No longer works. Once upon a time, this was a wonderful app, but it seems to no longer be supported. Only get a "can't reach server" message. I uninstalled and reinstalled with the same result.
Worthless!!! Changed from Note 8 to Note 10+ keep getting error "Unable to reach server" when trying to sign in wit google. App has been "downloading" since February 1st. I have contacted the developer twice regarding my problem and have not received any reply at all. Guess I am just screwed out of the $12+ dollars I paid HikerBot for three trail sections.
When it works, it's fantastic. But I just opened it up for the hike tomorrow and it kept crashing. Once it started working and then stuck on a blank screen before it crashed again. Uninstalled it. Will try again next month.
FLAGGED APP AS INAPPROPRIATE Unable to reach server. Can't log in, can't dl the trail, can't do anything because it can't reach server. Reach out to developers via email (only option) zero response. Great concept pitiful execution. Update: Found developers page on fb and sent many messages. Seems they removed page or blocked me without ever replying even though they read my messages. Huge red flag
SCAM! Free version has NO DOWNLOADABLE MAPS!!!! (it's WORTHLESS if you can't keep the maps on your device and use it off-grid!!!) Maverick DOES allow free maps! So does Navigator, US Topo Maps, etc. (and about a dozen other navigation apps) THIS IS A RIPOFF
I've just downloaded the app. Trying to download maps, continue to get msg " unable to connect to server." I see that several people have made note of this in the last 60 days.. Problems with server script??
Thank you for a great app to plan my hiking trip with my son. Even if its only 26+ miles on our planned hike, it is a short section of the AT. Maybe it will get me motivated to hike the rest of it in sections. starting out at Rt 2 in NH north to Grafton notch. Maybe later keep heading north till the end, then south later as time allows.
I downloaded the app 4 hours ago and it still hasn't downloaded the maps!!! I looked for an opportunity to pay to download faster and can't find the option. I wish I could rate on the app itself but I can't get an opportunity to use it!!! 😞
offline works, but the details (springs, campsites, etc) were sparse. having good topo maps was still pretty useful tho.
this is an amazing free app. had my phone on airplane mode and this did everything I wanted. helping find water sources and setting goals for the day.
I'm out on the trail now, and this app has been really helpful and reliable. Better than the expensive app.
This was my go-to app for hiking... now it will not work at all. Very disappointed. Please fix.
Very comprehensive maps. A huge help for planning my section hikes!
App has been running all night and has not downloaded a trail map yet...
The only downside is the slow download speed, but it works great.
will give 5 stars one the app is working again it will not download the map data or or off WiFi edit I'm on a note edge

Installed App 10 days before setting out on my 2019 AT through hike. App never finished downloading the offline maps, and I was connected to home hi-speed wifi almost the entire time. Email support from developer was surprisingly good, but I have to head out today and only a few of the maps ever finished. My wife paid for the ATC app and no issues there. this app is free so I understand, but it didnt work out for me.
