The problem is the company on the other side of the app. Easy to book and just as easy for them to CANCEL BOOKING THREE MINUTES PRIOR TO SCHEDULED PICKUP. What a false sense of security. Think you are going to the airport? Think again. Based on other reviews it seems like this app is basically a way to prank people who need a cab.
Never had an issue with the app before. But recently not even the main screen would load and I tried everything I could such as clearing the cache and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Nothing worked. Though I have tried booking for a later date, it is unreliable as the other reviews have stated.
If garbage had garbage, it would out perform this app/company. Don't waste time booking in advance because they do not guarantee on time pickups or pickups at all. I called to confirm my pick up the night before and morning of and was told it was in the system then an hour before pickup I called again (thanks to previous reviews I was wary). On that final call I was told some one will arrive if available and they would call me when they arrived. This is the least reliable can service ever......
Made a reservation on the app the night prior for 0420AM. 0430 rolls past. I actually call coastal and they say they're sending the next available cab. The app just says it's dispatching the next available cab. 0500 rolls past so I just got a Lyft instead. Barely made it to my flight on time. Don't use the app to make a booking. Call coastal the night prior or just get an Uber or Lyft because they're more reliable.
This company is terrible, I reserved a cab the day before I needed it, then sat around waiting, called them 15 min after my pick up time, they said there were none available, how do you accept a reservation without actually knowing a cab was going to be available? Or if you accept a reservation make sure a cab is available, this is why they are becoming obsolete and uber is taking over
Reserved a ride over 12 hours in advance as impossible to get rideshare in our neighborhood and needed to get to airport. App never indicated anything about if a car was dispatched or not so I never would have known there was NOT one coming if I hadn't called and representative told me there was no car in the area. Don't offer reservation service if you can't deliver, especially with booking that far in advance. Also took forever to get a rep on the phone and she hung up on me mid convo.
Booked a pick up on this app the night before, they bailed on me 3 minutes before I was scheduled to be picked up. Really screwed me. At least cancel it an hour before so I can find an alternate ride (Lyft, Uber etc)
So I got deployment on the day I used it I scheduled it the day before at like 16 17 and it says its booked. I get up at 415 waiting for them to show up by 430. Call at 435 ask where they are and the guy says no one has aceppted the job yet call back at 445 which would make me late to the ship. The app should let you know that just cause it is booked doesn't mean they will be there on time.
Haven't even used it. Can't sign up on it. Keeps telling me I have an invalid last name. I've done everything possible including reinstalling the app.
Said it sent an email to reset my password, but it didn't. Tried to register a new account, but I couldn't. Would really prefer to use an app to hire a cab, but it just doesn't seem possible.
App cant use my home address or work address. It just wont pull it up. Both in Norfolk. I have to call a cab company everytime. I'll probably just uninstall. What's the point?
They took a booking for a set time and then the taxi never showed up. We called and then told us they were still looking for a someone to pick us up and 30 minutes later and nothing. They are the worse. Do not use them.
This app is trash. What's the point of scheduling a ride if they don't pick you up at the time you requested. Now I have to miss a day of work cause they're unreliable.
Downloaded new app just booked a cab but i see the app already has some glitches to it once you book cab it wont let you go back to the main page another screen keeps popping up
Terrible. Just...no. Waited over an hour just for them to tell me that there aren't any drivers available. Completely useless.
Coastal rides have never been reliable, I have waited hours for a ride and I would never hear back
It started ok but when you have to wait 30 min just to get a cab booked then waiy another 30 min for a cab to acctually get there you could have used uber and been where you want to go in 20 min
I keep getting an "Internal Server Error" when I try to login or create a new account. I also can't access the desktop site either.
App won't even let you log in??? This app is absolute garbage lol who even is in charge of it's maintenance? It's been bugged for months
Flat out doesn't work. Much like the phone number for their actual business.
Taxis do not come on time. Make sure you book with ATLEAST and extra half an hour.
It's so hard to set time for pick up. Also, there's no option to pay by credit card.
No driver's , I book a ride and wow waiting over an 1.5hrs . I walked home from where I work at normally it's a $10 or $11 Uber/Lyft . Or 1.5hr walk home . I don't see how they stay in business . I guess from all the hospitals and airports giving them business .
Booked a cab the day prior for work and takes 2+ hours after the scheduled pick up to even have a cab in-route.
I am thankful for this opportunity to get to ride with acompany like Coastal Ride they really are reliable
works great...book ahead..and no surge pricing! Safer than Uber and Lyft...the drivers background check is done at police station...
Worked (mostly) until two weeks ago, when both app and web booking went down. After 3 days, sent e mail to support to let them know there was issues....only to be told they are aware,but is being worked on...the quality shows. Tried calling to book instead, #70+ in que at the time, gave up. If the can not be bothered to fix an obvious glaring issue (and obviously a problem) I suppose I can not be bothered to use the service further. Should not have to jump through hoops for a basic service.
