AppShut : Close running apps

Simple, easy to use interface. No frills here, just does what it's supposed to do-shuts off running apps. Allows you to "blacklist" apps so that they aren't labeled for shut-off, which is useful if force stopping certain apps causes issues for you, or you just want to keep certain apps running no matter what. No ads, and no purchases necessary to enjoy all features of this app. Would recommend.

I'd say it works half way cause a lot of times when I decide to close all my apps (specially Face Book) in order to play "lag free", I go back into this app just to see that most of the apps I just closed 5 seconds ago are back open again. Don't know what's the deal with that, but I need to repeat process for it to really work. Otherwise would probably gave it a 4 or 5 stars.

Don't like giving bad reviews. I have been using this app for some time with great success. This last 2 updates has really messed things up. I had given it a five-star but with this last update it is unusable. I tried clearing the cache and data and force stopped the app shut program but the program will no longer open up. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still cannot get the program to open. Using Samsung S8 active

Nice app, closes all that i see. I would pay for option to inhibit apps opening once identified - what app shows now is apps that have opened. Whats the point of learning which apps open if you can't choose to stop them from opening, short of deletion that is. For example, If i could, I would not open maps unless I needed maps, etc. I love the simplicity and ease of use. I have deleted some anoying apps due to their constant restarting and looked/found similar "happy" replacement apps.

This app does not close all apps chosen. It takes 3 - 4 click Close, to close all. It chooses not to close 2 apps I dont use, and are disabled!Half an hour later, all closed apps have been allowed to run again. Hate the lies! All apps in the Exception list are not a problem. Generally not impressed with this app. When streaming music, l need most apps closed.

If my tablet slows down, I use this app. My tablet speeds up immediately! So I know this App works. It is very important to specify which apps are to be excluded from the shutdown, otherwise secondary apps dealing with time, astronomy, weather and coundowns will malfunction. I would like to see this app babysit and automatically shut down specific misbehaving nonuninstallable apps. You won't know the bennefits of this type of app unless you try it for yourself, it really makes a difference!

it's very good at shutting down the background apps. except for those background apps that keep reloading automatically after so many minutes go by. I need some way to keep these background apps from reloading automatically after I shut them down.

Only 2 stars because of the following: It is great that you stay on top of your app by pushing updates. Sadly, you are pushing them way too often TBH. It's a pain in the A$$ needing to go and re allow the permission each and every time. Pls, unless it for a critical matter, hold off on releasing them instead of pushing one out as quick as possible.

I enjoy how this app works, it's much easier than going into settings, scrolling down to apps and then if you are like me having apps open from games and it drains your battery from doing an update along with other self starting apps, it's a pain to go into each one to force stop. The AppShut app eliminates that by giving you boxes to check to stop unwanted running apps and also has an option to exempt apps that you want to keep running. I highly recommend this app. Very user friendly too.

Just started using this app, and it's just what I need. (I had used ShutApp by YirgaLab for many years, but it doesn't work correctly on Android 11). Great interface, easy to use, and it works smoothly. It would get 5 stars if it had a widget showing how many apps are running.

This actually shuts down each app down using Android services which means they stay shut off. What I like most? it doesn't wear down your battery by constantly accessing the internet and upload your personal information. In fact it doesn't even ask for that service. This app is first-rate and one of my must have apps! UPDATE: THIS USED TO BE FIVE STARS, BUT THE LAST TWO UPDATES HAVE REALLY SCREWED THIS UP SO IT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL

Why do certain apps not Force Stop? After it runs usual suspects have to manually be shut. For the most part this does what it's supposed to do. But I notice when I run it, things start up that were not on before. I do refresh it to make sure it has all apps running that it will be shutting down. After it does, 3 constant apps keeps appearing on the list, that I then shut down manualy, and they stay off for quite a while. Curious...hmmm? Update. What's with all the updates.

Ticking System tools prompts that they can only be stopped using the paid feature, but it doesn't bother to preview if its actually able to see the offending system apps you are wanting to see if this app can stop. Not going to pay only to refund. The demo should be a able to demo/show what it can actually detect and do even if it requires a purchase to actually do it.

Best app shutdown hands down! ✋ force closes each one correctly. UPDATE: An AD now covers the button, it still works but anyone new using will have a hard time finding it. Minus 2 stars for that trickery.

Very good apps. It kills all the sheets in your phone effectively to save battery, RAM and your data as well. I used this app every time when l take my phone to hand before I start to do anything on it. Hovewer most of the unwanted Android apps comes back later on but only the rooting phone would help completely.

This actually does what it says! That's good. But... I always have to enter the app in order to close the other apps? Maybe you could implement a panel on the status bar that lets us close all apps with literally a push of a button.

It can close/shutdown multiple apps with single tap/button, it has Exception list, .. it is very helpful . it does not use unnecessary or excessive Permissions/access, .. so it respects Privacy Rights, & not wasting energy+time. Thanks to dev.

Great app,I noticed on my galaxy 4 pad even after reboot after a day even that alot of programs stayed open,then I had to close them one at a time and took enough time to do etc. Not with this app a few clicks there gone! Very easy to use!

Been using the app for over a year now, and loved it!! Starting 2 days ago it doesn't open, just crashes. Uninstalled and reinstalled, still nothing. Still leaving 5 stars in hopes for a new working update.

the best app that Force Stop your chosen app that needed to be closed. it really works specially to android phones that have smaller RAM. but hopefully there would be an automatic appshut feature of this app so i wont need to keep on going to the appshut to close background app in my phone. thanks to the developer of this app.!

It worked my device but under android pie version device need to force stop manually and it only provide them running apps. Hope you will make it work as good as new android version mobiles. If you can make this app working in minimize it would be great coz it takes time stoping progress in full screen and while you can't do anything .

Stopped working, reinstalled it but didn't start working right away, few days later started working again but needed to setup my exceptions list again, and here's where I have a recommendation: A SELECT ALL BUTTON FOR THOSE OF US WHO HAVE ~300 THINGS TO ADD TO THE LIST. Also why was chrome removed from the exception list?

It KEPT crashing and/or asking for permission to shut down apps. Almost every time I used it, I had to give it access. Hopefully, this gets corrected and I can download the app again.

Initial queries are about aesthetics...beauty is only skin deep but ugly goes clear to the bone...pretty dont make practical. And when 2 apps close outta 15 launched . pretty simply aint good enough. Sorry dev, but ur app shutter needs work. Better luck with the next update. I dont have the tolerance to wait around for it tho...sorry. Uninstalling. Maybe in a few months...maybe
