The app is great. But: 1.previous version (year ago) supported Mi smoke detector. Why it does not support now? 2. Notifications sometimes don't appear on the screen. But it always appears when i run the app. Comparing to WhatsApp (for an example) notifications it works not so good. The rest is excellent, thanks for developers.
Cannot get my aqara hub to connect at all. Tried all different settings but just fails at the last step. Very annoying for a reasonably expensive but of kit. Edit- managed to connect hub directly to router rather than via WiFi extender. Turns out the accessories reach a good distance. Very impressed now it's working.
Broken piece of garage, while on IOS it at least works despite bad design choices on Android it can't even sync up to the hub unless you update the firmware first which you can only do after syncing up, better have ios device for that, second scenes don't actually work, activating one just gives an 1102 error. Refund your mi products, don't use this app. respectable competitors moght be slightly more expensive but at least they work.
Latest updates messed everything up. App always times out. Couldn't add same setup as before have to start again. All automation disappeared! Edit: can't connect to led bulbs. Can't reset bulbs. No reply from developer via email. Edit:new update, app is still laggy, takes 2sec to update for bulbs and another 2sec to execute the task. Edit. I fixed it myself. Figured out the problem. All official channels didn't know how to help.
The app doesn't connect to the hub. I tried with different wifi networks and ISP including phone hotspots, hub connects to the wifi just fine, but later on the app fails connecting to the hub(starting support cases will get you nowhere, tried that) . Everything works fine in the iPhone app, but the android app is broken, please fix.
Recently the app has become very unresponsive. Have to keep waiting for ages and it keeps showing me 'Time Out'. Not good development! Edit update on 19 Oct : The Aqara products on both Mi-Home and Aqara ecosystem has become unbearably unresponsive and unstable. I resign in frustration. Meanwhile, I have tried and tested Sonoff devices, which I find is very reliable and stable. I feel sorry to have spent so much on Aqara devices, a costly lesson to learn from.
I prefer this app to Mi Home as it uses a faster server and it is easier to use. I have 3 Mi Smart Plugs which work fine with this app but they do not show up on Google Home for some reason. Please add geofencing. Please add lack of internet connection and offline status of a child device as triggers for a routine.
I have few aqara devices connected to the hub (door/window sensor, wall switch, motion sensor, wireless switch). It works quite ok in the apps. However, after linked to google home, it only shows my Hub and door sensor, othee devices are not found in google home.
Cannot pair my newly bought aqara hub. Tried disabling 5G on my router, changed ssid to letters only. Tried both china and US regions and NOTHING!!!! keeps telling me that it failed switch to wifi in app. update: it paired using samsung galaxy s7, android 8. it still does not pair with oneplus6, android 9. you dont like oneplus or android 9?
Couldnt connect Aqara Hub to Mi Home so used this app instead. Worked good, together with temp/humidity sensor and motion detector. But shockingly, cant add any cameras because it's not even part of the setup list. Pretty useless then.
Excellent app update! So much easier to use! Just need Google assistant support for temperature & humidity sensors. IFTTT support would be great as well to make the whole investment worthwhile and help make my home smarter! 5 stars when both get support!
The motion detection is the most practical equipment i think. It is very flexible for home security. The APP can be pushed in time, very intelligent.
App can still further improve. MaJOR ISSUE. After upgrading to version 1.4.7. Add accessory list is totally blank, I now have 20pcs of switches and sensors but not able to add in. Please help to resolve soonest.

Does not let me register as it takes more than sixty seconds for them to send the verification code, and in the meantime, the app times out. Useless.
This app really needs an update! Cannot delete the hub when it's offline but I cannot get it back online as I tried to reset the hub. Some parts still in Chinese.
Wish it was as good as the Xiaomi app. Still having to use the Xiaomi app as not all Xiaomi decides show up on the aqara home app and I have some things linked. For example when I press a wireless mi button all of the aqara light switches turn off. Can't do this in the aqara app :-(
S2 smart door lock features quite a lot, automation is also very meticulous. Fortunately, there is no option for remotely openig the door.
Aqara swithes stop responding through the app. It shows active state whether the switch is turned on or off but all automation and turning on/off from the app just dosnt work anymore.

I like the app. Nice and clean. It pairs quickly with hub and devices. However, push notifications does not work. Please fix
Worst app, my aqara cameras are not working properly, keeps disconnecting without any reason, every feature is not working, the recording is worst in my experience comparing to mi app's cameras. I regret buying 3 cameras. BS
When I saw the rating, I just made a long sigh. But when I started registering the devices, this app is damn amazing. It works flawlessly. Just one request to developer. Please add the developer mode to Gateway v3, I want to use OpenHAB as well.
This is terrible, some of there devices work on Mi Home (which performs perfectly via Mi Home) but other devices like their 3 button D1 switch isn't available via Mi Home on the G2 camera. (there 1 and 2 button D1 switches are available) Using Aqara Home to turn on a light literally might work once then won't work again until going in an out of a sub menu. What a colossal mess. Forget this Aqara Home app and make all your device work from the China Mainland server in Mi Home.
My Aqara Hub is connected with 2 Zigbee child devices (curtain controller). While both the curtains are visible and working in Google Home application, but the Night light which comes integrated with Aqara Hub is visible in Aqara Home app and not visible in Google Home app. I'm unable to use Aqara night light from Google Home app.
The crappiest ever. The app uses location detect function. So buying aqara products overseas cannot be registered because app denies to register them (because detects devices location). Idiotic Chinese-Xiaomi policy. I regret i bought the equipment from gearbest. DO NOT BUY AQARA PRODUCTS FROM CHINA!
Everything is ok but the air conditioner controller. It is installed in the bedroom and the door is too far from the bedroom and cannot be connected.
Does not link to Google Home. Keeps having trouble connecting and did not get any response from tech support too. Will be good if it is at least support in IFTTT.

Each sensor sends regularly the ambient temperature and the device's battery level. That information should be shown on the app for each device. I don't want to go on a month long vacation not knowing that a device's battery is low and it is going to fail while on vacation. SmartThings, for example, shows each device's battery level.
