Does not create backup on SD card, instead creates it on internal storage. I used the app to backup app list while resting my mobile. With reset the app backup also got deleted.
This is always the second app I install on a new device - Avast Security is the first. Makes configuring a new device a snap.
This did not work at all. Waste of time. No point as when i installed it and then saved the app. The micro sd didnt save anything (in new phone)
Backed up to my SD card then installed a new Android version. When I tried to restore it said no file found. Worse than a waste of time.
Same problem as others. Backed up App list, reset phone, reloaded app, it said no saved list on SD card. Nothing had been reformated and the SD card hadn't even been removed from the phone. Useless waste of time.
Do not have SD card so found the doc, tried to open it so I cld save it in Google docs and all it had in the text was a number 2! Will stick with Easy Backup and Restore. Don't need to pay to save via email with that App either. Uninstalled.
I use it every time I install a new ROM or switch phones. I have titanium backup but with most apps being cloud based these days, I prefer to avoid the mess - so I use app list backup instead bc it's simple and clean.
Pro version no longer functions, with Android OS v6.0.1 Marshmallow update; abandonware (no app update since 8/28/15)? But I tried this original free version (no app update since 8/20/15); it seems to work okay, though has ads. No response by developer, to email inquiries. :::crickets::: Perhaps you could place that v6.0 disclaimer at the TOP of your app description, not on the LAST line.
Backed up to SD card. When I reset my phone and reinstalled the card I was greeted with a "No SD card" error. Big disappointment. This app is a classic "you had ONE job" meme.
Successfully created backup to SD card, then factory reset my phone. Backup file is still on SD card, but this app tells me "No backup found." Utterly worthless.
worst app i ever seen it doesn't save apps but tells u to download them from play store just a piece of crap WORST APP IN THE HISTORY IF SMARTPHONES
Thanks, now, only if you could please back up my brain, it's slowly falling apart.
Good but can be better. Would like more control to backup and restore. Selecting backup directory and choosing restore directory.
Perfect for when changing devices.
I read the reviews, thought, "This sounds ideal", installed it, used it, checked the backup on my SD card. Wiped the phone, installed the app, hit Restore - Nothing Found. I run an HTC One M8, if that makes any difference?
Have since switched to My App List, which offers automatic export in XML and is open source.
I use lenovo a7000, had SD card in while taking the backup, and then reset the phone. No backup found upon restore.
No back up version? How about auto backup?
I Like This App
Never worked
Its great that this makes a list of all your current apps but the point behind doing so is in case something happens to your phone. Backing up to the SD card defeats this purpose and email backup is not optimal. They should add support for Dropbox and Google Drive among others.
Followed the procedure, directory saved to SD card, yet no backup found.
Looked over app and decided to buy pro version since they stated clearly it would backup the app list to EXTERNAL SD card. It did NOT. Only internal storage with no choice. This is the sole purpose of this app. So gents that created this app I recommend you fix this false listing before I recommend you to Google review board.
I root all my phones. So I understand how important it is to have your apps backed up. This app does backup your app list, but not their data - like titanium backup. But this app is free and works on NON ROOTED devices. After downloading the app you can back up your list. Then wipe your phone. Once you reboot, apps start downloading on their own. That simple.
I installed the app, backed up to "internal" sdcard ONLY even after you responded to a review about adding sdcard-ext telling that person that you added this feature n that it would go to the external sdcard....IT DOES NOT!.....i copied n pasted the file to my EXTERNAL sdcard but I can't open the file. How will I be able to restore my apps since I can't open the file? I need help b4 I reset my phone, I refuse to lose my apps! 5 stars after successfully helping me...Thank you for your time :-)
You better be sure you understand the difference between sdcard and extsdcard. Otherwise you'll overwrite your backup without warning. My noob mistake for sure, but a smartly written app would refer to removable and non removable space.
Really quick way to save a list of all installed apps, with market links to re-install on a new device. But app needs more refinement to make it rather more user-friendly - could then be 5*. Currently it always overwrites the previous app list without warning. If you rename the file to protect it, the app can't see it (it has to be named "apps.alb" and nothing else). Why not offer a choice of all the ".alb" files when doing a restore?
Nothing fancy, no frills just a list of what we had brought down and installed. Now we have the list without having to write it down. Starting to do some ROMing and now we have a means of restoring our apps from ROM to ROM. Thank you, Chuck
Backup succeeded told me everything was backed up to my SD card. After factory reset, tried to restore and the app told me there is no backup file. So I lost everything.
