Dropped stars - not always up to date. Infact missing a lot of apps on sale. According to this app hardly any sales so think I'll delete, plenty of websites to use instead. --------- Helpful app since the Play Store removed the 'apps on sale' section (such a disappointment). Has great filter capabilities that really do work! The only let down is the watchlist. It constantly states no changes to my selection of apps when there are.
Another update with the typical surprise: Country list not expanded and therefore inaccurate pricing. Doesn't that render your app useless to any country not on your list of 19 countries? Whatever country I select the pricing does not match the Playstore price. Really ridiculous that app lacks a decent list of countries and in every update since years this is not addressed. 🥺🤷♂️
Nice app that pulls all sales items. It categorizes into separate tabs for free and reduced price apps. There is a feature that allows you to wishlist an app and when it goes on sale, it will notify you.
You asked for a review following the update. Here it is. The watchlist still doesn't work and apart from that I can't see any improvement whatsoever. I also wrote to you previously about the watchlist and you never even bothered to reply. So, sorry but thanks for nothing.
Seems like a good idea, but the watchlist us useless for me because the AppSales app doesn't seem to know any of the apps I am interested in.
Does what it says and has been reliable for years with custom settings, and hasn't had glitches when OS builds are updated. Has a lot of custom settings in the completely free version, and has even more with a small payment to unlock premium. It'll save you more than you'll spend to get the premium features. There's really no reason to not use this app. Utilities, games, themes, tools, entertainment, and anything you call think of. If you ever spend money on an app, this is always useful.
I check it everyday! The only issue is there's a ton of icon packs in the way of actual apps. if there could be some sort of filter for different types of apps, that would be great! Edit: as of the 10.0 update, there is a filter exclusion setting! Thank you developer, that's exactly what I was hoping for! Upped to 5 stars
I discovered and purchased several great apps through this, and I'm seriously thinking of subscribing to the paid version down the line! The one problem it has is it doesn't reliably detect changes in in-app purchase prices (or at all, I can't say which one). One of the apps I added to my watchlist had its max in-app purchase price reduced by 30%. That's relevant as in that app the max price buys the full version. Alas, AppSales didn't detect the price drop. Fix that and it'll be 5 stars!
Horrible update! Added in video ads, pushing us towards the 1.99 a YEAR subscription. If AppSales had a paid version (not a subscription), I would have bought it years ago. Took away the free category so now we have to go through multiple steps to see the free apps on sale without other paid sale apps. I liked the old way it showed me apps. It seemed like the relevant apps were always in the first list. Not even tinkering with the settings helps now. Took away the community rating system also.
Best app that I've used so far for finding cheap sales and sometimes free paid apps. Has wishlist notifications, which the play store does not. I also love the highlights tab that shows the deals on only the top, more popular apps. I'm building quite the premium app library for fractions of their actual cost. Overall, this is much easier than looking through the deals section on the play store. Highly recommended.
I like this app however missing sorting options(price or discount), group or filter to apps or games (if it is an option to do), discount tab shows 100% free ones as well which have separate tab. However still a better browsing experience than play store. Yes I found the filter on main tab which is pretty handy but it is far from ideal. Still a great app though.
+The subscription fee is reasonable. +It does a great job finding stand alone paid apps on discount. -The swipe feature is very very sensitive, so while scrolling the list, it can swipe (remove) a listed app. •The Watchlist could use an Export/Import feature, useful when a swipe was accidentally used [or increase the Undo time]. -Sale apps in Watchlist are sorted at the top of the list for just 2 days. This makes it possible these apps could be overlooked when viewed after 2 days.
Very useful app for finding free/discounted apps on the play store. The only downsides are that the ratings of some apps shown in AppSales are not always accurate (though this doesn't happen too often, it is still annoying when it does happen), and sometimes I will come across apps on the play store that are on sale but are not shown in AppSales. Other than that, like I said this app is quite useful and definitely worth having on your android device!
You scroll through the list with apps to see what's below...and then...it renews itself...and you start from the top again... And you scroll through the list again to get to the app you stopped at...and it renews again in several minutes...aaaagggrr...what the f...???? It can drive crazy anyone)...beyond this it's perfect app :-). But these 'games' with renewal of list with apps every several minutes with losting focus for user on where he/she/it was it is one of the worst things in the world).
This is a wonderful app. Now, I can fill up my library with games and apps I'll probably never use.
Edit 2: why won't it accept all apps that are on the Play Store for the watchlist? Installed on new Android phones (9+10), works fine! Edit: please add empty bin for deleted choices! Still loving the app! It covers the usual type of freebie but also some really great apps. Its watchlist just paid dividends. I just saved nearly £30 on a pro version I put on it without much hope when it was about £10. Price had rocketed but I left it there in case it dropped. Honestly didn't think I'd get it free!
Good opportunities! Most frustrating thing about the app is the minimal touch required to dismiss and "lose" the app. "Select" an app with the wrong touch, it's wipes off the screen and dismisses app from list! Needs an UNDO or "restore dismissed apps" function OR (preferably) a less-sensitive swipe to dismiss (swipe an inch or more to dismiss).
Very useful app! Great UI, lots of customization re: what apps appear in the list. I do wish it was possible to opt out of viewing/getting notifications for an entire category at once from the Settings > Categories page; and to search/filter directly from the app list.
Has literal value $. Can save you money or introduce you to a new app. Reliable 80% of the time. I say this because it misses "on sale" & free apps sometimes. That could be due to the fact that it hasn't been updated since 2020 though. New Android versions & API's guys, come on.
I would like to have the option to receive notifications only about true free apps and games, and filter them for the most stared ones as well as the option to sort the apps by stars and by original price in order to filter the junk, unuseful apps. Noticed that not all of the apps on Google's Play store are searchable. Also, an AMOLED theme can never harm an app. I will update the review as soon as these crutial features get their way to the app and when you reply to me so I notice.
Been using this for awhile, after discovered few years ago. Totally unbothered with the premium trial because the free version was enough for my usage. It will notify the best deals you could get in store by daily basis. Just that, was frustrated with the Now Free app listing because most of them were the lowest quality app you could find in Play Store (I would blame Google for allowing these craps to be published in store). Overall satisfied with AppSales.
Amazing app ideal to get great discounts on Android apps. I'm unsure if it's because of the most recent Android update or because of a recent bug but the lower half of all list disappeared and can't be interacted with. Scrolling is also broken. Hope you guys fix it soon !
Edit : Removing 2 stars because I just realized now you don't get temporary premium anymore for watching an ad but just temporary ad-free for 1 days, exit temporary premium features. Completely useless watching ads now. Something to make it even better, maybe changing price colors when there's a discount and/or when it's free instead of all white, that way we can see at a glance.
