What's the benefit of disabling a built-in app?
Normally, Android applications that came preinstalled on Android devices can be a little cumbersome: it can eat your battery or even make your phone to struggle with different actions you're not aware of.
By disabling a preinstalled app, you give your Android device room to grow, reduce battery usage, and even get rid of certain icons in the launcher you can't usually remove, because it came preinstalled. For example, are you a Gmail user but you also have a Mail app impossible to uninstall? With this app, you can disable it.
Why disable it and not uninstall it?
Simple: if you screw something up, you can always came back to the app and re-enable it. If you suffer for any force-close or apps becoming unresponsible, go back to the app and toggle the state once again. If you uninstalled the app, you're no longer able to recover it, unless you have a backup somewhere and still, it won't probably be as it was before.

Would be better if there was a search option. +a toggle button nex to the app u press then u choice disable rather the usual by selecting, causr theres a chance to select by mistake and may disable an important thing that will cause problems.
Simple app that gets the job done easily! Totally recommended, just remember that you need to have your cellphone rooted!

However there should be an option to toggle between user and system apps because I keep my system apps disabled for good but I will go in and freeze/defrost my users apps multiple times a day to save battery & keep my ram as free as possible. Needs multiple sort options as well including, sort by last modified and sort by most frequently changed. This would be pretty awesome! Also when an app is in red, can you make that 1 pixel horizontal line also red. It will look much better imo. Thanks in advance.
I have a Xiaomi MI5 running Android marshmallow and would like to use this software to disable some the Chinese MI apps. But on this phone I do not see the messages or the main screen. See screen shots
Does its job perfectly (rooted device). So far it has been the best app for this purpose, completely satisfied.
Works flawlessly and simple to use. Literally select the app you want to disable and done. Of course you need root which is stated in the title.
Hey great app man..just what I was looking for..But please could you provide an option to create a list of apps I can disable or enable as per the need...As all the apps come in single list..chances are that I may disable a crucial app of the system accidentally... So if you just allowed the user to select which apps should be seen in the list so they can disable them whenever they want...Great app though..
Open app and just a blank screen with a pop up that says close app.

I have a Sony Experian. On this phone it just opens the window to choose which app to stop, but doesn't show any apps and just shows "close app". To other reviewers, there is no point saying it doesn't work, unless you say which device you're using! At least give the developer useful feedback, so they might understand which devices it doesn't work on. Thanks developer. Best wishes. VM
