Rating 1 star so that you're more likely to read this :P will change to 5 star later :) can you please make the "waiting for Shizuku" notification a shortcut to open the Shizuku app, or add a button to do the same? It would make it a lot more convenient to start it on Android 12 with wireless adb. Proper review: it works great, I've been using the paid version for years and it does exactly what it's supposed to do!
It does the job for me. I managed to block some apps from reading the clipboard, because they were doing it without my consent or control. As for improvements, I wish the app had an option to reset the permissions instead of making a choice. The "reset all settings to system default" doesn't work for me, if that should be what I'm looking for.
Why not move on zygisk magisk ? Lately many of things are broken , permission resets on its own. May be reconsider new method.
Great app but automatic recovery is not working properly on MIUI. Especially it's not working with version 5.5.2.
it stops suddenly showing message: App Not Responding!!
Since the "redesign", this application has gone downhill, no matter how much the author defends his decision. One example (besides having to install another app so this one can actually work), permissions I had before are disappearing, even when restored from a backup, so now I have to check the whole app list to see what this application decided to change and then fix it. It's getting to be not worth the effort to have this.
Just f.r.e.e.z.e.s. {update} severely freezes the phone during endless restore. Shockingly google account is needed to buy. Backup won't backup system files which is absolutely wrong (I know the excuse - it's wrong). And that's the main fault, necessity to do hundreds of click manually even on the same phone because dev decided it's is "dangerous" to backup system files (again, it is absolutely not). Let's make it optional at least.
With every update the App. is loosing its most basic function of controlling the Appops. The worst experiance ever now nothing changes even after changing the permissions in delegated admin mode with Island. Actually it is even automatically allowing permission which are denied through system. So is much more risky as have completely lost control over permission due to this app. This is even happening even after using recovery mode recently introduced. I seriously miss the 3.x version.
Awesome app, exactly what i was looking for. i hated certain apps taking audio focus, after using this app for one minute i was able to deny that permission, tested the apps in question and it worked like a charm. The features in this app should be a built in features of Android.
I am pretty upset about the decision to remove root mode. It was working perfectly for me with no issues. Now I have to install another app with another background service that has to run all the time or stay on an old version.
I use this app all the time to keep big bro from being on my back apl the time. If only i didnt have to restart Shizuku all rhe time.
Disappointed about the removal of root mode Edit: Yeah, thanks for having the older version for us to download, although it causes trouble in updating applications. I will appreciate that if you could just leave the older version's download link in the description.
83 apps from "my account" (0).Restore to "my account" (0).Why doesn't work the backup and restore anymore?I have installed the latest paid version + shizuku.I have excluded them from battery optimization. My backup it is a few months old meaning it is a good compatible backup. Before it worked on previous versions!Your app is worthless if I reinstall another rom or reset my phone,I will be forced to setup all the permissions again one by one with my own hands ! I'm on android 10. PLEASE FIX THIS !
Very well done. Keeps intrusive apps from misbehaving. Don't let the no root haters get to you. The move was in the best interest for both the users and the devs. Make sure to read the documentation if you have any reservations.
I already want my $ back, because of the removal of root mode. What a bunch of BS. On top of that, the devs are pushing Shizuku as an alternative...which is also written by the same people. The devs really should consider releasing a separate, not updated legacy version that still has root mode. But really, just refund me already. I'm unlikely to support this dev again in the future.
After manipulations, my OS begun to freeze sometimes, and kick applications from memory, so they must be started again when you return to them. “Restore permissions” does not work at all.
have to downgrade this to 1 star. This app hangs upong start for long 30s until network timeout reached. it obviously tries to go to internet but i have firewall and any thraffic for this app is blocked. If i disable wi-fi/4G it immediately loads. Extremely wrong behaviour considering the fact that i paid for this app. Another example why people NEVER should pay for android apps and support developers that dont understand basic rules.
Of course after I buy the app magisk and built in root mode get removed. Both worked before. Now the shizuku mode doesnt detect magisk root :-( I wish I would have known that before I purchased it. Great app otherwise.
version 5 all setting not save after restart my phone that not happen in version 4. downgrade to version 4 now working fine, I have android 10 with root. Edit: after update , app works great five stars.
Please add 1. Internet blocker for each individual app. 2. WhatsApp online status block. 3. Still a lot of app specific permissions missing. I think this app needs tons of improvements. That's why I requested for a refund, but it is cancelled without giving me a reason.
Good intention but for non-root devices require to activate it connected to a computer after every reboot. It's not practicable and useless this way. Hope will change this.
It works but sometimes stops and won't auto-start, even if I allow it to auto start.
Wow, this is app has amazing potential. I had not previously been introduced to sui before, but it's easy to figure out. The functionality, in terms of quality, is great too. However, there's not a lot you can do other than deny permissions. You can't even uninstall apps, for example. And good luck trying to reach the developer-- he or she will not respond to inquiries. I miss the good old days before when Jrummy apps were still worthwhile.
