its kind. Nobody would care the advertisements from the worst app.
All thanks to those fail-to-load ads with nothing, not even a close button, but a giant blank white banner blocking the whole page making me have to quit and reopen. They really make this app come in handy when i am in a hurry. Wouldn't u devs try to solve this stupid problem. Better off, cancel the ads.
It really waste my data and time to load the advertisment. I already paid the bus fare for the bus ride, it is annoying to close the ad every time i open the app. When i use the app, i am in a hurry to check info. Why should i need to close the ad and waste data to load the ad? I guess this is an app for supporting the bus service instead of making money through ad. I hope this can improve.
Way too many ads. This is a transport app, not a arcade game app. Also, it can be very inaccurate and never shows in the first page the bus I take, causing me to have to search it every time.
Has Improved a lot since last used during school years. Recently moved from HK Island to Kowloon, can't live without this app. Not sure why it's rated lower than the NWFB one, probably due to negative reviews earlier? It's fast & responsive, the layout is easy to navigate, and the ETA is generally accurate, at least in my case.
