Has tons of great information. IP addresses servers ports and the type of connection each one makes. I absolutely love it. It is a must have if you like to know what apps do in the background check out of control of the accounts on my phone. Now i just need an app to cut down on the amount of permission an app is allowed giving it complete control of my phones.

Well done! Kudos to your Dev team, or the one who came up with the brilliant requirement to group the information. So many apps provide similar data and detail, and they all present it in the same old linear, random mess of a list that we have to scroll through. The grouping in this app is not only convenient, it increases the use fullness! Informal user story for you: What most users care about is the ability to identify the potential rouge or outlier traffic amongst the sea of others. :)

It's great, it really is. I'm pretty paranoid and love that it breaks everything down. I really wish I could keep using it. Can we get a whitelist that allows us to silent notifications on an app-by-app or server-by-server? Maybe have a single notification each day for those ones and the rest as it currently is? I can't stand the constant notification noise and as part of my job I CANNOT silence my phone and I don't want to disable my notifications. Unfortunately, that means uninstallation.

Hi, great app, i have all kinds off apps that just started up on my phone. the only problem is i have no idea exactly what I'm looking at. But my phone is definitely hacked. i don't have a amazonaws account, nor do i use Google play tv and movies but all are running in usa and Ireland. along with 65 other apps that just started running.

overall, for free, I dont recall seeing any ads, although there very well might be some, they simply arent prominent. Functionally, this program opens up a means of catching bugs as they act on net resources, allowing you to identify shady ad pushers that otherwise would be difficult to figure out what program theyre linking with. solved my problems, and i just keep it active afterwards. cheers

It works, but the new version always runs in the background and keeps sending alerts. Rather than turning off alerts a full stop exit would be preferable to nix the background CPU and battery usage. RM'ing, too much of both an annoyance and drain.

People like to override my settings and delete collection info but still they are unable to do it all with the exreme amout of connection data this app, has proved truth on many connections and apps that have always been a problem. Give it try it will save time and finding unwanted connections. Keep in mind I would give a better review if i didnt have unknown developers trying to remotly control how my apps are workng, this would only ok for times in need but thats not why they did

App Snich: Notifies each connection an App makes to other devices on my local network. The program allows me to know how well a connection App does its job, the settings default on App Snitch to ensure my privacy in other App's connections. I've no complaints, & I hope to keep it running, the information & protection has been done well. Good development!

I have used this in the past. What happen was the guy who access my phone kept going from app to app infecting each app so this appilcation each time would project the app as bad. That guy is smart and twisted. Not sure if it will work for you but if the bad guy gets in you either should do a Network reset then a full factory reset or upgrade and secure your new phone. These sit at home twisted techey will get your phone each time.

I think it's great at what it does, it lets you know what applications are running in the background and what servers they are communicating with. It's also at no cost with no ads, people need to rate it according in my opinion. Don't trust the low rating.

I originally gave this 1* because all I had was a blank screen, then I uninstalled it. Came across it again & seen it was updated so I tryed again & it's working, quite impressively I might add. Only 4* for now until I investigate the ins & outs, but I'm very impressed what I've seen so far. It's nice to know an app of this caliber is available.

why would Norton Mobile Security use ununencrypted connections? and my email make an ununencrypted connection when nothing is coming nor going? Thanks for making this App. All my Apps say that they weren't downloaded from the Google Play Store, that might be a bug. And why would my smart phone have connections to private servers in Russia Federation, and China and Ireland and unknown countries. i don't have any apps from those countries. Thanks. May i ask what country this app was made in?

On the whole a great app worthy of 5* but if possible it'd be good to be able to get an idea of the data that's being sent over unencrypted connections because a lot of supposedly secure apps seem to communicate with servers using port 80.

I wish developer would REMOVE THE ADS! Love the app otherwise. The ads are not overly intrusive, but i don't want the distractions when I'm trying to focus on the details of who & what is connecting to my device.

nice app. seems to only find apps in play store. What about the apps downloaded from other app stores like Samsung, Amazon and other places? would be a nice feature as a good portion of Samsung phones have apps downloaded from Samsung store. That along with a Help section would be great. Thank you for all your time and work in making this app and Keep up the good work!

IT WORKS GREAT ON MY HAUWEI COPPER PLUS. IT FOUND A REMOTE CONNECTION,FROM AN UNKNOWN REMOTE SERVER FROM AN UNKNOWN APP NOT FROM PLAY STORE. I mean, it really broke it down for me. AND THE COPY TO CLIPBOARD THE IP ADDRESS. I WOULD GIVE TEN STARS. SO, PEOPLE, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR. MY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION. ANDROID 9 and lower.

Great Tool. Does something I've never seen before and fills a niche thats been long neglected. It would be cool to be able to block certain servers, but i dont expect that functionality tbh.

Ken. R. Feb 14, 2019

This looks like an obvious 1st step in the development of a terrific app, but right now, it is pretty useless. Would you let me know when it will let me make a blocklist, or a disable-app, or SOMETHING. I mean, Fandango contacts the mothership, yeah, but unless I kill the app, what good is knowing it? I need more info, but I'm interested in your efforts.

Great concept but it would be better is there would be a way to stop the app from doing data exchange. Like stop fb as an example. - *If you could... That would be great!

This app gives you the ability to do something that every phone should have built-in in the first place. Great defense app! Thank you! (Update)I just wish i could still use it on my newer phone. I am extremely disappointed i cant even install it. It wouldnt be so bad if i just couldnt update it. This just reaffirms my belief that google always goes against truth and transparency when and where it matters. And to think they smugly made their motto "dont be evil"at one point. Theyre evil incarnate. Anyways id still like to thank the app snitch devs for all of their hard work and just let you guys know that this app LITERALLY had saved my life when it allowed me to discover bad actors had targeted me. To summarize, My device had been compromised and i was being gang stalked. May God bless you

Wow! Very interesting! Not sure exactly yet as to what I'm looking at but, I have notice before, when looking in my settings apps, a lot of my apps, Google wise, never say at bottom, 'app installed on Google play store' and never show on playstore that there on my phone? And have always wondered why?? Well, this app showed me that I wasn't just thinking I was losing my mind?! Picked that right up?!! Now, what to do? Very odd? Great app!! Thank you DEVS!! Interesting! 🤔

ok I don't make reviews but in this case I have to this hands down one the best apps out there . it informs you on all the unusual ports , unencrypted connections in fact there's a lot about this app I don't understand which I'd love to learn because it would be so beneficial to the security of my phone . how can I contact the developer?

A. G. u. Feb 5, 2019

great idea. problem is it can't run in the background because of the battery draining issue. so it's only useful if it's open and running. that's a problem. for this to be effective I would have to leave it on my front screen all the time.

Fantastic, easy-to-use app. Tells me so much that I didn't know! I've learned, for example, a popular VPN app that I use for security at times has made numerous connections to a Facebook server & nowhere in the app description does it list an affiliation with FB. I've never used it to access FB & I largely avoid FB due to privacy concerns. I can now ask the VPN developer why & delete if needed. App Snitch can empower you to regain control & understand what your apps do "behind the scenes".

1. Stopped reporting new connections after some time (sorry for not noticing the time); 2. Did not report new connections requests from Opera browser, only to amazon.aws (I'm not sure, though, that these requests were not, in fact, pulled from cache server, however, it's not likely - I requested a not very popular address, and a page for sure not in my cache); 3. Reported Google Maps as an app "not installed from Google Store" (it was installed from Store, not via APK or other download).

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for App Snitch! It is LITERALLY one of the top 5 most useful apps on my security-leaking Android. Without App Snitch, I never would have known that apps from even some of the bigger companies, even security, often make unencrypted connections (like Google Chrome, Opera Browser, Facebook, Google Messages+, Avast Premium Security, Dark Sky, even android.uid.phone!!!). So far the only thing I can do when apps doing this is uninstall them, except for android.uid.phone!
